< Psalmowo 58 >
1 David ƒe nufiameha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe “Mègagblẽ nu o” ƒe gbeɖiɖi nu. Ɖe mi dziɖulawo mietoa nyateƒea? Ɖe mietsoa afia dzɔdzɔe na amewoa?
For the leader. Al tashheth. Of David. A michtam. Do you speak what is right, you gods? With equity judge you your people?
2 Ao, nu madzɔmadzɔ wɔwɔ boŋ míeɖo ɖe miaƒe dziwo me, eye míaƒe asiwo wɔa ŋutasẽnu le anyigba dzi.
In the land you practise iniquity – all of you; violence do you dispense with your hands.
3 Ame vɔ̃ɖiwo tra mɔ tso keke woƒe vidzĩ me ke, eye tso wo dadawo ƒe dɔ me ke, wodze aglã, hedaa alakpa.
The wicked go astray from the womb liars take the wrong path from their birth.
4 Woƒe aɖi le abe da ƒe aɖi ene. Egale abe ƒli si xe nu eƒe to me ene,
Venom have they like the venom of snakes, they are like the deaf adder that stops her ears,
5 eye ne gbesala ɖe gbe nɛ la, mewɔa edzi o; aleke gbegbee dzotɔ la bi ɖe gbesasa mee hã la, mesenɛ o.
and refuses to listen to the voice of the charmer, or binder of spells, no matter how cunning.
6 O, Mawu, ŋe aɖu ɖe nu me na wo, O, Yehowa, tu tsyo na dzata la!
O God, break to pieces the teeth in their mouth, tear out the great teeth of the young lions, Lord.
7 Wo nu neyi abe tsi si si va yi la ene. Ne wovu woƒe dawo me la, woƒe aŋutrɔwo nu netsi.
May they melt away like running water! Like tender grass, cut down may they be!
8 Wole abe abɔbɔ si va yi, eye etoƒe bu la ene. Wonenɔ abe fu gege ene, be womakpɔ ɣe o.
Like the snail that dissolves on its crawling path, like the birth untimely which sees not the sunlight.
9 Hafi miaƒe zewo nase ŋutidzo si wodo ɖe wo te ŋkɔ, eɖanye mumua, alo ƒuƒua o, woakplɔ ame vɔ̃ɖi la adzoe.
Faster than a thorn-fire heats your pots, he will come with his tempest and sweep them away.
10 Ame dzɔdzɔewo akpɔ dzidzɔ, ne wole hlɔ̃ biam ɖe wo nu, eye wole woƒe afɔwo klɔm ɖe ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe ʋu me.
The sight of such vengeance will gladden the righteous; their feet they will wash in the blood of the wicked.
11 Ekema amewo agblɔ be, “Vavã, wogale eteƒe ɖom na ame dzɔdzɔe, eye Mawu aɖe li si drɔ̃a ʋɔnu anyigba vavã.”
People will say, “Yes, the just are rewarded: yes, on the earth is a God who is Judge.”
