< Mateo 5 >

1 Gbe ɖeka esi amehawo ganɔ ƒu ƒom ɖe Yesu ŋu la, elia togbɛ aɖe, henɔ anyi eye eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo hã va nɔ egbɔ.
When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him,
2 Azɔ efia nu wo le afi ma hegblɔ na wo be,
and He began to teach them, saying:
3 “Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo da ahe le gbɔgbɔ me la, elabena wotsɔ dziƒofiaɖuƒe la na mi.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo hã le konyi fam la, elabena woafa akɔ na mi!
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo fa tu, miawoe anyi anyigba la ƒe dome.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6 Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo wum dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe dɔ kple tsikɔ le la, elabena miawoe aɖi ƒo.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7 Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo le nublanui kpɔm na amewo, elabena miawoe woakpɔ nublanui na.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8 Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo dza le miaƒe dzi me, elabena miawoe akpɔ Mawu.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo léa avu la, elabena miawoe woayɔ be Mawu ƒe viwo.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
10 Dzi nedzɔ mi, mi ame siwo yome woti le dzɔdzɔenyenye ta, elabena miawo tɔe nye dziƒofiaɖuƒe la.”
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
12 Mikpɔ dzidzɔ, eye mitso aseye, elabena fetu gã aɖe le mia lalam le dziƒo. Miɖo ŋku edzi be, nenema ke woti Nyagblɔɖila siwo do ŋgɔ na mi la hã yomee.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
Ŋudɔwɔnu aɖeke maganɔ mia ŋu o, ɖeko woatsɔ mi aƒu gbe, aɖo afɔ mia dzi.
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14 “Miawoe nye xexea me ƒe kekeli. Womate ŋu aɣla du si le to dzi la o.
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Ame aɖeke medraa akaɖi tsɔ dea afianu te o, ke boŋ ɖe akaɖiti dzi, be wòaklẽ na aƒea me nɔla ɖe sia ɖe.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 Nenema ke mina miaƒe akaɖiwo naklẽ le amewo gbɔ, be woakpɔ miaƒe dɔ nyui wɔwɔ, eye woakafu mia Fofo si le dziƒo.”
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
17 “Mise eme nyuie be, menye ɖe meva be mate fli ɖe Mose ƒe seawo kple Nyagblɔɖilawo ƒe nuxlɔ̃amenyawo me o. Gbeɖe, menye nu siawo wɔ ge meva o, ke boŋ ɖe meva be mawu seawo nu, eye mafia woƒe nyateƒenyenye.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
18 Vavã mele egblɔm na mi be zi ale si dziƒo kple anyigba li la, ŋɔŋlɔ suetɔ kekeake alo nu suetɔ si wotsɔ nuŋlɔti ŋlɔe la, mabu le se la me o va se ɖe esime woawu nu sia nu nu,
For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
19 eya ta ne ame aɖe da le se siawo ƒe suetɔ kekeake dzi, eye wòfia amewo hã be woada le edzi la, eyae anye suetɔ kekeake le dziƒofiaɖuƒe la me. Ke ame siwo fiaa Mawu ƒe seawo, eye wowɔna ɖe wo dzi la, woayɔ wo be gã le dziƒofiaɖuƒe la me.
So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 Mele nu xlɔ̃m mi be, ne miaƒe dzɔdzɔnyenye meƒo Farisitɔwo kple Yudatɔwo ƒe sefialawo tɔ ta sãa o la, miawo hã miate ŋu age ɖe dziƒofiaɖuƒe la me gbeɖe o!”
For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder’ and ‘Anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
Ke ne ame aɖe agblɔ be, ‘Èdzɔ lã!’ la, ayi dzomavɔʋe la me. (Geenna g1067)
But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to the fire of hell. (Geenna g1067)
23 “Ne èle gbedoxɔ me le vɔsamlekpui ŋgɔ le vɔ sam na Mawu, eye nèɖo ŋku edzi be dzre aɖe le mi kple nɔviwò aɖe dome la,
So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24 gblẽ wò vɔsanu la ɖe vɔsamlekpui la ŋgɔ ne nàyi aɖe kuku na nɔviwò sia, eye nàdzra mi kplii dome ɖo hafi nàva sa vɔ na Mawu.
leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25 “Wɔ ɖeka kple wò futɔ si kplɔ wò yina ʋɔnui la kaba esi miegale mɔa dzi ko. Ne menye nenema o la, atsɔ wò ade asi na ʋɔnudrɔ̃la, ʋɔnudrɔ̃la hã atsɔ wò ade asi na asrafomegã, eye woade wò mɔ.
Reconcile quickly with your adversary, while you are still on the way to court. Otherwise, he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
26 Le nyateƒe me la, womaɖe asi le ŋuwò o, va se ɖe esime nàxe fe ɖe sia ɖe si nènyi la, eye pesewa afã hã masusɔ o.”
Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
27 “Miese wogblɔ be, ‘Megawɔ ahasi o,’
You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’
28 gake nye ya mele egblɔm na mi be, ne ŋutsu aɖe kpɔ nyɔnu aɖe, eye wòdzroe la, ewɔ ahasi kplii xoxo le eƒe dzi me.
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 Nenye wò ŋku ɖusimetɔe nana be nèwɔa nu vɔ̃ la, hoe ne nàtsɔe aƒu gbe, elabena enyo na wò be nàbu wò ŋutinuwo dometɔ ɖeka wu be woatsɔ wò ame blibo la aƒu gbe ɖe dzomavɔ me. (Geenna g1067)
If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. (Geenna g1067)
30 Nenema ke ne wò nuɖusie nana be nèwɔa nu vɔ̃ la, lãe ne nàtsɔ aƒu gbe, elabena enyo be nàbu wò ŋutinuwo dometɔ ɖeka wu be woatsɔ wò ame blibo la aƒu gbe ɖe dzomavɔ me.” (Geenna g1067)
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to depart into hell. (Geenna g1067)
31 “Wogblɔ hã be, ‘Ne ŋutsu aɖe di be yeagbe srɔ̃a la, nena srɔ̃gbegbalẽe.’
It has also been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’
32 Ke nye la mele egblɔm na mi be, nenye be nyɔnu aɖe mewɔ ahasi o, gake srɔ̃a gbee, eye wòyi ɖaɖe ŋutsu bubu la, ekema ŋutsu lae na wòwɔ ahasi, eye ŋutsu si agaɖe nenem nyɔnu sia hã wɔ ahasi.”
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, brings adultery upon her. And he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’
34 gake nye ya, mele egblɔm na mi be, migata nu kura o, elabena ne ègblɔ be meta Dziƒo la, èdze agɔ, elabena dziƒoe nye Mawu ƒe nɔƒe.
But I tell you not to swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;
35 Eye ne èta Anyigba la, edze agɔ ake, elabena anyigbae nye eƒe afɔɖodzinu. Nenema ke migagblɔ be meta ‘Yerusalem’ hã o, elabena Yerusalem nye Fiagã la ƒe du.
or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
36 Mègagblɔ be meta ‘Nye ta’ gɔ̃ hã o, elabena màte ŋu atrɔ wò ɖakui ɖeka pɛ hã wòafu alo anyɔ o.
Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
37 Kpuie ko la, mina miaƒe ‘Ɛ̃’ nanye ‘Ɛ̃’, eye ‘O’ nanye ‘O’; nu sia nu si miagblɔ wu esia la tso vɔ̃ɖitɔ la gbɔ.”
Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.
38 “Miese wogblɔ be, ‘Ŋku ɖe ŋku teƒe, eye aɖu ɖe aɖu teƒe.’
You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
39 Ke nye ya mele egblɔm na mi be, migaɖo vɔ̃, teƒe na vɔ̃ o! Nenye be ame aɖe ƒo ɖusitome na wò la, trɔ tome evelia hã nɛ be wòaƒo.
But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
40 Ne ame aɖe akplɔ wò ayi ʋɔnui, be yeaxɔ wò awutewui la, na wòaxɔ wò dziwui hã kpe ɖe eŋu.
if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well;
41 Ne ame aɖe azi dziwò be nàzɔ mɔ kple ye kilomita ɖeka la, zɔ kplii kilomita eve.
and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
42 Na nu ame si le nu biam wò la, eye mègatrɔ megbe de ame si le didim be yeado nu le asiwò la o.
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
43 “Miese wogblɔ be, ‘Lɔ̃ hawòvi, eye nàlé fu wò ketɔ.’
You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’
44 Ke nye la, mele egblɔm na mi bena, milɔ̃ miaƒe futɔwo, eye mido gbe ɖa ɖe ame siwo tia mia yome la ta,
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 be mianye mia Fofo si le dziƒo la ƒe viwo, ame si naa eƒe ɣe dzena na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo kple ame nyuiwo, eye wòdɔa tsi be wòadza ɖe ame dzɔdzɔewo kple ame madzɔmadzɔwo siaa dzi.
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 Ne mielɔ̃a ame siwo lɔ̃a mi ɖeɖe ko la, wɔwui ka miewɔ? Ɖe nudzɔlawo gɔ̃ hã mewɔna nenema oa?
If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same?
47 Ne miedoa gbe na mia nɔviwo ɖeɖe ko la, wɔwui ka wɔm miele wu ame bubuwo? Ɖe trɔ̃subɔlawo gɔ̃ hã mewɔna nenema oa?
And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
