Psalmowo 101

1 David ƒe ha. O! Yehowa, madzi ha le wò lɔlɔ̃ kple afia nyui tsotso ŋuti, eye madzi kafukafuha na wò.

Of David, a psalm. If kindness and justice I sing, making melody to you, Lord.

2 Makpɔ nyuie be menɔ agbe si ŋu mokaka mele o, eya ta gbe ka gbe nàva asrãm kpɔ? Mazɔ le aƒenye me kple dzi si ŋuti mokaka mele o.

I would look to the way that is blameless, and make it my own. Within my own house I would walk with an innocent heart.

3 Nyematsɔ nu si me vɔ̃ le la aɖo nye ŋkume o. Metsri xɔsemanɔsitɔwo ƒe nuwɔnawo, womalé ɖe ŋunye o.

I would never direct my eyes to a thing that is base. The impulse to stray I abhor it shall not cling to me.

4 Ame siwo ƒe dzi to vo la, ate ɖa xaa tso gbɔnye, kadodo aɖeke mele nye kple nu vɔ̃ɖi dome o.

Far from me be perverseness of heart, or kinship with evil.

5 Made ga nu na ame si ƒo ɖi ehavi ƒe ŋkɔ le bebeme, eye ame si ŋku gã le esi eye wòdana le dzi me la, eya nyematɔ ɖe egbɔ o.

Who slanders their neighbor in secret, I bring them to silence: haughty looks and proud hearts I will not abide.

6 Nye ŋku anɔ nuteƒewɔlawo ŋu le anyigba dzi, be woanɔ anyi kplim. Ame si fɔɖiɖi mele eƒe zɔzɔme ŋu o la, anye nye nunɔla.

I will favor the true in the land, they shall live in my court. Those who walk in a way that is blameless will be my attendant.

7 Ame si nye ameblela la, manɔ aƒenye me o, eye ame si daa alakpa la matsi tsitre ɖe ŋkunye me o.

No one will live in my house who practises guile. No one that speaks a lie will abide in my presence.

8 Ŋdi sia ŋdi la, mana ame vɔ̃ɖi siwo le anyigba dzi la nazi ɖoɖoe. Maɖe nu tovo wɔla ɖe sia ɖe ɖa le Yehowa ƒe du la me.

Morn by morn I will wholly wipe out all the bad in the land, and cut off from the Lord’s own city all workers of evil.
