< Mateo 7 >
1 “Mègadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu ame bubuwo o, ne menye nenema o la, woadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu wò hã,
"Judge not, that you may not be judged;
for your own judgement will be dealt--and your own measure meted--to yourselves.
3 “Nu ka ta nèkpɔa ati fefi si le nɔviwò ƒe ŋku dzi, gake mèkpɔa atikpo si le wò ŋutɔ wò ŋku dzi o mahã?
And why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye, and not notice the beam which is in your own eye?
4 Aleke wɔ nàgblɔ na nɔviwò be, ‘Na maɖe ati fefi le wò ŋku dzi,’ le esime atikpo le wò ŋutɔ wò ŋku dzi?
Or how say to your brother, 'Allow me to take the splinter out of your eye,' while the beam is in your own eye?
5 Wò, alakpanuwɔla, ɖe atikpo le wò ŋutɔ wò ŋku dzi gbã, ekema àkpɔ nu nyuie ale be nàte ŋu aɖe ati fefi si le nɔviwò ƒe ŋku dzi la.
Hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to remove the splinter from your brother's eye.
"Give not that which is holy to the dogs, nor throw your pearls to the swine; otherwise they will trample them under their feet and then turn and attack you.
7 “Mibia nu, eye woana mi; midi nu, eye miakpɔe; miƒo ʋɔa, eye woaʋui na mi.
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
8 Elabena ame sia ame si biaa nu la, wonanɛ; ame sia ame si dia nu la, ekpɔnɛ, eya ta ne mieƒo ʋɔa ko la, woaʋui na mi.
For it is always he who asks that receives, he who seeks that finds, and he who knocks that has the door opened to him.
9 “Mia dometɔ kae li nenye be Via ŋutsu bia aboloe la, wòatsɔ kpe nɛ?
What man is there among you, who if his son shall ask him for bread will offer him a stone?
10 Alo nenye be ebia tɔmelãe la, wòatsɔ dalã nɛ?
Or if the son shall ask him for a fish will offer him a snake?
11 Ke nenye be mi ame vɔ̃ɖiwo mienya ale si miana nu nyui mia viwo la, ɖe mia Fofo si le dziƒo la mana nu nyuiwo ame siwo bianɛ geɖe wu oa?
If you then, imperfect as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12 Le nu sia nu me la, nu siwo ke miedina be amewo nawɔ na mi la, miwɔ nu mawo ke na ame bubuwo hã, elabena esiae nye Se la kple Nyagblɔɖilawo ƒe nufiafia ƒe taƒonya.
Everything, therefore, be it what it may, that you would have men do to you, do you also the same to them; for in this the Law and the Prophets are summed up.
13 “Mige ɖe eme to agbo xaxɛ la me, elabena agbo la keke, mɔ la hã le gbadzaa, eye wòkplɔa ame yina ɖe tsɔtsrɔ̃ me, eye ame geɖewoe le eme tom le gegem ɖe eme.
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad the road which leads to ruin, and many there are who enter by it;
14 Ke agbo si le xaxɛe, mɔ la hã le buie la kplɔa amewo yina ɖe agbe me, eye ame ʋɛ aɖewo koe toa mɔ sia.
because narrow is the gate and contracted the road which leads to Life, and few are those who find it.
15 “Mikpɔ nyuie le aʋatsonyagblɔɖilawo ŋuti. Wovaa mia gbɔ abe alẽwo ene, ke le wo me la, wonye amegaxi nyanyrawo.
"Beware of the false teachers--men who come to you in sheep's fleeces, but beneath that disguise they are ravenous wolves.
16 Woƒe kutsetse miatsɔ adze si woe. Ɖe woate ŋu agbe waintsetse le aŋɔka dzi alo gbotsetse le ŋuti dzia?
By their fruits you will easily recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thorns or figs from brambles?
17 Nenema ke ati nyui sia ati nyui tsea ku nyui, ke ati manyomanyo tsea ku gbegblẽ.
Just so every good tree produces good fruit, but a poisonous tree produces bad fruit.
18 Ati nyui mate ŋu atse ku gbegblẽ o, eye ati manyomanyo mate ŋu atse ku nyui o.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a poisonous tree good fruit.
19 Ati sia ati si metsea ku nyui o la, wolãnɛ dea dzo me,
Every tree which does not yield good fruit is cut down and thrown aside for burning.
20 eya ta woƒe kutsetse miatsɔ adze si woe.
So by their fruits at any rate, you will easily recognize them.
21 “Menye ame sia ame si le yɔyem be, ‘Aƒetɔ, Aƒetɔ’ lae ayi dziƒofiaɖuƒe la me o, negbe ame siwo le Fofonye si le dziƒo la ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu wɔm la koe.
"Not every one who says to me, 'Master, Master,' will enter the Kingdom of the Heavens, but only those who are obedient to my Father who is in Heaven.
22 Ame geɖewo agblɔ nam le ŋkeke ma dzi be, ‘Aƒetɔ, Aƒetɔ, ɖe menye wò ŋkɔ mee míegblɔ nya ɖi le, míenya gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo do goe le, eye míewɔ nukunu geɖewo le oa?’
Many will say to me on that day, "'Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Thy name, and in Thy name expelled demons, and in Thy name performed many mighty works?'
23 Ekema maɖo eŋu na wo be, ‘Nyemenya mi o, mite ɖa le gbɔnye, mi nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔlawo!’
"And then I will tell them plainly, "'I never knew you: begone from me, you doers of wickedness.'
24 “Ame sia ame si sea nye nya, eye wòwɔna ɖe edzi la le abe nunyala si tu eƒe xɔ ɖe agakpe sesẽ dzi ene.
"Every one who hears these my teachings and acts upon them will be found to resemble a wise man who builds his house upon rock;
25 Togbɔ be tsi dza sesĩe, tɔwo ɖɔ, eye ahom tu hã la, xɔa meʋã o, elabena woɖo egɔme anyi ɖe agakpe sesẽ dzi.

26 Gake ame si sea nye nyawo, eye metsɔa ɖeke le wo me o la sɔ kple ŋutsu movitɔ si tu eƒe xɔ ɖe ke me.
And every one who hears these my teachings and does not act upon them will be found to resemble a fool who builds his house upon sand.
27 Azɔ esi tsi dza, tɔwo ɖɔ eye ahom tu, lɔ xɔ sia ɖe eme ko la, emu dze anyi gbloo.”
The heavy rain descends, the swollen torrents come, and the winds blow and burst upon the house, and it falls; and disastrous is the fall."
28 Esi Yesu wu nya siawo gbɔgblɔ nu la, ameha la ƒe nu ku le eƒe nufiafia la ta,
