< Psalmowo 107 >
1 Mida akpe na Yehowa, elabena enyo, eye eƒe lɔlɔ̃ li ɖaa.
Thank the Lord, for he is good! His trustworthy love continues forever!
2 Ame siwo Yehowa ɖe la negblɔ esia; ame siwo wòɖe tso futɔ la ƒe asi me,
Let those the Lord has saved say that they are saved; those he has rescued from the power of the enemy.
3 ame siwo nu wòƒo ƒui tso anyigbawo dzi, tso ɣedzeƒe kple ɣetoɖoƒe, anyiehe kple dziehe.
He has gathered them together from distant lands, from the east and the west, the north and the south.
4 Ame aɖewo tsa tsaglãla le gbedzi kple gbedadaƒo, eye womekpɔ mɔ si woato ayi du aɖe si me woanɔ la o.
They wandered in the desert wilderness, unable to find a way to a city where they could live.
5 Dɔ kple tsikɔ wu wo, eye nu te woƒe luʋɔ ŋu le wo me.
Hungry and thirsty, they became very discouraged.
6 Tete wodo ɣli yɔ Yehowa le woƒe xaxa la me, eye wòɖe wo le woƒe hiã la me.
Then they cried out to the Lord to help them in their troubles, and he saved them from their suffering.
7 Ekplɔ wo tẽe yi ɖe du aɖe si me woanɔ.
He led them along a straight way to a city where they could live.
8 Woneda akpe na Yehowa le eƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ta kple eƒe nukudɔ siwo wòwɔna na amewo la ta.
Let them praise the Lord for his trustworthy love, and for all the wonderful things he does for people.
9 Elabena etsɔa nu nyuiwo ɖia ƒoe na ame siwo dɔ kple tsikɔ le wuwum.
For he gives drink to those who are thirsty, and food to those who are hungry.
10 Ame aɖewo nɔ viviti kple blukɔ tsiɖitsiɖi me, gamenɔla siwo le fu kpem le gakɔsɔkɔsɔwo me,
Some sat in complete darkness, prisoners of misery and bound with iron chains,
11 elabena wodze aglã ɖe Mawu ƒe nyawo ŋuti, eye wodo vlo Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la ƒe aɖaŋudede.
for they had rebelled against what God had said; they had rejected the guidance of the Most High.
12 Eya ta wòtsɔ wo de asi na dɔ sesẽ wɔwɔ, womu sɔgɔsɔgɔsɔgɔ, eye ame aɖeke meli akpe ɖe wo ŋu o.
So he humbled their pride with the troubles of life; they tripped over and no one was there to stop them falling.
13 Tete wodo ɣli na Yehowa le woƒe xaxa la me, eye wòɖe wo le woƒe hiã la me.
Then they called out to the Lord for help in their troubles, and he saved them from their suffering.
14 Eɖe wo le viviti kple blukɔ tsiɖitsiɖitsiɖi la me, eye wòtso woƒe gakɔsɔkɔsɔwo.
He brought them out of complete darkness, he broke their chains to pieces.
15 Woneda akpe na Yehowa le eƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ta kple eƒe nukudɔ siwo wòwɔna na amewo la ta,
Let them praise the Lord for his trustworthy love, and for all the wonderful things he does for people.
16 elabena eŋe akɔbligbowo, eye wòlã gayibɔ ƒe gametiwo me.
For he breaks down the bronze doors, and cuts through the iron bars.
17 Wo dometɔ aɖewo zu bometsilawo to woƒe aglãdzenuwo wɔwɔ me, eye wokpe fu le woƒe dzidadawo ta.
They were stupid because they rebelled; they suffered for their sins.
18 Wonyɔ ŋu nuɖuɖu ɖe sia ɖe, eye woɖo ku ƒe agbowo nu.
They didn't want to eat; they were at death's door.
19 Wodo ɣli na Yehowa le woƒe xaxa la me, eye wòɖe wo le woƒe hiã la me.
Then they called out to the Lord for help in their troubles, and he saved them from their suffering.
20 Edɔ eƒe nya ɖa, eye wòyɔ dɔ wo, heɖe wo tso tsiẽƒe.
He gave the command and he healed them; he saved them from the grave.
21 Woneda akpe na Yehowa le eƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ta kple eƒe nukudɔ siwo wòwɔna na amewo la ta.
Let them praise the Lord for his trustworthy love, and for all the wonderful things he does for people.
22 Wonesa akpedavɔ nɛ, eye woaɖe eƒe dɔwɔwɔwo afia to aseyetsohawo me.
Let them present thank offerings and sing with joy about what he has done.
23 Ame aɖewo le meli me zɔ atsiaƒu dzi, wonye asitsalawo le tɔ gãwo dzi.
Those who set sail in ships, crossing the seas to earn their living,
24 Wokpɔ Yehowa ƒe dɔwɔwɔwo, wokpɔ eƒe nukudɔwo le atsiaƒu gɔme,
they have seen the Lord's incredible power at work—the wonderful things he did in the deepest oceans.
25 elabena eƒo nu, elɔ ahom kɔ ɖe ƒu la dzi, eye eƒe tsotsoewo dze agbo.
He only had to speak to cause a stormy wind that stirred up towering waves,
26 Woyi dziƒo boo, eye wogadze eme le gogloƒe ke, ale le woƒe agbe ƒe xaxa me, woƒe dzideƒo lolo gbana.
lifting the ships high in the air and then plunging them down. The sailors were so terrified that their courage melted away.
27 Wole mumum sɔgɔsɔgɔsɔgɔ, le nu klim abe ame siwo mu aha ene, eye womegale naneke gɔme sem o.
They staggered around, falling from side to side like drunks—all their seamanship skills were useless.
28 Tete wodo ɣli na Yehowa le woƒe xaxa la me, eye wòɖe wo le woƒe hiã la me.
Then they cried out to the Lord to help them in their troubles, and he saved them from their suffering.
29 Etsi ahom la nu wòzi ɖoɖoe abe dalĩ dom wole ene, eye ƒutsotsoeawo hã ɖo to kpoo.
He calmed the storm, the waves were quiet.
30 Wokpɔ dzidzɔ esi wòdze kɔ anyi, eye wòkplɔ wo va se ɖe esime wova ɖo afi si wodi be yewoanɔ.
The sailors were so happy when it all calmed down, and he brought them to the harbor they wanted.
31 Woneda akpe na Yehowa le eƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ta kple eƒe nukudɔ siwo wòwɔna na amewo la ta.
Let them praise the Lord for his trustworthy love, and for all the wonderful things he does for people.
32 Wonedoe ɖe dzi le dukɔ la ƒe ƒuƒoƒo me, eye woakafui le dumegãwo ƒe takpekpe me.
Let them say how wonderful he is in front of the whole congregation and the elders.
33 Etrɔ tɔsisiwo wozu gbegbe kple tsidzɔƒewo wozu kuɖiɖinyigba,
He dries up rivers and turns the land into a desert; the water springs stop flowing and the earth turns dry and dusty.
34 eye agbledeƒe zu dzeƒi le ame siwo le teƒe ma ƒe nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔ ta.
Fruitful ground becomes a salty wasteland because of the wickedness of those living there.
35 Etrɔ gbegbe wòzu tɔʋu, eye kuɖiɖinyigba zu tsidzɔƒe;
But he also turns around and makes pools of water in the desert, and makes water springs flow in a dry and dusty land.
36 afi mae wòkplɔ dɔwuitɔwo be woava nɔ, eye wotso du si me woanɔ.
He brings hungry people to live there—a place they can build their cities.
37 Woƒã nukuwo ɖe agble me, wode waingblewo, eye wotse ku geɖe hena xaxa.
They sow their fields and plant their vineyards, producing a good harvest.
38 Eyra wo, eye woƒe xexlẽme dzi ɖe edzi ŋutɔ. Nenema ke mena woƒe lãhawo dzi ɖe kpɔtɔ o.
He takes care of them, and their numbers increase dramatically—their cattle too!
39 Tete wozu ʋɛ, wobɔbɔ wo ɖe anyi le teteɖeanyi, dzɔgbevɔ̃e kple nuxaxa me;
When they become few, brought low by oppression, misery, and sorrow,
40 eye eya ame si trɔa vlododo kɔna ɖe ame ŋkutawo dzi la, wɔe be wole tsaglãla tsam le gbegbe afi si mɔtoƒe aɖeke mele o.
He pours out his contempt on their leaders, making them wander, lost in the wilderness.
41 Ke ekɔ hiãtɔwo ɖe dzi tso woƒe hiã me, eye wòna woƒe ƒome dzi ɖe edzi abe lãhawo ene.
But he lifts the poor out of their troubles, and makes their families as big as flocks.
42 Ame dzɔdzɔe kpɔe, eye wòkpɔ dzidzɔ, gake ame vɔ̃ɖiwo katã mia woƒe nu.
Those who live right will observe what is happening and be glad, but the wicked will be silenced.
43 Ame si nye nunyala la, neɖo to nu siawo, eye wòabu Yehowa ƒe lɔlɔ̃ deto la ŋuti.
Those who are wise will pay attention to all this, and thoughtfully reflect on the Lord's trustworthy love.
