1 Yehowa gblɔ na Mose be,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 “Ɖe gbe na Israelviwo, eye nàgblɔ na wo be, ‘Ne mieɖo Kanaan la, anyigba si woana mi abe domenyinu ene la ƒe liƒowo ayi ale:
“Enjoin the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘When you come into the land of Canaan [Humbled] (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan [Humbled] according to its borders),
3 “‘Miaƒe anyigba la ƒe anyigbeme ƒe liƒo anye Zin gbegbe la, ato Edom ƒe liƒo dzi. Miaƒe anyigba ƒe dzieheliƒo anye Dzeƒu la,
then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom [Red], and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.
4 ato afi ma aɖo ta dziehe, ato Akrabim to dzi mɔ le Zin lɔƒo. Eƒe seƒe le dziehe anye Kades Barnea, afi si wòatso aɖo ta Hazar Adar, ayi Azmon.
Your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and it shall pass southward of Kadesh Barnea [Consecrated Son-inconstant]; and it shall go from there to Hazar Addar, and pass along to Azmon.
5 Tso Azmon la, liƒo la azɔ Egipte tɔʋu la ŋu ayi aɖatɔ Dzeƒu la.
The border shall turn about from Azmon to the brook of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and it shall end at the sea.
6 Miaƒe ɣetoɖoƒeliƒo anye Domeƒu la ƒe ƒuta.
“‘For the western border, you shall have the Great Sea [Mediterranean Sea, Inland Sea] and its border. This shall be your west border.
7 Miaƒe dzigbemeliƒo adze egɔme tso Domeƒu la ŋu, aɖo ta ɣedzeƒe, ayi Hor to la gbɔ.
“‘This shall be your north border: from the Great Sea [Mediterranean Sea, Inland Sea] you shall mark out for yourselves Mount Hor.
8 Tso Hor to la gbɔ ayi Lebo Hamat, ato Zedad
From Mount Hor you shall mark out to the entrance of Hamath; and the border shall pass by Zedad.
9 kple Zifron, ayi Hazar Enan. Esia anye miaƒe anyieheliƒo la.
Then the border shall go to Ziphron, and it shall end at Hazar Enan. This shall be your north border.
10 Miaƒe ɣedzeƒeliƒo atso Hazar Enan aɖo ta anyigbeme ayi Sefam
“‘You shall mark out your east border from Hazar Enan to Shepham.
11 kple Ribla le Ain ƒe ɣedzeƒe lɔƒo. Tso afi ma la, aɖiɖi aƒo xlã gbã, aɖo ta anyigbeme gome, atrɔ aɖo ta ɣetoɖoƒe lɔƒo va se ɖe esime wòaɖo Galilea ƒu la ƒe anyigbeme nu tututu.
The border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain. The border shall go down, and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward.
12 Tso afi ma la, azɔ Yɔdan tɔsisi la ŋu ahawu nu ɖe Dzeƒu la nu. “‘Esiae nye miaƒe anyigba kple eƒe liƒo si ƒo xlãe.’”
The border shall go down to the Jordan [Descender], and end at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders around it.’”
13 Mose gblɔ na Israelviwo be, “Anyigba sia dzie miadzidze nu ɖo hena emama ɖe mia dome. Mimae ɖe to asiekɛ kple afã dome,
Moses [Drawn out] enjoined the children of Israel [God prevails], saying, “This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which Adonai has enjoined to give to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe;
14 elabena Ruben ƒe viwo ƒe to la kple Gad ƒe viwo ƒe to la kple Manase ƒe viwo ƒe to la ƒe afã xɔ woƒe domenyinu xoxo.
for the tribe of the children of Reuben [See, a son!] according to their fathers’ houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad [Good fortune] according to their fathers’ houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh [Causing to forget] have received, their inheritance.
15 To eve kple afã siawo xɔ woƒe domenyinu le Yɔdan tɔsisi la ƒe ɣedzeƒe le Yeriko kasa.”
The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan [Descender] at Jericho [Fragrant, Moon] eastward, toward the sunrise.”
16 Yehowa gblɔ na Mose be,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
17 “Ame siwo metia be woakpɔ anyigba la mama dzi la ƒe ŋkɔwoe nye: nunɔla Eleazar, Yosua, Nun ƒe viŋutsu,
“These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and Joshua [Salvation Yah] the son of Nun.
18 eye nàtia kplɔla tso to ɖe sia ɖe me.
You shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.
19 “Ame siawoe nye: “Kaleb, Yefune ƒe viŋutsu, tso Yuda ƒe to la me,
These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah [Praised], Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
20 Samuel, Amihud ƒe viŋutsu, tso Simeon ƒe to la me,
Of the tribe of the children of Simeon [Hearing], Shemuel the son of Ammihud.
21 Elidad, Kislon ƒe viŋutsu, tso Benyamin ƒe to la me,
Of the tribe of Benjamin [Son of right hand, Son of south], Elidad the son of Chislon.
22 Buki, Yogli viŋutsu, tso Dan ƒe to la me,
Of the tribe of the children of Dan [He judged] a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli.
23 Yosef ƒe dzidzimevi siwo anye tatɔwo lae nye esiwo: Haniel, Efɔd ƒe viŋutsu, tso Manase ƒe to la me,
Of the children of Joseph [May he add]: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh [Causing to forget] a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
24 Kemuel, Siftan ƒe viŋutsu, tso Efraim ƒe to la me,
Of the tribe of the children of Ephraim [Fruit] a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
25 Elizafan, Parnax viŋutsu, tso Zebulon ƒe to la me,
Of the tribe of the children of Zebulun [Living together] a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
26 Paltiel, Azan ƒe viŋutsu, tso Isaka ƒe to la me,
Of the tribe of the children of Issachar [Hire, Reward] a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
27 Ahihud, Selomi ƒe viŋutsu, tso Aser ƒe to la me,
Of the tribe of the children of Asher [Happy] a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
28 Pedahel, Amihud ƒe viŋutsu, tso Naftali ƒe to la me.”
Of the tribe of the children of Naphtali [My wrestling] a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
29 Esiawoe nye ame siwo metia be woakpɔ anyigba la mama ɖe Israelviwo dome dzi la ƒe ŋkɔwo.
These are they whom Adonai enjoined to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel [God prevails] in the land of Canaan [Humbled].
