< Marko 8 >
1 Ameha gã aɖe gaƒo ƒu ɖe Yesu ŋu le teƒe aɖe gbe ɖeka, eye nuɖuɖu menɔ wo si woaɖu o. Yesu yɔ eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo, eye wògblɔ na wo be,
In those days, there being again a great multitude, and they having nothing to eat, he called the disciples to him, and saith to them,
2 “Ame siawo ƒe nu wɔ nublanui nam ŋutɔ, elabena ŋkeke etɔ̃e nye esi wole afi sia, naneke mele wo si woaɖu o.
I have compassion on the multitude, because they have remained with me now three days, and they have nothing to eat.
3 Ne meɖo wo ɖe aƒe me dɔmeɣii la, ŋuzi atsɔ wo le mɔa dzi, elabena wo dometɔ aɖewo tso didiƒe ke.”
And if I send them away fasting to their houses, they will faint on the road; and some of them have come from altar.
4 Nusrɔ̃lawo biae be, “Afi ka míakpɔ nuɖuɖu le na ameha gã sia le gbedzi afi sia?”
And his disciples answered him, Whence can ally one satisfy these men with bread here in a wilderness?
5 Ke Yesu hã bia wo be, “Abolo nenie le mia si?” Woɖo eŋu be, “Abolo adre.”
And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
6 Azɔ Yesu gblɔ na ameawo be woanɔ anyi ɖe gbea dzi. Etsɔ abolo adreawo, da akpe na Mawu ɖe wo ta, ŋe wo me kakɛkakɛ hetsɔ wo na nusrɔ̃lawo, eye wotsɔ wo ɖo ameawo ƒe akɔme.
And he ordered the multitude to lie down on the ground; and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.
7 Lã meme ʋe aɖewo hã nɔ wo si, eye Yesu da akpe ɖe woawo hã ta, eye wòna be nusrɔ̃lawo ma wo na ameawo.
And they had a few small fishes; and having blessed them, he set them before them.
8 Ameawo ɖu nu, ɖi ƒodo nyuie. Emegbe la, nusrɔ̃lawo ƒo abolo kakɛ siwo susɔ la nu ƒu, woyɔ kusi adre.
And they ate, and were filled; and they took up of the fragments that remained, seven baskets.
9 Ame siwo ɖu nua la ƒe xexlẽme anɔ akpe ene. Yesu do mɔ wo le nua ɖuɖu vɔ megbe.
And they were about four thousand; and he sent them away.
10 Le nu siawo megbe la, Yesu ge ɖe ʋu la me enumake kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo, wova ɖi go ɖe Dalmanuta nuto me.
And immediately going on board the boat with his disciples, he came into the region of Dalmanutha.
11 Farisitɔ siwo nɔ afi ma la se be Yesu va ɖo teƒea ale woyi be yewoahe nya kplii. Wova gblɔ nɛ be, “Wɔ dzesi aɖe tso dziƒo fifia míakpɔ, ekema míaxɔ dziwò se.”
And the Pharisees came out, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, trying him.
12 Yesu ɖe hũu le eƒe gbɔgbɔ la me hegblɔ na wo be, “Nyemawɔ naneke o. Vavã mele egblɔm na mi bena womele dzesi ɖeka na ge dzidzime sia o.”
And sighing deeply in his spirit, he saith, Why doth this generation seek for a sign? Truly do I say to you, A sign will not he given to this generation.
13 Yesu dzo le wo gbɔ, hetrɔ ge ɖe ʋu la me, eye wòtso ƒu la heyi ɖe go kemɛ dzi.
And leaving them, he again went on board and crossed to the other side.
14 Hafi woadzo la, nusrɔ̃lawo ŋlɔ be wometsɔ nuɖuɖu ɖe asi o, evɔ abolo ɖeka koe susɔ ɖe wo si.
And they had forgotten to take bread, and had not in the boat with them more than one loaf.
15 Esi wonɔ ƒua dzi yina la, Yesu xlɔ̃ nu wo be, “Mikpɔ nyuie le Herod kple Farisitɔwo ƒe amɔʋãnu la ŋu.”
And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and the leaven of Herod.
16 Nusrɔ̃lawo bia wo nɔewo be, “Nya sia gɔme ɖe?” Mlɔeba la, eva dze na wo abe nuɖuɖu si woŋlɔ be la ŋuti Yesu nɔ nu ƒom le ene.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
17 Yesu nya nya si gblɔm wonɔ, ale wògblɔ na wo be, “Gbeɖe, menye nu si bum miele la gblɔm mele o! Nu ka ta mietea ŋu sea nu gɔme o ɖo? Ɖe miaƒe dziwo ku atri nenema gbegbe be miate ŋu ase nu gɔme oa?
And knowing it, he saith to them, Why are ye reasoning, because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your mind still blinded?
18 Miaƒe ŋkuwo la, nu wobe miakpɔ kpli wo, ke nu ka ta miekpɔa nu o? Nu ka ta miate ŋu aʋu miaƒe towo ase nu o ɖo? Mieɖo ŋku naneke dzi kura oa?
Having eyes, do ye not see? and having ears, do ye not hear? And do ye not remember,
19 “Mieɖo ŋku edzi be menyi ame akpe atɔ̃ oa? Nuɖuɖu wuwlui kusi neni miefɔ emegbe?” Woɖo eŋu nɛ be “Wuieve sɔŋ.”
when I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, and how many baskets full of fragments ye took up? They say to him, Twelve.
20 Egabia wo be, “Esi menyi ame akpe ene kple abolo adre ɖe, abolo kusi nenie susɔ?” Woɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Kusi adre.”
When also the seven among the four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did ye take up? And they say, Seven.
21 Azɔ egblɔ na wo be, “Ɖe miaƒe dziwo ku atri nenema gbegbe be miate ŋu ase nu gɔme oa?”
And he said to them, Do ye not yet understand?
22 Azɔ esi wova ɖo Betsaida la, ame aɖewo kplɔ ŋkunɔ aɖe vɛ nɛ, eye woɖe kuku nɛ be wòayɔ dɔe.
And they come to Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him.
23 Yesu lé ŋkunɔ la ƒe alɔnu, eye wòkplɔe do goe le dua me. Eɖe ta ɖe eƒe ŋkuwo dzi, eye wòda asi ɖe wo dzi. Azɔ ebia ŋkunɔ la be, “Ète ŋu le nu kpɔma?”
And taking the blind man by the hand, he led him out of the village; and spitting on his eyes, and putting his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
24 Ame la tsa ŋku godoo, eye wòɖo eŋu be, “Ɛ̃, mele amewo kpɔm, gake nyemele wo kpɔm nyuie o, wodze abe atiwoe le zɔzɔm ene!”
And he looked up, and said, I can see men, for I see them as trees, walking.
25 Yesu gaɖo asi ame la ƒe ŋkuwo dzi ake, ke fifia la, eƒe ŋkuawo ʋu nyuie, eye wònɔ nu kpɔm nyuie.
Then he again put his hands on his eyes, and he saw clearly, and was restored, and saw all things distinctly.
26 Yesu ɖoe ɖe eƒe ƒometɔwo gbɔ, eye wòde se nɛ be, “Mègato kɔƒea me hafi nàyi o.”
And he sent him away to his house, saying, Go not into the village.
27 Yesu kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo dzo le Galilea heyi Kaisarea Filipi kɔƒewo me. Esi wozɔ yina la, Yesu bia nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Ame ka amewo bu be menye? Aleke wole gbɔgblɔm tso ŋunye?”
And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, saying to them, Who do men say that I am?
28 Nusrɔ̃lawo ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Ame aɖewo bu be Yohanes Mawutsidetanamelae nènye, eye bubuwo gblɔ be Eliya alo Mawu ƒe Nyagblɔɖila xoxoawo dometɔ ɖekae nènye gava dzɔ.”
And they answered him, saying, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, One of the prophets.
29 Ke ebia woawo ŋutɔ be, “Ame ka miawo ya miebu be menye?” Petro ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Wòe nye Kristo la!”
And he asked them, But who do ye say that I am? Peter answering saith to him, Thou art the Christ.
30 Ke Yesu de se na wo be womegana ame aɖeke nanya esia o!
And he strictly charged them to tell no one concerning him.
31 Azɔ Yesu de asi nufiafia wo me be edze be Amegbetɔ Vi la nakpe fu geɖewo. Egblɔ na wo be dumegãwo kple nunɔlagãwo agbe nu le ye gbɔ. Sefialawo hã agbe ye, eye woawu ye, gake yeagafɔ le ŋkeke etɔ̃ megbe.
And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be put to death, and after three days rise again;
32 Yesu ƒo nu na wo faa le nya siawo ŋu, meɣla naneke ɖe wo o, eya ta Petro yɔe ɖe kpɔe heka mo nɛ be, “Mele be nànɔ nya sia ƒomevi gblɔm o.”
and he told them this plainly. And Peter, taking him aside, began to rebuke him.
33 Yesu trɔ kɔ kpɔ eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo, eye wògblɔ na Petro adãtɔe be, “Wò Satana, te ɖa le gbɔnye elabena èle nu siawo kpɔm le amegbetɔ ƒe susu nu, ke menye le Mawu tɔ nu o.”
But he turning about and looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter, and saith, Get thee behind me, Satan! for thy thoughts are not on the things of God, but on those of men.
34 Azɔ eyɔ nusrɔ̃lawo kple amehawo ƒo ƒu be woaɖo to ye. Egblɔ na wo be, “Ne mia dometɔ aɖe di be yeadze yonyeme la, ele be wòaɖe asi le nu siwo katã doa dzidzɔ nɛ la ŋu, wòakɔ eƒe atitsoga akplɔm ɖo.
And calling the multitude to him with his disciples also, he said to them, Whoever chooseth to follow me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 Ne miedi kokoko be miaɖe miaƒe agbe la, miabui boŋ. Ame siwo tsɔ woƒe agbe ɖo anyi le nye nyanyui la ta la, atsi agbe boŋ.
For whoever chooseth to save his life, will lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for the sake of me and of the glad tidings, will save it.
36 “Viɖe ka wòanye na ame be xexea me katã nazu etɔ, gake wòabu eƒe agbe to xexemenuwo didi me?
For what doth it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?
37 Nane gaxɔ asi wu eya ŋutɔ ƒe luʋɔ le xexe sia mea?
For what can a man give as an exchange for his life?
38 Le ŋkeke siawo me, esi dzimaxɔse kple nu vɔ̃ bɔ alea la, ame si nye kple nye nyawo akpe ŋu na la, Amegbetɔ Vi la akpe ŋu eya hã nenye be etrɔ va le Fofoa ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe la me kple eƒe mawudɔla kɔkɔeawo.”
For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will also the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
