< Psalmowo 109 >
1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. O! Mawu, wò ame si mekafu, mègazi ɖoɖoe o,
God of my tehilah ·praise song·, don’t remain silent,
2 elabena ame vɔ̃ɖiwo kple alakpatɔwo, ke woƒe nuwo ɖe ŋutinye, eye wogblɔ nya ɖe ŋunye kple alakpaɖewo.
for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
3 Wotsɔ fulényawo ƒo xlãm; wotso ɖe ŋunye nanekemawɔmawɔe.
They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4 Wotsɔ fɔbubu nam ɖe nye lɔlɔ̃ teƒe, ke nye la, ame si doa gbe ɖa vevie lae menye.
Making teshuvah ·complete return· for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
5 Wotsɔ vɔ̃ ɖo nyui teƒe nam, eye wotsɔ fuléle ɖo nye lɔlɔ̃ teƒe.
They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6 Tia ame vɔ̃ɖi aɖe wòatso ɖe eŋu; eye na amenutsola natsi tsitre ɖe eƒe nuɖusime.
Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
7 Ne wodrɔ̃ ʋɔnui la, woneɖe agɔdzedze nɛ, eye eƒe gbedodoɖawo nebu fɔe.
When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
8 Eƒe ŋkekewo nenɔ ʋɛ eye ame bubu naxɔ eƒe amekplɔdɔ awɔ.
Let his days be few. Let another take his office.
9 Viawo nezu tsyɔ̃eviwo, eye srɔ̃a nezu ahosi.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 Viawo nenɔ tsaglãla tsam, anɔ nu biam; wonenya wo do goe le woƒe aƒe gbagbãwo me.
Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.
11 Fetɔ aɖe nexɔ eƒe nunɔmesiwo katã, eye amedzrowo neha nu siwo wòwɔ dɔ kpɔ.
Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
12 Ame aɖeke megave enu loo, alo akpɔ nublanui na eƒe tsyɔ̃eviwo o.
Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his orphan children.
13 Eƒe dzidzimeviwo netsrɔ̃, eye woaɖe woƒe ŋkɔwo ɖa le dzidzime si gbɔna la me.
Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14 Woneɖo ŋku fofoawo ƒe vodadawo dzi le Yehowa ŋkume, eye womegatutu dadaa ƒe nu vɔ̃ ɖa akpɔ gbeɖe o.
Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Adonai. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15 Woƒe nu vɔ̃wo nenɔ Yehowa ŋkume ɖaa, ale be wòaɖe woƒe ŋkɔ ɖa le anyigba dzi,
Let them be before Adonai continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;
16 elabena mebu dɔmenyowɔwɔ ŋuti kpɔ o, ke boŋ eƒo hiãtɔ, ame dahe kple ame si ƒe dzi gbã la ƒu anyi woku.
because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.
17 Elɔ̃a ɖiŋudodo, eya ta ɖiŋudodo neva eya ŋutɔ ƒe ta dzi; amewo yayra medoa dzidzɔ nɛ o, eya ta yayra nete ɖa xaa tso eya ŋutɔ gbɔ.
Yes, he 'ahav ·affectionately loved· cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
18 Etsɔ ɖiŋudodo do abe awu ene, wòge ɖe eƒe lãme abe tsi ene, eye wòɖo eƒe ƒuwo me abe ami ene,
He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.
19 eya ta netae abe avɔ ene, eye nebla ali dzi nɛ abe alidziblaka ene tegbetegbe.
Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.
20 Esia nenye fe si Yehowa axe na nunyetsolawo kple ame siwo gblɔa nya vɔ̃ ɖe ŋutinye.
This is the reward of my adversaries from Adonai, of those who speak evil against my soul.
21 Ke wò la, o Aƒetɔ Yehowa, wɔ nyui nam le wò ŋkɔ la ta, ɖem le wò lɔlɔ̃ si wɔa nyui la ta,
But deal with me, Adonai the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your cheshed ·loving-kindness· is good, deliver me;
22 elabena hiãtɔ kple ame dahe menye, eye nye dzi xɔ abi le menye.
for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.
23 Nunye yi abe vɔvɔli le fiẽ me ene eye woʋuʋum abe ʋetsuvi ene.
I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.
24 Le nutsitsidɔ ta la, nye klowo zu belie, eye meɖi ku glaglaglã.
My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.
25 Mezu alɔmeɖenu na nunyetsolawo, eye woʋuʋua ta ne wokpɔm.
I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
26 O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, kpe ɖe ŋunye, ɖem le wò lɔlɔ̃ la ta.
Help me, Adonai, my God. Save me according to your cheshed ·loving-kindness·;
27 O! Yehowa, wonenya be to wò asi dzie nèwɔ esia.
that they may know that this is your hand; that you, Adonai, have done it.
28 Woaƒo fi ade ame, ke wò la àyra ame, ne wotso ɖe ŋunye la, ŋu akpe wo, ke wò dɔla ya atso aseye.
They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.
29 Nunyetsolawo ado vlododo abe awu ene, eye wòata ŋukpe abe avɔ ene.
Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
30 Matsɔ nye nu ado Yehowa ɖe dzi, eye le ameha gã la dome, makafui,
I will give great thanks to Adonai with my mouth. Yes, I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to him among the multitude.
31 elabena etsi tsitre ɖe hiãtɔ la ƒe nuɖusime, be yeaɖe eƒe agbe tso ame siwo bu fɔ̃e la ƒe asi me.
For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
