1 David ƒe ha. Yehowa, ame kae dze anɔ wò kɔkɔeƒe la? Ame kae anɔ wò togbɛ kɔkɔe la dzi?
A psalm of David. Lord, who can be guest in your tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?
2 Ame si fɔɖiɖi mele eƒe zɔzɔme ŋu o, eye wòwɔa nu dzɔdzɔe lae. Ame si toa nyateƒe tso eƒe dzi me ke
The person whose walk is blameless, whose conduct is right, whose words are true and sincere;
3 eye ameŋugbegblẽ mele aɖe dzi nɛ o, ame si mewɔa vɔ̃ ɖe ehavi ŋu o, eye meƒoa ɖi nɔvia amegbetɔ o,
on whose tongue there sits no slander, who will not harm a friend,
4 ame si ame baɖa ƒe nu menyoa eŋu o, ke boŋ edea bubu ame siwo vɔ̃a Yehowa la ŋuti, ame si kaa atam si hea vevesese vanɛ, gake megbea edziwɔwɔ o,
nor cruelly insult a neighbour, who regards with contempt those rejected by God; but honours those who obey the Lord, who keeps an oath, whatever the cost,
5 ame si medoa ga xɔa deme ɖe edzi o, eye mexɔa zãnu ɖe ame maɖifɔ ŋuti o. Ame si wɔa nu siawo la, naneke maʋãe akpɔ gbeɖegbeɖe o.
whose money is lent without interest, and never takes a bribe to hurt the innocent. The person who does these things will always stand firm.
