< Mateo 20 >
1 Lo bubu aɖe si Yesu do le dziƒofiaɖuƒe la ŋu lae nye esi: “Agbletɔ aɖe do go gbe ɖeka ŋdi aɖe be yeadi apaɖilawo woawɔ dɔ le yeƒe waingble me.
For the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a house, who went out early in the morning to get workers into his vine-garden.
2 Eƒo asi kple apaɖilawo, eye wolɔ̃ be wòaxe sidi wuieve na ame sia ame ŋkeke ɖeka. Ale dɔwɔlawo yi waingble la me ɖadze dɔa gɔme.
And when he had made an agreement with the workmen for a penny a day, he sent them into his vine-garden.
3 “Le gaƒoƒo ʋɛ aɖewo megbe la, ekpɔ ame aɖewo le asi me siwo menɔ dɔ aɖeke wɔm o.
And he went out about the third hour, and saw others in the market-place doing nothing;
4 Ekplɔ woawo hã yi eƒe agble la me, eye wòdo ŋugbe na wo be yeaxe ga home si dze la na wo ne ŋkeke la wu nu.
And he said to them, Go into the vine-garden with the others, and whatever is right I will give you. And they went to work.
5 Le ŋdɔ ga wuieve me la, egaɖo ame bubuwo hã ɖe agble la me, eye anɔ abe ga etɔ̃ me ene la, egaɖo ame bubuwo hã ɖa nenema ke.
Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did the same.
6 “Ke esi wòƒo ɣetrɔ ga atɔ̃ la, egayi dua me, eye wògakpɔ ame aɖewo woli dɔ aɖeke mawɔmawɔe. Ebia wo be, ‘Nu ka ta mieli alea ko dɔ aɖeke mawɔmawɔe ŋkeke blibo la ɖo?’
And about the eleventh hour he went out and saw others doing nothing; and he says to them, Why are you here all the day doing nothing?
7 “Woɖo eŋu nɛ be, ‘Ame aɖeke meva tsɔ mí be míawɔ dɔ na ye o.’ “Agbletɔ la gblɔ na wo be, ‘Ekema miyi nye agble me, eye miakpe ɖe ame siwo le dɔ wɔm le afi ma la ŋu.’
They say to him, Because no man has given us work. He says to them, Go in with the rest, into the vine-garden.
8 “Azɔ esi fiẽ ɖo la, agbletɔ la yɔ eƒe gadzikpɔla be neva xe fe na dɔwɔlawo, eye wòadze egɔme tso ame siwo wòɖo ɖe agble la me mamlɛa la dzi.
And when evening came, the lord of the vine-garden said to his manager, Let the workers come, and give them their payment, from the last to the first.
9 Gadzikpɔla la yɔ ame siwo yi agble la me le ga atɔ̃ me la vɛ, eye wòxe ŋkeke ɖeka blibo ƒe fetu na wo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe.
And when those men came who had gone to work at the eleventh hour, they were given every man a penny.
10 Esia ta esi wòyɔ ame siwo va gbã la vɛ la, woawo nɔ bubum be yewoƒe fetu akɔ wu ame siwo va le ga atɔ̃ me la tɔ, gake kpao; ga home ma sinu ke ko wòxe na woawo hã.
Then those who came first had the idea that they would get more; and they, like the rest, were given a penny.
11 “Ame gbãtɔwo he nya ɖe agbletɔ la ŋu vevie gblɔ be,
And when they got it, they made a protest against the master of the house,
12 ‘Ame siawo la, gaƒoƒo ɖeka pɛ ko wowɔ dɔ, ke nu ka ta woxɔ fetu wòsɔ kple mí ame siwo wɔ dɔ ŋkeke blibo la katã le ŋdɔ sesẽ nu la tɔ ɖo?’
Saying, These last have done only one hour's work, and you have made them equal to us, who have undergone the hard work of the day and the burning heat.
13 “Agbletɔa gblɔ na wo be, ‘Nɔviwo, nyemedze agɔ le mia dzi o; ɖe menye miawo ŋutɔe lɔ̃ be ame sia ame axɔ sidi wuieve si nye ŋkeke ɖeka ƒe fetu oa?
But he in answer said to one of them, Friend, I do you no wrong: did you not make an agreement with me for a penny?
14 Mexee na mi, eya ta mitsɔe miadzo. Nye ŋutɔe lɔ̃ xe ga home ma ke na ame sia ame.
Take what is yours, and go away; it is my pleasure to give to this last, even as to you.
15 Ɖe mɔ meli be be ame naxe ga home si dze eŋu la na nɔvia? Ɖe wòle be miado dziku, elabena mewɔ dɔmenyoa?’
Have I not the right to do as seems good to me in my house? or is your eye evil, because I am good?
16 Esia ta gbãtɔwo azu mamlɛtɔwo eye mamlɛtɔwo azu gbãtɔwo.”
So the last will be first, and the first last.
17 Yesu kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo dze mɔ ɖo ta Yerusalem, eye esi wole mɔa dzi la, eɖe kpɔ nusrɔ̃la wuieveawo,
And when Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples on one side, and said to them,
18 hegblɔ nu siwo ava dzɔ ɖe edzi nenye be woɖo Yerusalem la na wo. Egblɔ na wo be, “Woadem asi na Yudatɔwo ƒe nunɔlagãwo kple sefialawo, eye woatso kufia nam.
See, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be given into the hands of the chief priests and scribes; and they will give orders for him to be put to death,
And will give him up to the Gentiles to be made sport of and to be whipped and to be put to death on the cross: and the third day he will come back again from the dead.
20 Eva eme be Zebedeo ƒe vi eveawo dada va Yesu gbɔ, dze klo ɖe eƒe akɔme, eye wòbiae be wòawɔ dɔmenyo tɔxɛ aɖe na ye.
Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, giving him worship and making a request of him.
21 Yesu biae be, “Nu ka dim nèle be mawɔ na wò?” Nyɔnu la ɖo eŋu be, “Medi be nàna be vinye ŋutsuvi eve siawo nanɔ fiazikpui eve dzi le wò ɖusi kple mia me le wò fiaɖuƒe la me.”
And he said to her, What is your desire? She says to him, Let my two sons be seated, the one at your right hand, and the other at your left, in your kingdom.
22 Yesu gblɔ nɛ be, “Mènya nu si biam nèle la o!” Azɔ etrɔ ɖe Yakobo kple Yohanes ŋu, eye wòbia wo be, “Miawo hã, miate ŋu anɔ te ɖe fu dziŋɔ si kpe ge mala kpuie la nua?” Woɖo eŋu be, “Ɛ̃, míate ŋui.”
But Jesus made answer and said, You have no idea what you are requesting. Are you able to take of the cup which I am about to take?
23 Yesu gblɔ na wo be, “Anɔ eme be miate ŋu akpe fu dziŋɔ si kpe ge mala la, gake anyinɔnɔ ɖe nye ɖusi kple mia me ya la, ŋusẽ mele asinye be matɔ asi ame siwo anɔ afi ma la dzi o. Fofonye ŋutɔ tia ame siwo anɔ teƒe siawo la da ɖi xoxo.”
They say to him, We are able. He says to them, Truly, you will take of my cup: but to be seated at my right hand and at my left is not for me to give, but it is for those for whom my Father has made it ready.
24 Dɔ me ve nusrɔ̃la ewo mamlɛawo ŋutɔ esi wose nu si nɔvi eveawo, Yakobo kple Yohanes, yi ɖabia Yesu la.
And when it came to the ears of the ten, they were angry with the two brothers.
25 Ke Yesu yɔ wo katã ƒo ƒu ɖe eɖokui gbɔ hegblɔ na wo be, “Le dzimaxɔsetɔwo dome la, fiawo ɖua wo teviwo dzi kple asi sesẽ, eye nenema ke dɔnunɔlawo hã ɖua fia ɖe wo teviwo dzi.
But Jesus said to them, You see that the rulers of the Gentiles are lords over them, and their great ones have authority over them.
26 Nyemedi be nenem nu sia nanɔ miawo hã dome o. Ame si le mia dome si di be yeanye mia nunɔla la, eyae wòle be wòanye miaƒe subɔla,
Let it not be so among you: but if anyone has a desire to become great among you, let him be your servant;
27 eye ame si di be yeanye gbãtɔ le mi katã dome la, eyae wòle be wòanye miaƒe subɔla anɔ dɔ tsɔm na mi.
And whoever has a desire to be first among you, let him take the lowest place:
28 Ele be miaƒe nuwɔna nanɔ abe tɔnye ene, elabena Nye Amegbetɔ Vi la, nyemeva be woasubɔm o, ke boŋ ɖe meva be masubɔ amewo, eye matsɔ nye agbe ana ɖe ame geɖewo ƒe ɖeɖekpɔkpɔ ta.”
Even as the Son of man did not come to have servants, but to be a servant, and to give his life for the salvation of men.
29 Esi Yesu kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo do go le Yeriko dua me dzo yina la, ameha gã aɖe kplɔ wo ɖo.
And when they were going out from Jericho, a great number went after him.
30 Ŋkuagbãtɔ eve nɔ anyi ɖe mɔ si dzi wòto va yina la to. Esi wose be Yesu gbɔna mɔ ma dzi to ge ava yi la, wode asi ɣlidodo me bobobo nɔ gbɔgblɔm be, “Aƒetɔ, Fia David ƒe Vi, kpɔ nublanui na mí!”
And two blind men seated by the wayside, when they had the news that Jesus was going by, gave a loud cry, saying, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
31 Amewo blu ɖe wo ta be woazi ɖoɖoe, gake kpao; fifi kura gɔ̃ woƒe gbe ganɔ dzi dem ɖe edzi wu be, “Aƒetɔ David vi la, kpɔ nublanui na mi.”
And the people gave them orders to be quiet; but they went on crying even louder, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
32 Yesu tɔ, eye wòyɔ wo vɛ hebia wo be, “Nu ka miedi be mawɔ na mi?”
And Jesus, stopping, sent for them, and said, What would you have me do to you?
33 Woɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Aƒetɔ, míedi be míaƒe ŋkuwo naʋu míakpɔ nu.”
They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be open.
34 Woƒe nu wɔ nublanui na Yesu ŋutɔ, eya ta eka asi woƒe ŋkuawo ŋu. Ŋkuawo ʋu enumake, eye ameawo de asi nukpɔkpɔ me. Ale woawo hã kplɔ Yesu ɖo kple dzidzɔ gã aɖe.
And Jesus, being moved with pity, put his fingers on their eyes: and straight away they were able to see, and went after him.
