< Psalmowo 138 >
1 David ƒe ha. O! Yehowa, makafu wò kple nye dzi blibo; madzi wò kafukafuha le mawuwo ŋkume.
David’s. I will give thee thanks with all my heart, Before the messengers of God, will I praise thee in song:
2 Made ta agu do ɖe wò gbedoxɔ kɔkɔe la gbɔ, eye makafu wò ŋkɔ, le wò lɔlɔ̃ kple nuteƒewɔwɔ ta, elabena èkɔ, wò ŋkɔ kple wò nya gbɔ nu sia nu ta sãsãsã.
I will bow down towards thy holy temple, and thank thy Name, for thy lovingkindness and for thy faithfulness, For thou hast magnified, above all thy Name, thy word!
3 Ètɔ nam esi meyɔ wò, eye nède dzi ƒo nam, hedo ŋusẽ nye dzi.
In the day I cried unto thee, then didst thou answer me, and didst excite me, in my soul, mightily.
4 O! Yehowa, anyigbadzifiawo katã akafu wò, ne wose wò numenya.
All the kings of the earth, will thank thee, O Yahweh, when they have heard the sayings of thy mouth;
5 Na woadzi ha le Yehowa ƒe mɔwo ŋu, elabena Yehowa ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe lolo.
And they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, That great is the glory of Yahweh:
6 Togbɔ be Yehowa le dzi me ke hã la, ekpɔa ame dahewo gbɔ, ke edzea si dadala tso adzɔge.
Though lofty is Yahweh, yet, the lowly, he regardeth, but, the haughty—afar off, doth he acknowledge.
7 Togbɔ be mele zɔzɔm le xaxa me hã la, èkpɔ nye agbe ta, eye nèkɔ wò asi dzi do ɖe nye futɔwo ƒe dɔmedzoe ŋu, hetsɔ wò nuɖusi xɔ nam.
Though I walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt give me life, —Because of the anger of my foes, thou wilt thrust forth thy hand, and thy right hand, will save me:
8 Yehowa ana eƒe ta me si wòɖo ɖe ŋunye la nava eme. O! Yehowa, wò lɔlɔ̃ li ɖaa, mègagblẽ wò asinudɔwɔwɔwo ɖi o.
Yahweh, will carry through my cause, —O Yahweh! thy lovingkindness, is age-abiding, The works of thine own hands, do not thou desert.
