To the Chief Musician: with Stringed Instruments. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. When the Ziphites came and said unto Saul, Is not, David, hiding himself, with us? O God! by thine own Name, save me, And, by thine own strength, wilt thou vindicate me?
2 O! Mawu, se nye gbedodoɖa, eye nàƒu to anyi ɖe nye numenyawo ŋu.
O God! Hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth;
3 Amedzrowo tso ɖe ŋunye, ŋutasẽlawo ti nye agbe yome, ame siwo mebua Mawu ɖe naneke me o. (Sela)
For, aliens, have risen up against me, And, men of violence, have sought my life, They have not set God before them. (Selah)
4 Mawu nye nye xɔnametɔ vavã, Aƒetɔ lae nye ame si lém ɖe asi.
Lo! God, is bringing me help, My Lord, is with the upholders of my life;
5 Vɔ̃ negbugbɔ va ame siwo le ŋunye gblẽm la dzi, tsrɔ̃ wo le wò nuteƒewɔwɔ ta.
Let him turn back the mischief upon mine adversaries, In thy faithfulness, destroy them!
6 Masa lɔlɔ̃nuvɔsa na wò, O! Yehowa, makafu wò ŋkɔ, elabena enyo.
With a freewill-offering, will I sacrifice unto thee, I will praise thy Name, O Yahweh, for it is good;
7 Eɖem tso nye xaxawo katã me, eye nye ŋkuwo kpɔ ale si woɖu nye futɔwo dzii.
For, out of all distress, hath he rescued me, —And, upon my foes, hath, mine own eye, looked.
