2 O! Yehowa, ɖem, tso aʋatsonuyiwo kple alakpaɖewo ƒe asi me.
O Lord, free my soul from lips of iniquity and from the deceitful tongue.
3 O! Alakpaɖe, nu ka wòawɔ na wò, eye nu ka wòatsɔ akpee na wò?

5 Baba nam be mele Mesek, eye mele Kedar ƒe agbadɔwo me!
Woe to me, for my sojourning has been prolonged. I have lived with the inhabitants of Kedar.
6 Menɔ ame siwo lé fu ŋutifafa la dome wòdidi fũu akpa.
My soul has long been a sojourner.
7 Ŋutifafamee menye, gake ne meƒo nu la, woawo kpea aʋa.
With those who hated peace, I was peaceful. When I spoke to them, they fought against me without cause.
