< Mateo 19 >
And it happened that, when Jesus had completed these words, he moved away from Galilee, and he arrived within the borders of Judea, across the Jordan.
2 Ameha gã aɖe kplɔe ɖo, eye wòda gbe le dɔnɔ geɖewo ŋu.
And great crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Farisitɔ aɖewo va egbɔ be yewoadoe kpɔ. Wobiae be, “Ele se nu be ŋutsu nagbe srɔ̃a le susu ɖe sia ɖe ta?”
And the Pharisees approached him, testing him, and saying, “Is it lawful for a man to separate from his wife, no matter what the cause?”
4 Eɖo eŋu na wo be, “Ɖe miexlẽe kpɔ be le gɔmedzedzea me la, Wɔla la wɔ wo ŋutsu kple nyɔnu o mahã?
And he said to them in response, “Have you not read that he who made man from the beginning, made them male and female?” And he said:
5 Eya ta ŋutsu agblẽ fofoa kple dadaa ɖi alé ɖe srɔ̃a ŋu ɖikaa, eye wo kple eve la woazu ŋutilã ɖeka.
“For this reason, a man shall separate from father and mother, and he shall cling to his wife, and these two shall become one flesh.
And so, now they are not two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate.”
7 Tete wobia Yesu be, “Ekema nu ka ŋuti Mose de se be ŋutsu nana srɔ̃gbegbalẽ srɔ̃a, eye wòagbee mahã?”
They said to him, “Then why did Moses command him to give a bill of divorce, and to separate?”
8 Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Mose ɖe mɔ na mi be miagbe mia srɔ̃wo, elabena miaƒe dzi me sẽ, gake menɔ alea le gɔmedzedzea me o,
He said to them: “Although Moses permitted you to separate from your wives, due to the hardness of your heart, it was not that way from the beginning.
9 eye mele egblɔm na mi kple kakaɖedzi be, ame si gbe srɔ̃a, eye menye ɖe ahasiwɔwɔ ta o, ke boŋ le susu bubu aɖe ta, eye wòyi ɖaɖe nyɔnu bubu la, ewɔ ahasi.”
And I say to you, that whoever will have separated from his wife, except because of fornication, and who will have married another, commits adultery, and whoever will have married her who has been separated, commits adultery.”
10 Yesu ƒe nusrɔ̃lawo gblɔ nɛ be, “Nenye be wòle alea la, anyo wu be ŋutsu maɖe srɔ̃ o.”
His disciples said to him, “If such is the case for a man with a wife, then it is not expedient to marry.”
11 Yesu gblɔ na wo be, “Menye ame sia amee ase nya sia gɔme o, negbe ame siwo ŋu Mawu kpe ɖo la ko,
And he said to them: “Not everyone is able to grasp this word, but only those to whom it has been given.
12 elabena wodzi ame aɖewo wonye ame tatawo tso dzɔdzɔme; ame bubuwo la, ame aɖewoe wɔ wo wozu nenema be womaɖe srɔ̃ o. Ke ame aɖewo gbea srɔ̃ɖeɖe le dziƒofiaɖuƒe la ta. Ame si lɔ̃ la, nexɔ nye nyawo.”
For there are chaste persons who were born so from their mother’s womb, and there are chaste persons who have been made so by men, and there are chaste persons who have made themselves chaste for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever is able to grasp this, let him grasp it.”
13 Dzila aɖewo kplɔ wo vi suewo va Yesu gbɔ be wòada asi ɖe wo dzi, eye wòado gbe ɖa ɖe wo ta. Ke nusrɔ̃lawo nya wo be womegaɖe fu na Aƒetɔ la o.
Then they brought to him little children, so that he would place his hands upon them and pray. But the disciples rebuked them.
14 Gake Yesu gblɔ be, “Mina ɖevi suewo nava gbɔnye, eye migaxe mɔ na wo o, elabena woawo tɔe nye dziƒofiaɖuƒe la.”
Yet truly, Jesus said to them: “Allow the little children to come to me, and do not choose to prohibit them. For the kingdom of heaven is among such as these.”
15 Ale wòtsɔ eƒe asiwo da ɖe wo dzi, eye wòyra wo hafi dzo.
And when he had imposed his hands upon them, he went away from there.
16 Ame aɖe hã va Yesu gbɔ kple biabia sia be, “Nufiala, nu nyui ka mawɔ be manyi agbe mavɔ ƒe dome mahã?” (aiōnios )
And behold, someone approached and said to him, “Good Teacher, what good should I do, so that I may have eternal life?” (aiōnios )
17 Yesu gblɔ nɛ be, “Ne èyɔm be Aƒetɔ nyui la, ekema Mawue nye ema yɔm nèle, elabena ame ɖeka koe li woayɔ be ame nyui, eye ame siae nye Mawu. Le wò biabia la ŋuti la, mele egblɔm na wò be àte ŋu ayi dziƒo nenye be èwɔ ɖe Mawu ƒe seawo dzi.”
And he said to him: “Why do you question me about what is good? One is good: God. But if you wish to enter into life, observe the commandments.”
18 Ŋutsu la gabiae be, “Se kawoe?” Yesu ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Woawoe nye, mègawu ame o; mègawɔ ahasi o; megafi fi o; mègada alakpa o;
He said to him, “Which?” And Jesus said: “You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony.
19 bu fofowò kple dawò; lɔ̃ hawòvi abe wò ŋutɔ ɖokuiwò ene!”
Honor your father and your mother. And, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
The young man said to him: “All these I have kept from my childhood. What is still lacking for me?”
Jesus said to him: “If you are willing to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and then you will have treasure in heaven. And come, follow me.”
And when the young man had heard this word, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.
23 Yesu trɔ ɖe eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo ŋu gblɔ na wo be, “Nyateƒe, asesẽ na kesinɔtɔwo ŋutɔ be woage ɖe dziƒofiaɖuƒe la me.
Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, I say to you, that the wealthy shall enter with difficulty into the kingdom of heaven.
24 Megale egblɔm na mi be, anɔ bɔbɔe na kposɔ be wòato abui ƒe vo me tsɔ wu be kesinɔtɔ nage ɖe mawufiaɖuƒe la me.”
And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for the wealthy to enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
25 Ke esi nusrɔ̃lawo se nya sia la, woƒe nu ku, eye wobia be, “Ke ame ka gɔ̃ ate ŋu akpɔ ɖeɖe le xexe sia me?”
And upon hearing this, the disciples wondered greatly, saying: “Then who will be able to be saved?”
But Jesus, gazing at them, said to them: “With men, this is impossible. But with God, all things are possible.”
27 Petro gblɔ nɛ be, “Míawo la, míegblẽ nu sia nu ɖi hedze yowòme. Fetu ka míakpɔ?”
Then Peter responded by saying to him: “Behold, we have left behind all things, and we have followed you. So then, what will be for us?”
28 Yesu ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Vavã mele egblɔm be, nenye be Nye, Amegbetɔ Vi la, menɔ anyi ɖe nye fiazikpui dzi le nye fiaɖuƒe me le ŋutikɔkɔe gã me la, ekema miawo hã mianɔ fiazikpui wuieve dzi, adrɔ̃ ʋɔnu Israel ƒe to wuieveawo,
And Jesus said to them: “Amen I say to you, that at the resurrection, when the Son of man shall sit on the seat of his majesty, those of you who have followed me shall also sit on twelve seats, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 eye ame sia ame si gblẽ eƒe aƒe, nɔviŋutsuwo, nɔvia nyɔnuwo, fofoa, dadaa, srɔ̃a, viawo alo eƒe nunɔamesiwo ɖi hedze yonyeme la, akpɔ wo ɖe edzi teƒe alafa ɖeka, eye wòanyi agbe mavɔ ƒe dome. (aiōnios )
And anyone who has left behind home, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for the sake of my name, shall receive one hundred times more, and shall possess eternal life. (aiōnios )
30 Ke ame geɖe siwo nye gbãtɔwo fifia la, azu mamlɛtɔwo, eye ame siwo nye mamlɛtɔwo la, azu gbãtɔwo.”
But many of those who are first shall be last, and the last shall be first.”
