< Psalmowo 139 >
1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. O! Yehowa, èdzro menye, eye nènyam.
To the Chief Musician, David’s. A Melody. O Yahweh! thou hast searched me, and observed:
2 Ènya nye anyinɔnɔ kple nye tsitretsitsi, eye nènya nye susuwo tso adzɔge ke.
Thou, hast observed my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou hast given heed to my desire, from afar:
3 Ènya nye godoɣi kple nye anyimlɔɣi, ale nènya nye mɔwo katã nyuie.
My path and my couch, hast thou examined, and, all my ways, thou well knowest.
4 O! Yehowa, hafi nya aɖe nava nye aɖe dzi la, ènya nya la katã xoxo.
Surely there hath not been a word on my tongue, [but] behold! O Yahweh, thou hast observed it on every side.
5 Ètsɔm ɖe tome, le megbe kple ŋgɔ siaa, eye nèɖo wò asi dzinye.
Behind and before, hast thou shut me in, and hast laid upon me thy hand: —
6 Nunya sia wɔ nuku nam akpa, nyemate ŋu aɖo afi ma o, elabena ekɔkɔ nam akpa.
Knowledge, too wonderful, for me! high, I cannot attain to it!
7 Afi ka madzo le wò Gbɔgbɔ la gbɔ ayi? Afi ka masi atso wò ŋkume ayi?
Whither can I go from thy spirit? or whither, from thy face, can I flee?
8 Ne meyi dziƒo la, èle afi ma, ne meɖo nye mlɔƒe ɖe gogloƒewo hã la, èle afi ma. (Sheol )
If I ascend the heavens, there, thou art! If I spread out hades as my couch, behold thee! (Sheol )
9 Ne medzo yi yame le fɔŋli ƒe aʋalawo dzi, ne meyi ɖanɔ atsiaƒu ƒe mlɔenu ke hã la,
If I mount the wings of the dawn, settle down in the region beyond the sea,
10 wò asi akplɔm, eye wò nuɖusi além ɖe asi sesĩe.
Even there, thy hand shall lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 Ne megblɔ be, “Vavã, viviti la ana maɣla, eye kekeli azu zã aƒo xlãm” la,
If I say, Surely, darkness, shall cover me! then, night, is light about me.
12 viviti la gɔ̃ hã mado blukɔ na wò o, zã aklẽ na wò abe ŋkeke ene, elabena viviti le na wò abe kekeli ene.
Even darkness, will not conceal from thee, —but, night, like day, will shine, So is the darkness, as the light!
13 Elabena wòe wɔ nye ememe ke; eye nèlém ƒo ƒu ɖe danye ƒe dɔ me.
For, thou, didst possess thyself of my reins, thou didst weave me together in the womb of my mother.
14 Mekafu wò, elabena èwɔm ŋɔdzitɔe kple nukutɔe. Wò dɔwɔwɔwo nye nukunu, menya esia nyuie.
I thank thee, in that fearfully was my being distinguished, Wonderful are thy works, and, mine own soul, is observing [them] intently!
15 Nye ameti blibo la, mele ɣaɣla ɖe wò o, esi nèwɔm le ɣaɣlaƒe. Esi wolɔ̃m ɖe wo nɔewo me le anyigba ƒe gogloƒe la,
My substance was not hid from thee, —when I was made in secret, when I was skilfully figured in the lower parts of the earth.
16 wò ŋkuwo kpɔ ale si menye ʋukɔe. Ŋkeke siwo katã woɖo nam la, woŋlɔ wo ɖe wò agbalẽ me hafi ŋkeke gbãtɔ dze egɔme.
Mine unfinished substance, thine eyes beheld, and, in thy book, all the parts thereof were written, —the days they should be fashioned! while yet there was not one among them.
17 O! Mawu, wò susuwo xɔ asi nam ŋutɔ! Wò susuwo sɔ gbɔ loo!
To me, then, how precious have thy desires become, O GOD! How numerous, the heads of them!
18 Ne mebe maxlẽ wo la, woasɔ gbɔ wu ke. Ne menyɔ tso alɔ̃ me la, megale gbɔwò ko.
I would recount them! Beyond the sands, they multiply, I rouse myself—and am still with thee.
19 O! Mawu, negbe ɖe nàtsrɔ̃ ame vɔ̃ɖiwo hafi! Mite ɖa le gbɔnye, mi hlɔ̃dolawo!
Wilt thou not, O GOD, slay the lawless one? Therefore, ye men of bloodshed, depart from me!
20 Woƒoa nu tso ŋutiwò kple susu baɖa, wò futɔwo wɔa wò ŋkɔ ŋu dɔ yakayaka.
For they speak of thee wickedly, Thy foes lift up [their hand] unto falsehood.
21 O! Yehowa, ɖe nyemelé fu ame siwo lé fu wò, eye menyɔ ŋu ame siwo tso ɖe ŋuwò oa?
Do I not hate, them who hate thee, O Yahweh? And loathe, them who rise up against thee?
22 Fuléle koe le asinye na wo, eye mebu wo nye ketɔwoe.
With completeness of hatred, I hate them, As enemies, have they become to me.
23 Dzro menye, o Mawu, eye nànya nye dzi; dom kpɔ, eye nànya nye susu si tsi dzodzodzoe.
Search me, O GOD, and observe my heart, Try me, and observe my cares;
24 Kpɔe ɖa be mɔtatra aɖe le menye hã, eye nàkplɔm to mɔ mavɔtɔ la dzi.
And see if there be any idol-way in me, and lead me in a way age-abiding.
