< Mateo 12 >

1 Gbe ɖeka la, Yesu kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo zɔ to bligble aɖewo me yina afi aɖe. Gbe ma gbe nye Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke. Dɔ nɔ nusrɔ̃lawo wum ɣe ma ɣi, eya ta woŋe bli aɖewo, eye woklẽ wo heɖu.
About that time Jesus passed on the Sabbath through the wheatfields; and His disciples became hungry, and began to gather ears of wheat and eat them.
2 Farisitɔ aɖewo kpɔ wo, eye wohe nya ɖe Yesu ŋu gblɔ be, “Wò nusrɔ̃lawo wɔ nu siwo mele se nu o la le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke la dzi.”
But the Pharisees saw it and said to Him, "Look! your disciples are doing what the Law forbids them to do on the Sabbath."
3 Ke Yesu bia wo be, “Miexlẽ nu si Fia David kple eŋutimewo wɔ esi dɔ wu wo la oa?
"Have you never read," He replied, "what David did when he and his men were hungry?
4 Eya kple eŋutimewo yi gbedoxɔ me, eye woɖu abolo tɔxɛ si mele se nu be woaɖu o, negbe nunɔlawo ko naɖu la.
how he entered the House of God and ate the Presented Loaves, which it was not lawful for him or his men to eat, nor for any except the priests?
5 Miexlẽe le Mose ƒe Segbalẽ la me kpɔ be nunɔla siwo le dɔ wɔm le gbedoxɔ me la gblẽa Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke ƒe kɔ la me le gbedoxɔ me gake nu vɔ̃ mele wo ŋu oa?
And have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the Temple break the Sabbath without incurring guilt?
6 Le nyateƒe me la, ame aɖe le afi sia si de ŋgɔ boo wu gbedoxɔ sia!
But I tell you that there is here that which is greater than the Temple.
7 Mawunya aɖe gblɔ be, ‘Nublanuikpɔkpɔ dim mele tso mia gbɔ, ke menye miaƒe vɔsawo o.’ Ne ɖe miese mawunya sia gɔme la, anye ne miahe nya ɖe ame siwo medze agɔ o la ŋu o,
And if you knew what this means, 'It is mercy I desire, not sacrifice', you would not have condemned those who are without guilt.
For the Son of Man is the Lord of the Sabbath."
9 Esia megbe la, eyi Yudatɔwo ƒe ƒuƒoƒe,
Departing thence He went to their synagogue,
10 eye wòkpɔ ame aɖe si tsitsi lé asi na la le afi ma. Farisitɔ siwo nɔ afi ma la biae enumake be, “Ele se la nu be woada gbe le ame ŋu le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke la dzia?” Wonɔ mɔ kpɔm be aɖo eŋu be “Ɛ̃,” ne yewoatsɔ nya ɖe eŋu.
where there was a man with a shrivelled arm. And they questioned Him, "Is it right to cure people on the Sabbath?" Their intention was to bring a charge against Him.
11 Ke Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Nenye be wò alẽ ge ɖe vudo me le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke dzi ɖe, màɖee le eme oa? Àɖee le eme godoo!
"Which of you is there," He replied, "who, if he has but a single sheep and it falls into a hole on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?
12 Ke ɖe amegbetɔ ƒe agbe mele vevie wu alẽ tɔ oa? Eya ta ele se nu vavã be woawɔ dɔ nyui le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkekea dzi.”
Is not a man, however, far superior to a sheep? Therefore it is right to do good on the Sabbath."
13 Azɔ egblɔ na ame si tsitsi lé asi na la be, “Dzɔ wò asi,” eye esi wòdzɔe la, eƒe asi gaɖɔ ɖo abe evelia ene.
Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your arm." And he stretched it out, and it was restored quite sound like the other.
14 Le nu si Yesu wɔ ta la, Farisitɔwo yɔ takpekpe kpata aɖe be yewoawɔ ɖoɖo ɖe ale si yewoawɔ alée awu ŋuti.
But the Pharisees after leaving the synagogue consulted together against Him, how they might destroy Him.
15 Yesu nya susu vɔ̃ si ɖom Farisitɔawo nɔ, eya ta edzo le ƒuƒoƒe la, ke ame geɖewo kplɔe ɖo hoo, eye wòda gbe le dɔnɔ siwo katã nɔ wo dome la ŋu.
Aware of this, Jesus departed elsewhere; and a great number of people followed Him, all of whom He cured.
But He gave them strict injunctions not to blaze abroad His doings,
17 Esia wu Nyagblɔɖila Yesaya ƒe nya si wògblɔ ɖi tso eŋuti la nu be,
that those words of the Prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled,
18 “Kpɔ ɖa esiae nye nye dɔla si metia, ame si melɔ̃ eye mekpɔa ŋudzedze le, matsɔ nye gbɔgbɔ kɔ ɖe eya amea dzi ne woadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu dzɔdzɔe na dukɔwo.
"This is My servant whom I have chosen, My dearly loved One in whom My soul takes pleasure. I will put My spirit upon Him, and He will announce justice to the nations.
19 Mewɔa dzre alo doa ɣli o, eye mèle eƒe gbe se ge le ablɔwo dzi hã o!
He will not wrangle or raise His voice, nor will His voice be heard in the broadways.
20 Mewɔa fu ame gblɔewo alo tsia woƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ suetɔ gɔ̃ hã nu o. Le eƒe dziɖuɖu mamlɛtɔ me la, atsi dzrehehe ɖe sia ɖe nu,
A crushed reed He will not utterly break, nor will He quench the still smouldering wick, until He has led on Justice to victory.
21 eye eƒe ŋkɔ anye xexea me katã ƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ.”
And on His name shall the nations rest their hopes."
22 Azɔ wokplɔ ame aɖe si me gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ le, eye wònye ŋkuagbãtɔ kple aɖetututɔ la va Yesu gbɔe, eye wòda gbe le eŋu ale be wòte ŋu nɔ nu ƒom henɔ nu kpɔm nyuie hã.
At that time a demoniac was brought to Him, blind and dumb; and He cured him, so that the dumb man could speak and see.
23 Nukunu sia wɔ moya na ameha la ale gbegbe be wodo ɣli gblɔ be, “Alo ame siae nye David ƒe Vi la?”
And the crowds of people were all filled with amazement and said, "Can this be the Son of David?"
24 Esi Farisitɔwo se nukunu si Yesu wɔ la, wogblɔ le wo ɖokuiwo me be, “Ame sia tea ŋu nyaa gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ le amewo me to Belzebul si nye gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo ƒe fia la ƒe ŋusẽ me.”
The Pharisees heard it and said, "This man only expels demons by the power of Baal-zebul, the Prince of demons."
25 Yesu nya nu si gblɔm wonɔ, eya ta eɖo eŋu na wo be, “Fiaɖuƒe si ma ɖe akpa eve, eye wotsi tsitre ɖe wo nɔewo ŋu la azu aƒedo, eye du alo aƒe si ma hetsi tsitre ɖe eya ŋutɔ ɖokui ŋu la agbã.
Knowing their thoughts He said to them, "Every kingdom in which civil war has raged suffers desolation; and every city or house in which there is internal strife will be brought low.
Aleke eƒe fiaɖuƒe la anɔ te mahã?
And if Satan is expelling Satan, he has begun to make war on himself: how therefore shall his kingdom last?
27 Ne miele gbɔgblɔm be mele gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo nyam kple Belzebul ƒe ŋusẽ ɖe, ŋusẽ ka miaƒe amewo ya zãna ne wole gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo nyam?
And if it is by Baal-zebul's power that I expel the demons, by whose power do your disciples expel them? They therefore shall be your judges.
28 Nenye be Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔe metsɔ le gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo nyam la, ekema minyae be mawufiaɖuƒe la va ɖo mia dome.
But if it is by the power of the Spirit of God that I expel the demons, it is evident that the Kingdom of God has come upon you.
Ele nɛ be wòabla ŋusẽtɔ ma gbã, ekema ate ŋu aha eƒe aƒemenuwo.
Again, how can any one enter the house of a strong man and carry off his goods, unless first of all he masters and secures the strong man: then he will ransack his house.
"The man who is not with me is against me, and he who is not gathering with me is scattering abroad.
31 “Eya ŋuti mele egblɔm na mi be woatsɔ nu vɔ̃ sia nu vɔ̃ kple busunya sia busunya ake amewo, ke busunyagbɔgblɔ ɖe Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ŋu ya la, womatsɔe ake o.
This is why I tell you that men may find forgiveness for every other sin and impious word, but that for impious speaking against the Holy Spirit they shall find no forgiveness.
32 Ne ame aɖe agblɔ nya ɖe Amegbetɔ Vi la ŋuti la, woatsɔe akee, ke ne ame aɖe agblɔ nya ɖe Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ŋuti la, womatsɔe akee le agbe sia kple agbe si le vava ge la me o. (aiōn g165)
And whoever shall speak against the Son of Man may obtain forgiveness; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, neither in this nor in the coming age shall he obtain forgiveness." (aiōn g165)
33 “Wotsɔa ati ɖe sia ɖe ƒe kutsetse tsɔna dzea sii. Ati nyui la, ku nyui wòtsena, eye ati manyomanyo hã tsea ku manyomanyo.
"Either grant the tree to be wholesome and its fruit wholesome, or the tree poisonous and its fruit poisonous; for the tree is known by its fruit.
34 Mi, da ƒe dzidzimeviwo! Aleke mi ame vɔ̃ɖi siawo miate ŋu agblɔ nya nyui aɖee?
O vipers' brood, how can you speak what is good when you are evil? For it is from the overflow of the heart that the mouth speaks.
35 Ame nyui ƒe nuƒo fiana be nu nyui wɔwɔ yɔ eƒe dzi me. Ke ame vɔ̃ɖi ya ƒe dzi me yɔna fũu kple nu vɔ̃, eye eƒe nuƒo ɖea vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖinyenye sia fiana.
A good man from his good store produces good things, and a bad man from his bad store produces bad things.
36 Mele egblɔm na mi kple kakaɖedzi be, mia dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe ana akɔnta le nya vlo ɖe sia ɖe si ado tso eƒe nu me la ŋu le ʋɔnudrɔ̃gbe la,
But I tell you that for every careless word that men shall speak they will be held accountable on the day of Judgement.
37 eya ta minyae be nya si ado tso miaƒe nu me fifia lae afia afi si mianɔ le ʋɔnudrɔ̃gbe la, eye eyae woatsɔ atso afia na mi loo, alo woatsɔ abu fɔ mi.”
For each of you by his words shall be justified, or by his words shall be condemned."
38 Tete Yudatɔwo ƒe agbalẽfialawo kple Farisitɔ aɖewo bia tso esi be, “Nufiala, míedi dzesi kple nukunu aɖe tso gbɔwò.”
Then He was accosted by some of the Scribes and of the Pharisees who said, "Teacher, we wish to see a sign given by you."
39 Yesu ɖo eŋu gblɔ na wo be, “Dzidzime vɔ̃ɖi si wɔa ahasi le dzesi kple nukunu dim. Ke ɖeke meli wu Nyagblɔɖila Yona ƒe dzesi la o,
"Wicked and faithless generation!" He replied, "they clamour for a sign, but none shall be given to them except the sign of the Prophet Jonah.

For just as Jonah was three days in the sea-monster's belly, so will the Son of Man be three days in the heart of the earth.
There will stand up men of Nineveh at the Judgement together with the present generation, and will condemn it; because they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and mark! there is One greater than Jonah here.
The Queen of the south will awake at the Judgement together with the present generation, and will condemn it; because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and mark! there is One greater than Solomon here.
43 “Ne gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ aɖe do go le ame aɖe me la, eyia gbedzi, afi si wòtsana le ɣeyiɣi aɖe sinu nɔa sitsoƒe dim, ke ne mekpɔ ɖeke o la,
"No sooner however has the foul spirit gone out of the man, then he roams about in places where there is no water, seeking rest but finding none.

Then he says, 'I will return to my house that I left;' and he comes and finds it unoccupied, swept clean, and in good order.
45 Ekema gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ la yina ɖayɔa gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ adre bubu siwo vɔ̃ɖi wui la kpena ɖe eɖokui ŋu, wogena ɖe amea me. Esia wɔnɛ be ame sia ƒe nɔnɔme gblẽna ɖe edzi wu tsã. Alea tututu wòanɔ na dzidzime vɔ̃ɖi siae.”
Then he goes and brings back with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they come in and dwell there; and in the end that man's condition becomes worse than it was at first. So will it be also with the present wicked generation."
46 Esi Yesu ganɔ nu ƒom na ameha la, dadaa kple nɔviŋutsuwo nɔ aƒea godo, eye wonɔ didim be yewoaƒo nu kplii.
While He was still addressing the people His mother and His brothers were standing on the edge of the crowd desiring to speak to Him.

So some one told Him, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, and desire to speak to you."

And pointing to His disciples He added, "See here are my mother and my brothers.

To obey my Father who is in Heaven--that is to be my brother and my sister and my mother."
