< Psalmowo 104 >
1 O! Luʋɔnye, kafu Yehowa. O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, èlolo loo; èɖo atsyɔ̃, eye nèta gãnyenye.
Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great, clad in awful splendor,
2 Etsyɔ kekeli abe avɔ ene, ehe dziƒo me abe avɔgbadɔ ene,
covered with robe of light. You stretch out the heavens like the cloth of a tent.
3 eye wòɖo eƒe dziƒoxɔwo ƒe sɔtiwo ƒe agunu anyi ɖe woƒe tsiwo dzi. Etsɔ lilikpowo wɔ eƒe tasiaɖam, eye wònɔ ya ƒe aʋalawo dzi.
He lays the beams of his chambers on water. He takes dark clouds for his chariot, and rides on the wings of the wind.
4 Yae nye eƒe dɔtsɔlawo, eye dzo ƒe aɖewo nye eƒe dɔlawo.
He takes the winds for his messengers, the fire and the flame for his servants.
5 Eɖo anyigba anyi ɖe eƒe gɔmeɖokpe dzi, eya ta maʋã akpɔ gbeɖe o.
He founded the earth upon pillars, to sustain it unshaken forever.
6 Ètsɔ gogloƒewo tsyɔ nɛ abe avɔ ene, eye tsiawo tɔ ɖe toawo tame.
With the garment of ocean he covered it, waters towered over the mountains.
7 Ke esi nèblu la, tsiawo si, eye esi nèɖe gbe la, wolé du tsɔ.
But at your rebuke they fled, scared by the roar of your thunder,
8 Wosi to towo tame, heva to balimewo, va ɖo teƒe si nètia na wo la.
mountains rose, valleys sank down to the place appointed for them.
9 Èɖo liƒo si dzi womate ŋu adze to o la na wo, eye womagakaka axɔ anyigba dzi akpɔ gbeɖe o.
They dared not pass the bounds set for them, or cover the earth any more.
10 Ena tsitsetsewo kɔ ɖe agawo me, eye wosi to towo dome.
He sent brooks into the valleys, they meander between the mountains.
11 Wonaa tsi gbemelãwo, eye wotsia gbetedziwo ƒe tsikɔwuame nu.
The wild beasts all drink from them, and the wild asses quench their thirst.
12 Dziƒoxeviwo wɔa atɔ ɖe tsisisiawo to, eye wodzia ha le atilɔwo dzi.
The birds have their home by the banks, and sing in the branches.
13 Edea tsi towo tso eƒe xɔ dzigbemetɔ me; eƒe dɔ ƒe kutsetse ɖia ƒo na anyigba.
From his chambers above he gives drink to the mountains, and satisfies earth with the vials of heaven.
14 Ena gbe mie na nyihawo, eye wòƒãa nuku na amegbetɔ be wòaxa, ale wòna nuɖuɖu do tso anyigba la me na wo;
He makes grass grow for the cattle, and herbs for people. He brings bread out of the earth;
15 wain si doa dzidzɔ na ame ƒe dzi, ami si ana be eƒe mo nanɔ keklẽm kple abolo si alé eƒe dzi ɖe te.
wine, to gladden hearts; oil, to make faces shine; bread, to strengthen hearts.
16 Wode tsi Yehowa ƒe atiawo nyuie, Lebanon ƒe sedati siwo wòdo.
The trees of the Lord drink their fill the cedars he planted on Lebanon,
17 Afi mae xeviwo wɔ woƒe atɔwo ɖo, eye aŋɔɣi wɔ eƒe nɔƒe ɖe gbotiwo me.
where the little birds build their nest, and the stork whose home is the cypress.
18 To kɔkɔwo nye gbemegbɔ̃wo tɔ, eye agakpewo tome zu bebeƒe na hlɔ̃madɛwo.
The high hills are for the wild goats, and the rocks are for coneys to hide in.
19 Ɣleti dea vovototo ɣeyiɣiwo dome, eye ɣe nya ɣeyiɣi si wòaɖo to.
He created the moon to mark seasons, and told the sun when to set.
20 Ètsɔ viviti vɛ, eye wòzu zã, ale lã siwo katã le ave me la doa go.
You make it dark: night comes, when all the wild beasts creep out.
21 Dzatawo ɖea gbe na nuléle, eye wodia woƒe nuɖuɖu tso Mawu gbɔ.
Young lions that roar for their prey, seeking their meat from God.
22 Ɣe dzena, eye wotrɔna dzona ɖamlɔa woƒe dowo me.
At sunrise they slink away, and lie down in their dens.
23 Tete ame do go yi dɔ me, yi ɖe eƒe dɔ gbɔ va se ɖe fiẽ.
Then people go forth to their work, and toil till evening.
24 O! Yehowa, wò dɔwɔwɔwo sɔ gbɔ loo! Èwɔ wo katã le nunya deto me, anyigba dzi yɔ fũu kple wò nuwɔwɔwo.
How many, O Lord, are your works, all of them made in wisdom! The earth is filled with your creatures.
25 Atsiaƒue nye ekem, elolo hekeke, lã siwo mele xexlẽme o la yɔe, nenema kee nye nu gbagbe bubuwo hã, suewo kple gãwo siaa.
And there is the great broad sea, where are countless things in motion, living creatures, both great and small.
26 Meliwo zɔa edzi yina, gagbɔna, eye afii mae boso si nèwɔ la hã le.
There go the ships, and the Leviathan you made to play there.
27 Esiawo katã le asiwò nu kpɔm be nàna nuɖuɖu yewo le wo naɣi.
They all look in hope to you, to give them their food in due season.
28 Ne èna wo la, woƒonɛ ƒu; eye ne èʋu wò asi la, ètsɔa nu nyui ɖia ƒo na wo.
And you give with open hand; they gather and eat to their heart’s desire.
29 Ke ne èɣla wò mo la, ŋɔdzi léa wo, eye ne èxɔ woƒe gbɔgbɔ le wo si la, wokuna, trɔna zua kewɔ.
When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take their breath away, they die and go back to their dust.
30 Ne èdɔ wò Gbɔgbɔ ɖa la, wodzɔna, eye nèwɔa anyigba ƒe ŋkume yeyee.
But a breath from your lips creates them, and renews the face of the earth.
31 Yehowa ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe nenɔ anyi tegbee. Yehowa nekpɔ dzidzɔ le eƒe dɔwɔwɔwo ŋu,
May the glory of the Lord be forever, may the Lord rejoice in his works.
32 eya ame si do mo ɖe anyigba dzi, eye anyigba dzo nyanyanya; eya ame si ka asi towo ŋu, eye wotu dzudzɔ.
A glance of his makes the earth tremble, a touch of his makes the hills smoke.
33 Madzi ha na Yehowa le nye agbemeŋkekewo katã me, eye zi ale si mele agbe la, madzi kafukafuha na nye Mawu la.
I will sing to the Lord while I live, I will play to my God while I am.
34 Nye ŋugbledede nedze eŋu, esi mele dzidzɔ kpɔm le Yehowa me.
May my musing be sweet to him, for I rejoice in the Lord.
35 Ke nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo netsrɔ̃ ɖa le anyigba dzi, eye ame vɔ̃ɖiwo maganɔ anyi o. O! Luʋɔnye, kafu Yehowa. Mikafu Yehowa.
But may sinners be swept from the earth, and the wicked vanish forever. O my soul, bless the Lord. Hallelujah.
