< Psalmowo 121 >
1 Mɔzɔha. Mewu mo dzi ɖe togbɛawo ŋu, afi ka nye xɔname atso ava?
A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. I look to the hills—but is that where my help comes from?
2 Nye xɔname atso Yehowa, ame si wɔ dziƒo kple anyigba la gbɔ.
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 Mana wò afɔ naɖiɖi o, eya ame si dzɔa ŋuwò la madɔ akɔlɔ̃e o.
He will not let you fall; he who watches over you won't fall asleep.
4 Vavã, eya ame si dzɔa Israel ŋu la, madɔ akɔlɔ̃e loo, alo adɔ alɔ̃ o.
In fact he who watches over you doesn't take naps or fall asleep.
5 Yehowae nye tawòkpɔla, Yehowae nye wò vɔvɔli le wò nuɖusime
The Lord keeps watch over you; the Lord protects you; he stands right beside you.
6 eya ta ɣe maɖu wò le ŋkeke me loo, alo ɣleti le zã me o.
The sun won't hurt you during the day, nor the moon at night.
7 Yehowa aɖe wò le vɔ̃wo katã me, eye wòakpɔ wò agbe ta.
The Lord will protect you from all kinds of evil; he will keep you safe and sound.
8 Yehowa adzɔ wò vava kple wò dzodzo ŋuti, fifia yi ɖase mavɔmavɔ me.
The Lord will look after you when you leave, and when you return, now and forever.
