< Psalmowo 53 >
1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe nublanuigbe me. Bometsila gblɔ le eƒe dzi me be, “Mawu aɖeke meli o.” Wonye ame baɖawo, woƒe mɔwo hã nye nu tovowo, ame aɖeke meli si wɔa nu nyui o.
To the Chief Musician. On Mahalath. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. The impious hath said in his heart, There is no God! They have acted corruptly, They have wrought abominable perversity, There is none that doeth good: —
2 Mawu lé ŋku ɖe amegbetɔviwo ŋu tso dziƒo, ne wòakpɔe ɖa be ame aɖe se nu gɔme alo di Mawu hã.
God, out of the heavens, looked down upon the sons of men, —To see whether there was one that showed wisdom, Enquiring after God.
3 Ke ame sia ame trɔ megbe dee, wo katã tim wɔ nu tovo; ame ɖeka hɔ̃ɔ hã meli si wɔa nu nyui o, ɖeka pɛ hã meli o.
They all, have turned back, together have they become tainted, —There is none that doeth good, Not so much as, one!
4 Ɖe ame vɔ̃ɖiwo, ame siwo vuvu nye dukɔ abe ale si woɖua aboloe ene, eye womeyɔa Mawu o la ava srɔ̃ nu gbe aɖe gbea?
Are the workers of iniquity, without knowledge? Devouring my people, [as] they devour food? Upon God, have they not called.
5 Woawoe ma ŋɔdzi lé, evɔ ŋɔdzinu aɖeke meli hafi o. Mawu gbã ƒu ɖe lãme na ame siwo tso ɖe mia ŋu la; ena ŋukpe lé wo, elabena Mawu gbe wo.
There have they been in great dread where no dread was, Because, God, hath scattered the bones of thy besieger, —Thou hast put [him] to shame, Because, God, had, rejected, them.
6 O! Xɔname neva tso Zion na Israel! Ne Mawu gaɖo eƒe dukɔ ƒe nunyonamewo te la, Yakob netso aseye, eye Israel nekpɔ dzidzɔ!
Oh that, out of Zion, were granted the salvations of Israel! When God bringeth back the captives of his people, Jacob, shall exult, Israel, shall be glad.
