< Psalmowo 6 >

1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe kasaŋku kple seminit ŋu. O! Yehowa, mègaka mo nam le wò dziku me alo ahe to nam le wò dɔmedzoe helĩhelĩ me o.
For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David. Yahweh, don’t rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
2 Yehowa, kpɔ nublanui nam, elabena nu te ŋunye. O! Yehowa, yɔ dɔm, elabena nye ƒuwo le veve sem.
Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
3 Nye luʋɔ le nuxaxa me. Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi, O! Yehowa, va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi?
My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh—how long?
4 O! Yehowa, trɔ ɖe ŋunye, eye nàɖem; ɖem, le wò lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ta.
Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, and save me for your loving kindness’ sake.
5 Ame aɖeke meɖoa ŋku dziwò ne eku o. Ame kae kafua wò tso eƒe yɔdo me? (Sheol h7585)
For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? (Sheol h7585)
6 Mevɔ le eme keŋkeŋ le ŋeŋe ta; metsɔ aɖatsi ƒo nye aba, elabena mefa avi zã blibo la, eye nye aɖatsi wɔe be nye dɔƒe ƒo tsi belebele.
I am weary with my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. I drench my couch with my tears.
7 Nuxaxa na ɖeɖi te nye ŋkuwo ŋu; womegale nu kpɔm tututu o, le nye futɔwo ta.
My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
8 Mite ɖa le gbɔnye, mi nu vlo wɔlawo, elabena Yehowa se nye avifafa.
Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.
9 Yehowa se ɣli si medo be wòakpɔ nye nublanui; Yehowa xɔ nye gbedodoɖa alɔ eve.
Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh accepts my prayer.
10 Nye futɔwo katã ŋu akpe mi, eye miaƒe mo atsi dãa; woagbugbɔ ɖe megbe enumake kple ŋukpe.
May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly.
