1 Mida akpe na Yehowa, miyɔ eƒe ŋkɔ, eye miɖe gbeƒã nu siwo wòwɔ la le dukɔwo dome.
Give the Lord thanks, worship his wonderful nature, let people know what he's done!
2 Midzi ha nɛ, midzi kafukafuha nɛ, miɖe gbeƒã eƒe nukunuwɔwɔwo.
Sing to him, sing his praises; tell everyone the great things he's done!
3 Miƒo adegbe le eƒe ŋkɔ kɔkɔe la ŋu, mina ame siwo dia Yehowa la ƒe dzi natso aseye.
Be proud of his holy character; be happy, all who come to the Lord!
4 Midi Yehowa, mibia eƒe ŋusẽ, midi eƒe ŋkume ɖaa.
Look for the Lord, and his strength; always look to be in his presence.
5 Miɖo ŋku nukunu siwo wòwɔ, eƒe dzesiwo kple eƒe ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃wo dzi.
Remember all the wonderful things he's done, the miracles he's performed, and the judgments he's carried out,
6 O! Eƒe dɔla Abraham ƒe dzidzimeviwo. O! Yakob ƒe viwo, ame siwo wòtia.
descendants of Abraham, children of Israel, his chosen people.
7 Eyae nye Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu la, eƒe ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ xɔ anyigba la katã dzi la me.
He is the Lord, our God, his judgments cover the whole earth.
8 Eɖoa ŋku eƒe nubabla kple se siwo wòde na dzidzime akpewo la dzi ɖaa,
He remembers his agreement forever, the promise he made lasts for a thousand generations;
9 eyae nye nu si wòbla kple Abraham kple atam si wòka na Isak.
the agreement he made with Abraham, the vow he gave to Isaac.
10 Eɖo kpe edzi na Yakob abe sedede ene, eye na Israel abe nubabla mavɔ ene be,
The Lord legally confirmed it with Jacob, he made this binding agreement with Israel:
11 “Wòe matsɔ Kanaanyigba la na, abe wò domenyinu ene.”
saying to you, “I will give the land of Canaan for you to possess.”
12 Ke esi wonye ame ʋɛ aɖewo ko, womesɔ gbɔ o, eye wonye amedzrowo le anyigba dzi la,
He said this when they were only a few, just a small group of foreigners in the land.
13 wotsa tso dukɔ me yi dukɔ me, tso fiaɖuƒe ɖeka me yi bubu me.
They wandered from country to country, from one kingdom to the next.
14 Meɖe mɔ be ame aɖeke nate wo ɖe anyi o, le wo ta, wòka mo na fiawo be,
He didn't let anyone one treat them badly; warning kings to leave them alone:
15 “Migaka asi nye amesiaminawo ŋu o, eye migawɔ nu vevi nye nyagblɔɖilawo o.”
“Don't touch my chosen people; don't harm my prophets!”
16 Ena dɔ to ɖe anyigba la dzi, eye wògblẽ woƒe nuɖuɖukpɔtsoƒewo katã,
He caused a famine in the Land of Canaan so that there was no food.
17 ke edɔ ŋutsu aɖe si woyɔna be Yosef, ame si wodzra abe kluvi ene la ɖe wo ŋgɔ.
Before that he sent a man, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18 Wode kunyowu afɔ nɛ, wode abi eŋu, eye wotsɔ gakɔsɔkɔsɔ de kɔ nɛ,
They hurt his feet by placing them in shackles, and they put an iron collar around his neck,
19 va se ɖe esime nya si wògblɔ ɖi la va eme, eye va se ɖe esime Yehowa ƒe nya naɖo kpe edzi, be nya si wògblɔ la nye nyateƒe.
until the time predicted came when the Lord tested him.
20 Fia la dɔ ame woyi ɖaɖee le game, eye dukɔ la dziɖula na ablɔɖee.
The king sent for him and released him; the king of the people set him free.
21 Etsɔe ɖo amegãe ɖe eƒe aƒe nu, eye wònye eƒe nunɔamesiwo katã dzikpɔla,
He put Joseph in charge of the royal household, manager of everything he had,
22 be wòade dɔ asi na eƒe dɔnunɔlawo ale si dze eŋu, eye wòafia nunya eƒe dumegãwo.
to teach the king's officials whatever he wanted, to make the king's advisors wise.
23 Ale Israel ge ɖe Egiptenyigba dzi, eye Yakob nɔ Hamnyigba dzi abe amedzro ene.
Then Israel entered Egypt—Jacob settled as a foreigner in the land of Ham.
24 Yehowa na eƒe dukɔ la dzi ɖe edzi, eye wòna wosɔ gbɔ fũu akpa na woƒe futɔwo,
The Lord made his people more fertile and more powerful than their enemies.
25 ame siwo ƒe dzi wòtrɔ be woalé fu eƒe dukɔ la, eye woaɖo nugbe ɖe eƒe dɔlawo ŋu.
He made the Egyptians change their minds and hate his people and act deceptively towards them.
26 Edɔ Mose, eƒe dɔla kple Aron, eƒe ame tiatia ɖa.
He sent his servant Moses, together with Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 Wowɔ eƒe dzesi gãwo le wo dome kple eƒe nukunuwo le Hamnyigba dzi.
They carried out his miraculous signs among the Egyptians, his wonders in the land of Ham.
28 Eɖo viviti ɖa, eye anyigba la dzi do blukɔ elabena ɖe wometsi tsitre ɖe eƒe nyawo ŋu oa?
He plunged the country into darkness—for hadn't they defied what the Lord had said?
29 Ena woƒe tsiwo trɔ zu ʋu, eye to esia me woƒe tɔmelãwo ku.
He turned their water into blood, killing all the fish.
30 Ena woƒe anyigba la dzi yɔ fũu kple akpɔkplɔwo, esiwo ge ɖe woƒe dumegãwo ƒe xɔgãwo me ke.
Then he sent a plague of frogs across the land that even entered the bedrooms of their rulers.
31 Eƒo nu, eye tagbatsutsu kple togbato ƒe ha gã aɖe va xɔ woƒe dukɔ la katã me.
He gave the command, and flies spread throughout their land; mosquitoes were everywhere.
32 Etrɔ woƒe tsidzadza wòzu kpetsi, eye dzikedzo kpe ɖe eŋuti le woƒe anyigba blibo la dzi.
He rained down hail on them, and lightning flashed across their land.
33 Eƒo woƒe wainkawo kple gbotiwo ƒu anyi, eye wòmu ati siwo le woƒe dukɔ me la ƒu anyi.
He struck down their grape vines, and tore down their trees.
34 Eƒo nu, eye ʋetsuviwo va ƒo ɖi, nenema kee nye abɔ gbogbo aɖewo hã;
He gave the command, and swarms of locusts came—countless locusts:
35 woɖu numiemie mumu ɖe sia ɖe le woƒe anyigba la dzi, eye woɖu nuku ɖe sia ɖe si le bo dzi hã.
they ate up all the vegetation in their land; they consumed all the growing crops.
36 Emegbe la, eƒo ŋgɔgbevi siwo katã le woƒe anyigba dzi la ƒu anyi, esiwo nye woƒe ŋutsunyenye ƒe kutsetse gbãtɔwo.
He killed all the firstborn in Egypt, the first to be produced in their vigor and strength.
37 Ke ekplɔ Israel do goe, wodo agba kple klosalo kple sika, eye ame beli aɖeke menɔ woƒe toawo dome o.
Then he led his people out of Egypt, carrying silver and gold—not one among the tribes was stumbling along.
38 Egipte kpɔ dzidzɔ esi wodo go dzo, elabena Israel ƒe ŋɔdzi lé wo.
The Egyptians were delighted to see them go, for they were frightened of the Israelites.
39 Ekeke lilikpo ɖe wo dzi abe avɔ ene, eye wòna dzo wo be wòanye akaɖi na wo le zã me.
He spread a cloud above them as a covering, and at night a fire to give them light.
40 Wobiae, eye wòna tegliwo woɖu, eye wòtsɔ dziƒobolo ɖi ƒo na woe.
He gave them quails to eat when they asked him; he fed them with the bread of heaven until they were full.
41 Eʋu agakpe la, tsi do na wo bababa, eye wòsi to gbegbe la abe tɔsisi ene.
He split the rock open, and water gushed out—a river flowing through the desert.
42 Elabena eɖo ŋku eƒe ŋugbe kɔkɔe si wòdo na eƒe dɔla Abraham la dzi.
For he remembered his holy promise to his servant Abraham.
43 Ekplɔ eƒe dukɔ la do goe kple aseyetsotso, eƒe ame tiatiawo kple dzidzɔɣli.
So he led his people out, his chosen ones, as they sang for joy.
44 Etsɔ dukɔwo ƒe anyigbawo na wo, eye nu si ame bubuwo ku kutri kpɔ la va zu domenyinu na wo.
He gave them the lands of the heathen nations, and they inherited what other people had worked for.
45 Ale be woalé eƒe ɖoɖowo me ɖe asi, eye woawɔ eƒe sewo dzi. Mikafu Yehowa.
The Lord did this so they could follow his instructions and keep his laws. Praise the Lord!
