< Psalmowo 124 >

1 David ƒe mɔzɔha. Ne menye Yehowae le mía dzi o la, Israel negblɔ be,
A Canticle in steps. If the Lord had not been with us, let Israel now say it:
2 “Ɖe menye Yehowae le mía dzi o la, esi amegbetɔwo tso ɖe mía ŋu,
if the Lord had not been with us, when men rose up against us,
3 eye woƒe dɔmedzoe bi ɖe mía ŋu la, anye ne womi mí agbagbee,
perhaps they would have swallowed us alive. When their fury was enraged against us,
4 anye ne tsi ɖe mí hesi to mía dzi,
perhaps the waters would have engulfed us.
5 anye ne tɔ dzeagbowo kplɔ mí dzoe.”
Our soul has passed through a torrent. Perhaps, our soul had even passed through intolerable water.
6 Woakafu Yehowa, ame si meɖe mɔ be woavuvu mí kple woƒe aɖu o.
Blessed is the Lord, who has not given us into the harm of their teeth.
7 Míesi abe xevi si do le mɔtrela ƒe mɔka me la ene; mɔka la tso, eye míesi dzo.
Our soul has been snatched away like a sparrow from the snare of the hunters. The snare has been broken, and we have been freed.
8 Míaƒe xɔname le Yehowa, dziƒo kple anyigba Wɔla la gbɔ.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
