< Psalmowo 40 >
1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Mele mɔ kpɔm na Yehowa le dzigbɔɖi blibo me; etrɔ ɖe ŋutinye, eye wòse nye ɣlidodo.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. I waited patiently for the LORD. He turned to me, and heard my cry.
2 Ehem do goe tso ʋe dziŋɔ me, eye wòɖem tso ba finyafinya me, hetsɔ nye afɔ ɖo agakpe dzi, eye wòna meli ke ɖe afi si metɔ ɖo.
He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 Etsɔ ha yeye de nunye si nye kafukafuha na míaƒe Mawu la. Ame geɖewo akpɔe, woavɔ̃e, eye woaɖo dzi ɖe Yehowa ŋu.
He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4 Woayra ame si ɖoa dzi ɖe Yehowa ŋu, ame si mekpɔa dadalawo ƒe asinu, alo kplɔa ame siwo dze alakpalegbawo yome o.
Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, and doesn’t respect the proud, nor such as turn away to lies.
Many, LORD, my God, are the wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are towards us. They can’t be declared back to you. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be counted.
6 Mèdi vɔsa kple nunana, alo bia numevɔsa kple akpedavɔsa o, ke boŋ èʋu nye towo be mase wò gbe,
Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire. You have opened my ears. You have not required burnt offering and sin offering.
7 eya ta meɖo ŋu be, “Nyee nye si meva; agbalẽ mee woŋlɔe ɖo tso ŋutinye.
Then I said, “Behold, I have come. It is written about me in the book in the scroll.
8 Medi be mawɔ wò lɔlɔ̃nu, O! Nye Mawu, woŋlɔ wò se la ɖe nye dzi me.”
I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.”
9 O! Yehowa, meɖe gbeƒã wò dzɔdzɔenyenye le ameha gã la dome, eye abe ale si nènya ene la, nyememia nye nu o.
I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Behold, I will not seal my lips, LORD, you know.
10 Nyemeɣla wò dzɔdzɔenyenye ɖe nye dzi me o, ke boŋ meƒo nu le wò nuteƒewɔwɔ kple ɖeɖe ŋuti. Nyemeɣla wò lɔlɔ̃ kple wò nyateƒe la ɖe ameha gã la o.
I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly.
11 O! Yehowa, mègate wo nublanuikpɔkpɔ o, ke boŋ na be wò lɔlɔ̃ kple wò nyateƒe nakpɔ tanye ɖaa,
Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, LORD. Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
12 elabena fukpekpe siwo mele xexlẽ o la ɖe to ɖem, nye nu vɔ̃wo wu tsɔtsɔ nam eye nyemegate ŋu le nu kpɔm o. Wosɔ gbɔ wu nye taɖa, eye dzi ɖe le ƒonye.
For innumerable evils have surrounded me. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head. My heart has failed me.
13 O! Yehowa, nedze ŋuwò be nàɖem; O! Yehowa, va kaba nàɖem.
Be pleased, LORD, to deliver me. Hurry to help me, LORD.
14 Ŋu nekpe ame siwo katã le nye agbe dim ne woaɖe ɖa la; woƒe mo netsi dãa, eye ame siwo katã le nye gbegblẽ dim la negbugbɔ ɖe megbe kple ŋukpe.
Let them be disappointed and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonour who delight in my hurt.
15 Ame siwo le gbɔgblɔm ɖe ŋunye be, “Ehɛ̃! Ehɛ̃!” la ƒe ŋukpe newɔ moya na wo.
Let them be desolate by reason of their shame that tell me, “Aha! Aha!”
16 Ke ame siwo katã dia wò la akpɔ dzidzɔ, eye woatso aseye akpɔ dzidzɔ le mewò. Ame siwo lɔ̃a wò ɖeɖe la negblɔ ɖaa be, “Mido Yehowa ɖe dzi!”
Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let such as love your salvation say continually, “Let the LORD be exalted!”
17 Ke nye la, meda ahe, eye hiã le tu yem, O! Aƒetɔ, ɖo ŋku dzinye. O! Nye Mawu, wòe nye nye kpeɖeŋutɔ kple nye xɔname, mègahe ɖe megbe o.
But I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Don’t delay, my God.
