< Psalmowo 51 >

1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Ekpa ha sia esime wòwɔ ahasi kple Batseba, eye Nyagblɔɖila Natan va egbɔ. O! Mawu, kpɔ nye nublanui le wò lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ta. Le wò dɔmenyo sɔgbɔ la nu, tutu nye dzidadawo ɖa.
For the music director. A psalm of David. When Nathan the prophet came to him after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba. God, please be gracious to me, because of your trustworthy love, because of your infinite kindness please wipe away my sins.
2 Klɔ nye vodadawo katã ɖa, eye nàle tsi nam ŋunye nakɔ tso nye nu vɔ̃wo me.
Wash away all my guilt; cleanse me from my sin.
3 Elabena menya nye dzidadawo, eye nye nu vɔ̃wo le nye ŋkume ɖaa.
I admit my rebellion; my sin always stares me in my face.
4 Ŋuwò, wò ko ŋu mewɔ nu vɔ̃ ɖo, eye nu si nye vɔ̃ le wò ŋkume la mewɔ, eya ta ne èle nu ƒom la, woaɖee afia be tɔwò dzɔ, eye ne ètso afia la, woagblɔ be ele eteƒe.
I have sinned against you, you alone. I have done evil in your sight. So you are right in what you say, and fair when you judge.
5 Vavã, wodzim ɖe nu vɔ̃ me, eye nu vɔ̃ me danye fɔ nye fu ɖo.
It's true that I was born guilty—sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Vavã, nyateƒe si tso dzi me ke la nèdina; èfia nunyam le ememe ke.
But you want truth on the inside; you teach me wisdom deep within.
7 Klɔ ŋutinye kple kakle, eye ŋunye aɖi; le tsi nam, eye mafu tititi wu aklala.
Purify me with hyssop so I can be clean; wash me so I can be whiter than snow.
8 Na mase dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ kple aseyetsotso, ne nye ƒu siwo nèŋe la nakpɔ dzidzɔ.
Please let me hear joy and happiness again; let the bones you have crushed be glad once more.
9 Ɣla wò mo ɖe nye nu vɔ̃wo, eye nàtutu nye vodadawo katã ɖa.
Turn your face away from looking at my sins; please wipe away my guilt.
10 O! Mawu, wɔ dzi dzadzɛ aɖe nam, eye nàgbugbɔ gbɔgbɔ si li ke la de menye.
Create a pure mind in me, God, and make me trustworthy again.
11 Mègatsɔm ƒu gbe le wò ŋkume, alo nàxɔ wò Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la le asinye o.
Don't expel me from your presence; don't take away your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Gbugbɔ ɖeɖekpɔkpɔ ƒe dzidzɔ de menye, eye nàna gbɔgbɔ si le klalo la be wòalém ɖe asi.
Give me back the happiness of your salvation; help me to have a willing nature.
13 Ekema mafia wò mɔwo dzidalawo, eye nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo atrɔ ava gbɔwò.
Then I will teach your ways to rebellious people, and these sinners will come back to you.
14 O! Mawu, ɖem tso ʋukɔkɔɖi ƒe nu vɔ̃ me, wò Mawu si ɖem, eye nye aɖe adzi ha le wò dzɔdzɔenyenye ŋu.
God, please forgive me for the blood I have shed, God of my salvation, and I will sing for joy of your goodness.
15 O! Aƒetɔ, ke nye nuyiwo, eye nye nu aɖe gbeƒã wò kafukafu.
Open my lips so I can speak your praise!
16 Mèdia vɔsa o, anye ne metsɔe na wò; numevɔsa hã medoa dzidzɔ na wò o.
For sacrifices don't make you happy, or I would bring one; burnt offerings aren't what pleases you.
17 Vɔsa siwo nye Mawu tɔe nye gbɔgbɔ si wogbã. O! Mawu, màdo vlo dzi si gbã hetugu la o.
The “sacrifices” that God wants are on the inside—the brokenness of repentance. God won't reject a broken and sorrowful heart.
18 Na nu nadze edzi na Zion le wò didi nyui la nu, eye nàɖo Yerusalem ƒe gliwo te.
Be kind to Zion, help the city; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Ekema dzɔdzɔenyenyevɔsawo kple numevɔsa blibowo ava gbɔwò, ado dzidzɔ na wò, eye woatsɔ nyitsuwo asa vɔe le wò vɔsamlekpui dzi.
Then you will be pleased with sacrifices given in the right spirit, for all kinds of burnt offerings, and bulls sacrificed on your altar once more.
