< Psalmowo 142 >
1 David ƒe nufiameha esi wònɔ agado me. Gbedodoɖa. Medo ɣli na Yehowa sesĩe, eye mekɔ nye gbe dzi na Yehowa be wòakpɔ nye nublanui.
[A contemplation by David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer.] I cry with my voice to Jehovah. With my voice, I ask Jehovah for mercy.
2 Metrɔ nye nuxaxawo kɔ ɖe eŋkume, eye metrɔ nye vevesesewo kɔ ɖe eya amea gbɔ.
I pour out my complaint before him. I tell him my troubles.
3 Ne nu ti kɔ na nye gbɔgbɔ le menye la, wò koe nya nye mɔ. Ŋutsuwo tre mɔ ɖe mɔ si metona la dzi nam.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, you knew my path. In the way in which I walk, they have hidden a snare for me.
4 Trɔ ɖe nye ɖusime ne nàkpɔ; ame aɖeke metsɔ ɖeke le eme nam o. Bebeƒe aɖeke meli nam o, eye ame aɖeke metsɔ ɖeke le eme nam o.
Look on my right, and see; for there is no one who is concerned for me. Refuge has fled from me. No one cares for my soul.
5 O! Yehowa, wòe mele ɣli dom na. Megblɔ be, “Wòe nye nye sitsoƒe, kple nye gome le agbagbeawo ƒe anyigba dzi.”
I cried to you, Jehovah. I said, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."
6 Ɖo to nye ɣlidodo, elabena meɖo xaxa me ŋutɔ. Ɖem tso ame siwo le yonyeme tim la ƒe asi me, elabena wosesẽ nam akpa.
Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than me.
7 Ɖem tso nye gaxɔ me, be makafu wò ŋkɔ. Ekema ame dzɔdzɔewo aɖe to ɖem, le wò nyui si nèwɔ nam la ta.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.
