< Psalmowo 45 >

For the Chief Musician. Set to “The Lilies.” A contemplation by the sons of Korah. A wedding song. My heart overflows with a noble theme. I recite my verses for the king. My tongue is like the pen of a skilful writer.
2 Èdze ɖeka wu ŋutsuwo katã, wotsɔ amenuveve si ami na wò nuyi, elabena Mawu yra wò tegbee.
You are the most excellent of the sons of men. Grace has anointed your lips, therefore God has blessed you forever.
3 O! Kalẽtɔ, tsɔ wò yi ta ɖe ali, eye nàtsɔ wò atsyɔ̃ kple gãnyenye ata.
Strap your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendour and your majesty.

In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds.
5 Na wò aŋutrɔ ɖaɖɛwo naŋɔ fia la ƒe futɔwo ƒe dzi, eye na dukɔwo nadze anyi ɖe wò afɔ nu.
Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king’s enemies.
6 O! Mawu, wò fiazikpui ali ke tso mavɔ me yi ɖe mavɔ me, wò fiaɖuƒe la ƒe tsiamiti anye nuteƒewɔwɔ ƒe atikplɔ.
Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of your kingdom.
7 Èlɔ̃ dzɔdzɔenyenye, eye nètsri nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔ; eya ta Mawu, wò Mawu la ɖo wò nèkɔ gbɔ fia bubuwo ta to dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ ƒe amisisi na wò me.
You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.
8 Kotoklobo, lifi kple atike ʋeʋĩ le ya ɖem le wò awuwo me. Kasaŋkuwo na nèle aseye tsom le wò nyiɖufiasawo me.
All your garments smell like myrrh, aloes, and cassia. Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made you glad.
9 Fiavinyɔnuwo le wò nyɔnu bubumewo dome, eye fiasrɔ̃ si do Ofir Sikanuwo la nɔ wò nuɖusime.
Kings’ daughters are amongst your honourable women. At your right hand the queen stands in gold of Ophir.
10 O! Vinyɔnu, ɖo to, nàbu eŋu, eye nàƒu to anyi. Ŋlɔ wò dukɔ kple fofowò ƒe aƒe la be.
Listen, daughter, consider, and turn your ear. Forget your own people, and also your father’s house.
11 Wò tugbedzedze wɔ dɔ ɖe fia la dzi ŋutɔ, eya ta de bubu eŋu, elabena eyae nye wò aƒetɔ.
So the king will desire your beauty, honour him, for he is your lord.
12 Tiro vinyɔnu atsɔ nunana vɛ, eye ŋutsu kesinɔtɔwo ava bia amenuveve tso gbɔwò.
The daughter of Tyre comes with a gift. The rich amongst the people entreat your favour.
13 Fiavinyɔnu la nye keklẽ sɔŋ le eƒe xɔ me; eye wotsɔ sika lé ɖe eƒe awu legbe ƒe teƒeteƒewo keŋ.
The princess inside is all glorious. Her clothing is interwoven with gold.

I will make your name to be remembered in all generations. Therefore the peoples shall give you thanks forever and ever.
