< Psalmowo 3 >

1 David ƒe ha, esi wòsi le via Absalom nu. O, Yehowa, aleke nye futɔwo sɔ gbɔ ale! Aleke ame geɖewo tso ɖe ŋunye ale!
A Psalm of David. When he fled from the face of his son, Absalom. Lord, why have those who trouble me been multiplied? Many rise up against me.
2 Ame geɖewo le gbɔgblɔm tso ŋutinye be, “Mawu maɖee akpɔ o.” (Sela)
Many say to my soul, “There is no salvation for him in his God.” (Pause)
3 O, Yehowa, ke wò la, ènye akpoxɔnu ƒo xlãm; ètsɔ ŋutikɔkɔe kɔ ɖe dzinye, eye nèkɔ nye ta dzi.
But you, Lord, are my supporter, my glory, and the one who raises up my head.
4 Yehowae medo ɣli na sesĩe, eye wòtɔ nam tso eƒe to kɔkɔe la dzi. (Sela)
I have cried out to the Lord with my voice, and he has heard me from his holy mountain. (Pause)
5 Memlɔ anyi hedɔ alɔ̃; meganyɔ, elabena Yehowae kpɔ tanye.
I have slept, and I have been stupefied. But I awakened because the Lord has taken me up.
6 Nyemavɔ̃ na ame akpe nane siwo ho, ɖe to ɖem godoo la o.
I will not fear the thousands of people surrounding me. Rise up, Lord. Save me, my God.
7 Tso, O, Yehowa! Ɖem, O, nye Mawu! Ƒo tome na nye futɔwo katã; eye nàŋe aɖu na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo.
For you have struck all those who oppose me without cause. You have broken the teeth of sinners.
8 Yehowa gbɔe ɖeɖe tsona. Na be wò yayra nanɔ wò amewo dzi. (Sela)
Salvation is of the Lord, and your blessing is upon your people. (Pause)
