< Mose 4 30 >
1 Mose gblɔ na Israelviwo ƒe towo ƒe tatɔwo be, “Se si Yehowa de lae nye esi.
Moses spoke to the leaders of the tribes of the people of Israel. He said, “This is what Yahweh has commanded.
2 Ne ame aɖe ɖe adzɔgbe na Yehowa alo ka atam hetsri nane na eɖokui la, mele be wòada le eƒe nya dzi o, ke boŋ ele be wòawɔ ɖe nya sia nya si wògblɔ la dzi.
When anyone makes a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind himself with a promise, he must not break his word. He must keep his promise to do everything that comes out of his mouth.
3 “Ne nyɔnu aɖe, si nye ɖetugbi le fofoa ƒe aƒe me ɖe adzɔgbe na Yehowa be yeawɔ nane alo yemawɔ nane o,
When a young woman living in her father's house makes a vow to Yahweh and binds herself with a promise,
4 eye fofoa nya nu tso ɖetugbi la ƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la kple tohehe siwo ku ɖe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la ŋuti ŋu, gake megblɔ nya aɖeke o la, ekema ele be ɖetugbi la nawɔ ɖe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi kokoko.
if her father hears the vow and the promise by which she has bound herself, and if he says nothing to reverse her, then all her vows will remain in force. Every promise by which she has bound herself will remain in force.
5 Ke ne fofoa melɔ̃ ɖe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi o, alo wòbu be tohehe si dzi wòlɔ̃ ɖo sesẽ akpa la, ekema ɖetugbi la ƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la megablae o. Ne fofoa melɔ̃ ɖe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi o la, ekema ele nɛ be wòaɖe gbeƒã nenema le gbe si gbe wònya nu le adzɔgbeɖeɖe la ŋu; ekema Yehowa atsɔe ake ɖetugbi la, elabena fofoa melɔ̃ ɖe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi o.
But if her father hears about her vow and her promise, and if he says nothing to her, then all the vows and promises that she took on herself will remain in force.
6 “Ne nyɔnu aɖe ɖe adzɔgbe alo do ŋugbe dzodzro aɖe hafi va ɖe srɔ̃ la,
However, if her father hears all the vows she made and her solemn promises with which she has bound herself, and if he overrules her on that same day, then they will not remain in force. Yahweh will forgive her because her father had overruled her.
7 ne srɔ̃ŋutsu la se nya la, eye megblɔ nya aɖeke tso eŋu le gbe si gbe wòse nu tso eŋuti dzi o la, ekema ele be nyɔnu la nawɔ ɖe eƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi kokoko.
If she marries a man while she is under those vows, or if she makes rash promises with which she obligates herself, those obligations will remain in force.
8 Ke ne srɔ̃ŋutsu la gbe be yemelɔ̃ ɖe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi o la, ekema adzɔgbeɖeɖe la megabla nyɔnu la o, eye Yehowa atsɔe akee.
But if her husband stops her on the day that he hears about it, then he cancels the vow that she has made, the rash talk of her lips with which she has bound herself. Yahweh will release her.
9 “Ke ne nyɔnu la zu ahosi alo eya kple srɔ̃a dome klã la, ekema ele nɛ be wòawɔ ɖe eƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi kokoko.
But as for a widow or a divorced woman, everything by which she has bound herself will remain in force against her.
10 “Ne srɔ̃nyɔnu aɖe le srɔ̃a ƒe aƒe me, eye wòɖe adzɔgbe,
If a woman made a vow in her husband's house or obligates herself by taking an oath,
11 ne srɔ̃ŋutsu la se nu tso srɔ̃a ƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la ŋu, eye megblɔ nya aɖeke o la, ekema ele be nyɔnu la nawɔ ɖe eƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi kokoko.
and her husband hears of it, but he says nothing to her and he does oppose her, then all her vows must stand and the obligations she made must remain in force.
12 Ke ne ŋutsu la gblɔ le ŋkeke gbãtɔ si wòse nu tso adzɔgbeɖeɖe la ŋu be yemelɔ̃ ɖe edzi o la, ekema adzɔgbeɖeɖe la megabla nyɔnu la o, eye Yehowa atsɔe akee.
But if her husband cancels them on the day that he heard about them, then whatever came out of her lips about her vows or promises will not remain in force. Her husband has canceled them. Yahweh will release her.
13 Ale srɔ̃ŋutsu ate ŋu alɔ̃ adzɔgbeɖeɖe la nabla srɔ̃a loo alo agbe, eye adzɔgbeɖeɖe la mabla srɔ̃a o.
Every vow or oath a woman takes that binds her to deny herself something may be confirmed or canceled by her husband.
14 Ke ne ŋutsu la megblɔ nya aɖeke o, eye ŋkeke ɖeka va yi la, ekema elɔ̃ ɖe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi.
But if he says nothing at all to her day after day, then he confirms all her vows and binding promises that she has made. He has confirmed them because he has said nothing to her at the time that he heard about them.
15 Ne srɔ̃ŋutsu la lala ŋkeke ɖeka va yi hafi wòva gbe be yemelɔ̃ ɖe ye srɔ̃ ƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi o la, ekema tohehe ka ke dzi nyɔnu la lɔ̃ ɖo be wòava ye dzi ne yemewɔ ɖe yeƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi o la ava ŋutsu la boŋ dzi, elabena eyae meɖe mɔ na nyɔnu la be wòawɔ ɖe eƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi o.”
If her husband tries to cancel his wife's vow a long time after he has heard about it, then he will be responsible for her sin.”
16 Esiawoe nye se siwo Yehowa de na Mose tso ale si srɔ̃ŋutsu kple srɔ̃nyɔnu dome nanɔ kple ale si fofo kple vinyɔnu dome nanɔ la ŋu.
These are the statutes that Yahweh commanded Moses to announce—statutes for what is between a man and his wife and between a father and his daughter when she is in her youth in her father's family.
