< Mateo 11 >
1 Esi wòde se na nusrɔ̃la wuieveawo alea vɔ megbe la, Yesu ŋutɔ dze mɔ nɔ mawunya gblɔm le duwo me nɔ yiyim abe ale si wòɖoe da ɖi ene.
And so it was, when Jesus finished directing His twelve disciples, that He moved on from there to teach and preach in their towns.
2 Yohanes, ame si nɔ gaxɔ me le ɣeyiɣi siawo me la se nukunu gbogbo siwo katã Kristo la nɔ wɔwɔm. Esia ta edɔ eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo ɖo ɖe Yesu gbɔ be woabiae be,
But John, hearing in prison about the works of the Messiah, sent two of his disciples
3 “Wòe nye ame si gbɔna loo, alo ɖe míakpɔ mɔ na ame bubu aɖea?”
to say to Him, “Are you the Coming One, or do we look for another?”
By way of answer Jesus said to them: “Go and report to John the things that you hear and see:
5 ŋkuagbãtɔwo le nu kpɔm, tekunɔwo le azɔli zɔm, eye anyidzelawo ŋuti le kɔkɔm, tokunɔwo le nu sem, ame kukuwo le tsitre tsim, eye wole nyanyui la gblɔm na ame dahewo.

6 Migblɔ nya sia hã nɛ be, ‘Woayra ame siwo xɔa dzinye sena ɖikeke manɔmee.’”
And, blessed be whoever is not offended at Me!”
7 Esi Yohanes ƒe nusrɔ̃lawo nɔ dzodzom la, Yesu dze nuƒoƒo na ameha la tso Yohanes ŋu be, “Nu ka miedo go yi kpɔkpɔ ge le gbedzi? Aƒla si ya le ƒoƒoma?
So as they departed Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see, a reed shaken by the wind?
8 Ne mele eme nenema o ɖe, nu ka miedo go yi kpɔkpɔ ge? Ame si do awu nyuiwoa? Ao, ame siwo do awu nyuiwo la le fiasãwo me.
But what did you go out to see, a man clothed in soft garments? Actually, those who wear soft material are in kings' houses.
9 Ekema nu ka miedo go ɖakpɔ? Nyagblɔɖila aɖea? Ɛ̃, gake mele egblɔm na mi be ewu nyagblɔɖila gɔ̃ hã,
But really, what did you go out to see, a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and far more than a prophet.
10 Eyae nye ame si ŋu woƒo nu tsoe le mawunya me be, “‘Mele nye dɔla dɔ ge ɖa wòava do ŋgɔ na wò be, wòadzra wò mɔ la ɖo.’
For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way ahead of you.’
Assuredly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen a greater than John the Baptizer; but he who is least in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he.
But from the days of John the Baptizer until now the kingdom of the heavens is being aggressive and aggressive people are seizing upon it.

Ame siawo sɔ kple ɖevi siwo le fefe fem hele gbɔgblɔm na wo nɔewo be,
“But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in a marketplace and calling to their friends

and saying, ‘We played the flute for you and you did not dance; we mourned for you and you did not lament.’
18 Yohanes menoa wain teti hã o, eye wòtsia nu dɔna zi geɖe, gake miegblɔ be gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ le eme.
For John came neither eating nor drinking and they say, ‘He has a demon’;
19 Ke nye Amegbetɔ Vi la, meɖua nu, noa nu, eye miawo ke miegblɔ tso ŋunye be, ‘Nutsuɖula kple ahatsunolae wònye, eye wòdea ha kple nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo!’ Ke Mawu ƒe nunya tsoa afia na eɖokui to eƒe nuwɔnawo me.”
the Son of the Man came eating and drinking and they say, ‘Just look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Indeed, wisdom is vindicated by her children.”
20 Azɔ Yesu he nya ɖe du siwo me wòwɔ eƒe nukunu geɖewo le la ŋu, elabena wogbe be yewomaxɔ Mawu dzi se o.
Then He began to reproach the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent.
21 Egblɔ le wo ŋu be, “Baba na wò Korazin! Baba na wò Betsaida! Elabena ne Tiro kple Sidon duwo mee mewɔ nukunu siwo mewɔ le mia dome le la, anye ne ameawo trɔ dzime xoxoxo, anɔ akpanya kple afi me.
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the mighty works that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 Le nyateƒe me la, anɔ bɔbɔe na Sidon kple Tiro le ʋɔnudrɔ̃gbe la tsɔ wu mi!
So I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the Day of judgment than for you!
23 Eye mi Kapernaumtɔwo, ɖe woade bubu mia ŋuti le dziƒoa? Gbeɖe, woaɖo mi ɖe dzomavɔʋe la me, elabena ɖe wowɔ nukunu klitsu siwo wowɔ le mewò le Sodom la, ne womatsrɔ̃ dua o, ke boŋ anɔ anyi va se ɖe egbe. (Hadēs )
And you, Capernaum, ‘the one having been exalted to heaven’, you will be brought down to Hades! Because if the mighty works that were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs )
24 Ke mele egblɔm na mi be, anɔ bɔbɔe na Sodomnyigba le ʋɔnudrɔ̃gbe la tsɔ wu wò.”
So I say to you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the Day of judgment than for you.”
25 Le ɣeyiɣi sia me la, Yesu do gbe ɖa be, “Mekafu wò, O Fofo, dzi kple anyigba ƒe Aƒetɔ, be nèɣla nu siawo ɖe xexe sia me ƒe nunyala gãwo, eye nèɖee fia ame siwo xɔ dziwò se abe ɖeviwo ene la.
At that time Jesus reacted and said: “‘I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to ‘babes’.
26 Nyateƒe, Fofo, akpe na wò, elabena aleae nèdi be wòanɔ!”
Yes, Father, because thus it was good to You.’
“All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one really knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone really know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son may will to reveal Him.
28 “Mite va gbɔnye, mi ame siwo ŋu ɖeɖi te, eye agba le mia wum la, eye nye la mana miadzudzɔ.
