< Psalmowo 106 >

1 Mikafu Yehowa. Mida akpe na Yehowa, elabena eƒe dɔ me nyo, eye eƒe lɔlɔ̃ li ɖaa.
Praise Adonai! Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
2 Ame kae ate ŋu aɖe gbeƒã Yehowa ƒe nu dzɔatsu siwo wòwɔ alo akafui wòade go?
Who can utter the mighty acts of Adonai, or sh'ma ·hear obey, fully declare· all his praise?
3 Woayra ame siwo léa dzɔdzɔenyenye me ɖe asi, ame siwo wɔa nu si nyo la ɣe sia ɣi.
Blessed are those who keep mishpat ·justice·. Blessed is one who does what is right at all times.
4 O! Yehowa, ɖo ŋku dzinye ne èle wò dukɔ la nu vem, va kpe ɖe ŋunye ne èle wo ɖem,
Remember me, Adonai, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your yishu'ah ·salvation·,
5 be nye hã makpɔ gome le wò ame tiatiawo ƒe dzidzedzekpɔkpɔ me, be makpɔ dzidzɔ kple wò dukɔ la, eye mawɔ ɖeka kple wò domenyinu la, akafu wò.
that I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.
6 Míewɔ nu vɔ̃ abe mía fofowo ke ene; míewɔ nu tovo, eye míewɔ nu vɔ̃ɖi.
We have sinned ·deviated (from the standard goal)· with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have been condemned as guilty.
7 Esi mía fofowo nɔ Egipte la, womebu wò nukunuwo ŋu o; womeɖo ŋku wò dɔmenyo gbogboawo dzi o, ke boŋ wodze aglã le ƒu la to, le Ƒu Dzĩ la to,
Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt [Abode of slavery]. They didn’t remember the multitude of your chesed ·loving-kindnesses·, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea].
8 gake eɖe wo le eƒe ŋkɔ la ta, be wòana woanya eƒe ŋusẽ triakɔ la.
Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known.
9 Eblu ɖe Ƒu Dzĩ la ta, eye wòmie; ale wòkplɔ wo to ƒugɔme abe tagba ƒuƒui ene.
He rebuked the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea] also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.
10 Eɖe wo tso futɔ la ƒe asi me, eye ketɔ la ƒe asimee wòxɔ wo le.
He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 Tsi la ŋe tsyɔ wo yometilawo dzi, eye ɖeka pɛ gɔ̃ hã metsi agbe o.
The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.
Then they trusted his words. They sang his tehilah ·praise song·.
13 Kasia woŋlɔ nu si wòwɔ la be xoxo, eye womelala xɔ aɖaŋu tso egbɔ o.
They soon forgot his works. They didn’t wait for his counsel,
but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.
15 Ale wòtsɔ nu si biam wole la na wo, gake eɖo dɔvɔ̃ ɖe wo dome.
He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
16 Woʋã ŋu Mose kple Aron le asaɖa la me, ame si ŋuti wokɔ na Yehowa.
They envied Moses [Drawn out] also in the camp, and Aaron [Light-bringer], Adonai’s saint.
17 Anyigba ke nu mi Datan, eye wòɖi Abiram kple eyomedzelawo agbagbe.
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
18 Dzo va fia wo yomedzelawo, eye dzo ƒe aɖewo fia ame vɔ̃ɖiawo.
A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.
They made a calf in Horeb [Desert], and hawa ·bowed low, prostrated· worshiped a molten image.
20 Wotsɔ woƒe Ŋutikɔkɔe ɖɔli nyitsu si ɖua gbe.
Thus they exchanged their kavod ·weighty glory· for an image of a bull that eats grass.
21 Woŋlɔ Mawu si ɖe wo la be, Mawu si wɔ nu gãwo na wo le Egipte
They forgot God, their source of salvation, who had done great things in Egypt [Abode of slavery],
Wondrous works in the land of Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion], and awesome things by the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea].
23 Eya ta wògblɔ be, yele wo tsrɔ̃ ge.
Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses [Drawn out], his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he would not destroy them.
Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They didn’t trust his word,
25 Wolĩ liʋĩliʋĩ le woƒe agbadɔwo me, eye womeɖo to Yehowa o.
but murmured in their tents, and didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· Adonai’s voice.
26 Eya ta wòdo eƒe asiwo ɖe dzi ka atam na wo be yele nana ge wo katã natsrɔ̃ ɖe gbea dzi,
Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,
27 woƒe dzidzimeviwo atsi dukɔwo dome, eye yeakaka wo ɖe anyigbawo dzi.
that he would overthrow their offspring among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
28 Wotsɔ Baal Peor ƒe kɔkuti ku kɔ na wo ɖokuiwo, eye woɖu nu siwo wotsɔ sa vɔ̃e na mawu siwo me agbe mele o.
They joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 Wotsɔ woƒe nu vɔ̃ɖiawo do dɔmedzoe na Yehowa, eye dɔvɔ̃ gbã gboo ɖe wo dome.
Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds. The plague broke in on them.
30 Gake Finehas tsi tsitre hetso nya me, tete dɔvɔ̃ la nu tso.
Then Pinchas [Bronze skin] stood up, and executed judgment, so the plague was stopped.
31 Wobu esia dzɔdzɔenyenye nɛ hena dzidzime mavɔ siwo ava dzɔ.
That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.
32 Le Meriba tsiawo gbɔ, wodo dɔmedzoe na Yehowa, eye Mose kpɔ nya le woawo ta.
They angered him also at the waters of Meribah [Quarreling], so that Moses [Drawn out] was troubled for their sakes;
33 Elabena wodze aglã ɖe Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔ ŋuti, eye nya vlowo ge le Mose nu.
because they were rebellious against his spirit, he spoke rashly with his lips.
They didn’t destroy the peoples, as Adonai ordered them to do,
35 ke boŋ wotsaka kple dukɔwo, eye wosrɔ̃ woƒe kɔnyinyiwo.
but mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works.
36 Wosubɔ woƒe legbawo, esi zu mɔ me woge ɖo.
They abad ·served· their idols, which became a snare to them.
Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan [Humbled]. The land was polluted with blood.
39 Woƒo ɖi wo ɖokuiwo to nu si wowɔ la me, eye to woƒe nuwɔnawo me, wotsɔ wo ɖokuiwo wɔ gbolowoe,
Thus were they defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.
40 eya ta Yehowa do dɔmedzoe ɖe eƒe dukɔ ŋuti, eye wònyɔ ŋu eƒe domenyinu.
Therefore Adonai burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.
41 Etsɔ wo de asi na dukɔwo, eye woƒe futɔwo ɖu fia ɖe wo dzi.
He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Woƒe futɔwo te wo ɖe to, eye wotsɔ wo de woƒe ŋusẽ te.
Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.
43 Eɖe wo zi geɖe, gake woɖoe kplikpaa be yewoadze aglã, eye wovɔ le eme keŋkeŋ le woƒe nu vɔ̃ me.
Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their depravity (moral evil).
44 Ke ekpɔ woƒe hiã la ɖa, esi wòse woƒe ɣlidodo;
Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he sh'ma ·heard obeyed· their cry.
45 le wo ta, eɖo ŋku eƒe nubabla la dzi, eye wòɖe asi le eƒe tameɖoɖo ŋu le eƒe lɔlɔ̃ gã la ta.
He remembered for them his covenant, and relented according to the multitude of his chesed ·loving-kindnesses·.
He made them also to be shown rachamim ·compassionate loves· by all those who carried them captive.
47 O! Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu, ɖe mí, eye nàƒo mía nu ƒu tso dukɔwo dome, be míada akpe na wò ŋkɔ kɔkɔe la, eye míaƒo adegbe le wò kafukafu ŋu.
Save us, Adonai, our God, gather us from among the nations, yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to your holy name, to triumph in your tehilah ·praise song·!
48 Woakafu Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la, tso mavɔ me yi mavɔ me. Dukɔ blibo la nàgblɔ be, “Amen!” Mikafu Yehowa.
Blessed be Adonai, the God of Israel [God prevails], from everlasting even to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen ·So be it·.” Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
