< Psalmowo 122 >

1 David ƒe mɔzɔha. Mekpɔ dzidzɔ kple ame siwo gblɔ nam be, “Mina míayi Yehowa ƒe aƒe me.”
A Canticle in steps. I rejoiced in the things that were said to me: “We shall go into the house of the Lord.”
2 O! Yerusalem, míaƒe afɔwo le wò agbowo nu.
Our feet were standing in your courts, O Jerusalem.
3 Wotso Yerusalem, eye nèle abe du si tsyia ɖe wo nɔewo nu ene.
Jerusalem has been built as a city, whose participation is unto itself.
4 Afi ma to vovovoawo yina, Yehowa ƒe toawo, be woakafu Yehowa, le ɖoɖo si wòna Israel nu.
For to that place, the tribes ascended, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to confess to the name of the Lord.
5 Afi ma woɖo ʋɔnudrɔ̃zikpuiwo ɖo, David ƒe aƒe la ƒe fiazikpuiwo.
For in that place, seats have sat down in judgment, seats above the house of David.
6 Mido gbe ɖa, abia ŋutifafa na Yerusalem be, “Ame siwo lɔ̃ wò la nenɔ dedie.
Petition for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem, and for abundance for those who love you.
7 Ŋutifafa nenɔ wò gliwo me kple dedinɔnɔ le wò fiasãwo me.”
Let peace be in your virtue, and abundance in your towers.
8 Le nɔvinye ŋutsuwo kple xɔ̃nyewo ta, magblɔ be, “Ŋutifafa nenɔ mewò.”
For the sake of my brothers and my neighbors, I spoke peace about you.
9 Le Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu la ƒe aƒe la ta, madi dzidzedze na wò.
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I sought good things for you.
