To the chief Musician upon Shushan-eduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
2 Èʋuʋu anyigba la, eye nèfee wòle nuvo, eya ta gatre eƒe gbagbãƒeawo, elabena ele ʋuʋum.
Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal its breaches; for it shaketh.
3 Èna ɣeyiɣi sesẽwo tu wò dukɔ la, eye nèna wain mí míeno mu hele yiyim sɔgɔsɔgɔsɔgɔ.
Thou hast shown thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Ke hena ame siwo vɔ̃a wò la, èkɔ aflaga dzi be wòanye akpoxɔnu ɖe woƒe aŋutrɔ ŋu. (Sela)
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)
5 Xɔ na mí, eye nàɖe mí kple wò nuɖusi, be ame siwo nèlɔ̃ la nakpɔ xɔxɔ.
That thy beloved may be delivered; save [with] thy right hand, and hear me.
6 Mawu ƒo nu tso eƒe kɔkɔeƒe la be; “Le dziɖuɖu me, mama Sekem, eye madzidze Sukɔt Balime hã.
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.
7 Gilead nye tɔnye, Manase hã tɔnyee. Nye gakukue nye Efraim, eye Yuda nye nye fiatikplɔ.
Gilead [is] mine, and Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of my head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;
8 Moab nye nye asiklɔgba, meɖe nye tokota ƒu gbe ɖe Edom dzi, eye medo dziɖuɖuɣli ɖe Filistia ta.”
Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
9 Ame ka akplɔm ayi du si ŋu woɖo gli sesẽ ƒo xlãe la me? Ame ka akplɔm ayi Edom?
Who will bring me [into] the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
10 O! Mawu, ɖe menye wòe o la, wò ame si gbe mí, eye mègadona kple míaƒe aʋakɔwo lae oa?
[Wilt] thou not, O God, [who] hadst cast us off? and [thou], O God, [who] didst not go out with our armies?
11 Kpe ɖe mía ŋu, ɖe míaƒe futɔwo ŋuti, elabena amegbetɔ ƒe kpekpeɖeŋu mele ɖeke me o.
Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.
12 To Mawu dzi, míaɖu dzi, eye míafanya míaƒe futɔwo ɖe anyigba.
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he will tread down our enemies.
