< Psalmowo 7 >
O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, wòe mesi tso, xɔ nam, eye nàɖem tso ame siwo katã le yonyeme tim la ƒe asi me.
A musical composition of David, which he sang to Yahweh concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. Yahweh my God, I take refuge in you! Save me from all who chase me, and rescue me.
Otherwise, they will rip me apart like a lion, tearing me in pieces with no one else able to bring me to safety.
3 O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, ne mewɔ nu sia, eye vɔ̃ lé ɖe nye asiwo ŋu,
Yahweh my God, if I have done this, and there is guilt on my hands—
4 ne mewɔ nu vɔɖi ɖe ame si li kplim le ŋutifafa me ŋuti alo meda adzo nye futɔ naneke mawɔmawɔtɔe la,
if I have done evil to him who was at peace with me, or senselessly harmed my enemy without cause, then hear my words.
5 ekema na nye futɔ nati yonyeme, eye eƒe asi nasu dzinye; na be wòafanyam ɖe anyigba, eye wòana matsi ke me adɔ. (Sela)
Then let my enemy pursue my life and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and lay my honor in the dust. (Selah)
6 O! Yehowa, tso, le wò dziku me; tso ɖe nye futɔwo ƒe nyanyra ŋuti. Nyɔ, nye Mawu, ne nàɖo ʋɔnu dzɔdzɔe dɔdrɔ̃ anyi.
Arise, Yahweh, in your anger; stand up against the rage of my enemies; wake up for my sake and carry out the righteous decrees that you have commanded for them.
7 Na be amehawo naƒo ƒu ɖe ŋuwò. Ɖu fia ɖe wo dzi tso dziƒo;
The countries are assembled all around you; take once more your rightful place over them.
8 na be Yehowa nadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu dukɔ la. O! Yehowa, tso afia nam le nye dzɔdzɔenyenye ta, O! Dziƒoʋĩtɔ, tso afia nam le nye nuteƒewɔwɔ ta.
Yahweh, judge the nations; vindicate me, Yahweh, because I am righteous and innocent, Most High.
9 O! Mawu dzɔdzɔetɔ, ame si dzroa susuwo kple dziwo me, na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔ nu natso, eye nàna dedinɔnɔ ame dzɔdzɔewo.
May the evil deeds of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous people, righteous God, you who examine hearts and minds.
10 Nye akpoxɔnue nye Mawu Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la, ame si ɖea ame si dza le eƒe dzi me.
My shield comes from God, the one who saves the upright in heart.
God is a righteous judge, a God who is indignant each day.
12 Nu metia kɔ nɛ o, anyre eƒe yi, eye wòavu eƒe dati me.
If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword and will prepare his bow for battle.
He prepares to use weapons against him; he makes his arrows flaming shafts.
14 Ame si fɔ nu vɔ̃ɖi ƒe fu, eye dzɔgbevɔ̃e zu fu wòfɔ la, adzi beble ƒe vi.
Think about the one who is pregnant with wickedness, who conceives destructive plans, who gives birth to harmful lies.
15 Ame si ɖe ʋe, heku eme wògoglo nyuie la age dze ʋe si eya ŋutɔ ɖe la me.
He digs a pit and hollows it out and then falls into the hole he has made.
16 Dzɔgbevɔ̃e si wòhe vɛ la atrɔ abali ɖe eya ŋutɔ ŋuti, eye eƒe ŋutasesẽ atrɔ ava eya ŋutɔ ƒe ta dzi.
His own destructive plans return to his own head, for his violence comes down on his own head.
I will give thanks to Yahweh for his justice; I will sing praise to Yahweh Most High.
