< Marko 4 >
1 Eva eme be ame geɖewo gava ƒo ƒu ɖe Yesu ŋu esime wònɔ nu fiam le ƒuta. Le ameawo ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ ta la, ege ɖe ʋu aɖe me hafi nɔ nua fiam.
Again, he was teaching by the sea side, when so great a multitude gathered about him, that he was obliged to go aboard a bark, and sit there, while all the people remained on shore.
2 Efia nu geɖe amewo to lododowo me.
Then he taught them many things by parables.
3 Egblɔ na wo be, “Miɖo to miasee! Agbledela aɖe yi nuku wu ge ɖe eƒe agble me.
In teaching, he said to them, Attend, behold the sower went out to sow.
4 Nuku siwo wòwu la ƒe ɖewo ge ɖe mɔto, eye xeviwo va fɔ wo mi.
And as he sowed, part of the seed fell by the way-side, and the birds came and picked it up.
5 Ɖewo hã ge ɖe kpenyigba dzi, afi si ke sue aɖe ko nɔ; nuku siawo tsi vlɔvlɔvlɔ,
Part fell upon rocky ground, where it had little mold. This sprang sooner, because there was no depth of soil.
6 gake esi ŋdɔ ʋu ɖe wo dzi la, woyrɔ, eye woku, elabena woƒe kewo mede to o.
But after the sun had beaten upon it, it was scorched, and having no root, it withered away.
7 Nuku bubuwo ge ɖe ŋuwo me, eye esi wonɔ tsitsim la, ŋuawo vu tsyɔ wo dzi ale be womete ŋu tse ku aɖeke o.
Part fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and stifled it, so that it yielded nothing.
8 Ke nuku aɖewo ya ge ɖe anyigba nyui dzi, eye wotse ku blaetɔ̃, eye ɖewo tse blaade, eye ɖewo hã tse alafa.”
Part fell into good ground, and sprang up, and became so fruitful, that some grains produced thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred.
9 Azɔ Yesu gblɔ na wo be, “Ame si to senu li na la nesee.”
He added. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.
When he was in private, those who were about him with the twelve, asked him the meaning of the parable.
11 Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Miawo la, wona mɔ mi be mianya mawufiaɖuƒe la ƒe nu ɣaɣlawo, ke woɣla esiawo ɖe ame siwo le fiaɖuƒe la godo to lododo me.
He said to them, It is your privilege to know the secrets of the Reign of God, but to those without everything is vailed in parables;
12 Miɖo ŋku edzi be, “Togbɔ be wokpɔa nu, eye wosea nu hã la, womele nu gɔme se ge alo atrɔ ɖe Mawu gbɔ; be wòatsɔ woƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake wo o.”
that they may not perceive what they look at, or understand what they hear; lest they should be reclaimed, and obtain the forgiveness of their sins.
13 Ale Yesu gblɔ na wo bena, “Ke nenye be miawo hã miete ŋu se lododo sia gɔme o ɖe, aleke miawɔ ase esiwo mava do emegbe la gɔme?
He said also to them, Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?
The sower is he who disperses the word.
15 Mɔto, afi si nuku aɖewo kaka ɖo lae nye ame siwo ƒe dziwo ku atri.
The wayside on which some of the grain fell, denotes those who have no sooner heard the word, than Satan comes, and takes away that which was sown in their hearts.
The rocky ground denotes those, who, hearing the word, receive it first with pleasure;
17 gake abe nuku siwo miena ɖe anyigba ma ƒomevi dzi ene la, woƒe kewo medea to o, eye togbɔ be wotsina vlɔvlɔvlɔ hã la, ne yometiti va ko la, wogbɔdzɔna.
yet not having it rooted in their minds, retain it but a while; for when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they instantly relapse.
The ground overrun with thorns, denotes those hearers
19 gake xexe sia me ƒe dzitsitsi ɖe kesinɔnuwo ŋu, hloloetsotso na dzidzedzekpɔkpɔ kple xexea me ƒe nudzroame geɖewo zua ŋu vuna tsyɔa Mawu ƒe Nya si wose la dzi, metsea ku aɖeke o. (aiōn )
in whom worldly cares, and delusive riches, and the inordinate desire of other things, stifle the word, and render it unfruitful. (aiōn )
20 Azɔ anyigba nyui lae nye ame siwo xɔa Mawu ƒe Nya la le nyateƒe me, eye wòtsea ku geɖe na Mawu, blaetɔ̃, blaade alo alafa ɖeka gɔ̃ hã.”
The good soil on which some grains yielded thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred, denotes those who hear the word, and retain it, and produce the fruits thereof.
21 Yesu yi edzi bia nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Nenye be ame aɖe si akaɖi ɖe, ɖe wòtsɔa nu tsyɔa edzi alo danɛ ɖe abati te mahã? Alo menye akaɖiti dzie wodanɛ ɖo be wòaklẽ na amewo o mahã?
He said further, Is a lamp brought to be put under a vessel, or under a bed, and not to be set on a stand?
For there is no secret, that is not discovered; nor has anything been concealed, which is not to be divulged.
23 Ne to senu li na mi la, misee!
If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
24 Mikpɔ egbɔ be miewɔ ɖe nu siwo miese la dzi, elabena ne miele esia wɔm la, ekema miase nu siwo katã mefia mi la gɔme.
He said, moreover, Consider what you hear: with the measure with which you give, you shall receive.
25 Ame si si nu le la, eyae woana nui, eye ame si si nu mele o la, woaxɔ sue si le esi la gɔ̃ hã le esi.”
For to him who has, more shall be given; but from him who has not, even that which he has shall be taken.
He said also, The kingdom of God is like seed, which a man sowed in his field.
While he slept by night, and waked by day, the seed shot up, and grew without his minding it.
28 Gbã la, aŋgba fɛ̃wo do tso anyigba ƒe tu me, emegbe la, nuku la ƒo se, eye mlɔeba la, etse ku.
For the earth produces of itself first the blade, then the ear; afterward the full corn.
29 Ke esi kutsetse la ɖi la, agbledela la yi agble la me kple eƒe nuxahɛ, eye wòxa nuku la.’”
But as soon as the grain was ripe, he applied the sickle, because it was time to reap it.
30 Yesu yi edzi bia wo be, “Aleke gɔ̃ maɖe ale si mawufiaɖuƒe la le la afia mie. Lododo ka tututu matsɔ asɔ kplii?
He said also, To what shall we compare the kingdom of God, or by what similitude shall we represent it?
It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is the smallest of all the seeds that are there.
32 Togbɔ be ele alea hã la, ne woƒãe la, etsina zua ati dzɔatsu le abɔmetiwo katã dome, eye wòɖea alɔ legbe siwo me xeviwo wɔa atɔ ɖo hekpɔa gbɔɖeme le wo me.”
But after it is sown, it springs up, and becomes greater than any herb, and shoots out branches so large, that under their shades, the birds of the air may find shelter.
33 Yesu wɔ lododo vovovowo ŋu dɔ tsɔ fia nu amewo. Ewɔ esiwo gɔme amewo ate ŋu ase la ŋu dɔ.
And in many such similitudes, he conveyed instruction to the people, as he found them disposed to hear:
34 Le nyateƒe me la, ne Yesu le nu fiam le dutoƒo la, lododo sɔŋ ko ŋu dɔ wòwɔna, ke emegbe ne eya kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo ɖe aga la, eɖea wo gɔme na wo.
and without a similitude he told them nothing; but he solved all to his disciples in private.
35 Esi ɣe nɔ to ɖom la, Yesu gblɔ na eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Mina míatso ƒu la ayi eƒe go evelia dzi.”
That day, in the evening, he said to them, Let us pass to the other side.
36 Eya kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo ge ɖe ʋu aɖe me, eye wodze mɔ, hegble ameha la ɖe ƒua ta, ke ʋu bubuwo hã dze wo yome.
And they, leaving the people, but having him in the bark, set sail in company with other small barks.
37 Esi wozɔ yina sẽe la, ahom sesẽ aɖe de asi tutu me. Esia na be ƒutsotsoewo ŋe dze ʋu la me ale gbegbe be esusɔ vie ko ʋu la nanyrɔ.
Then there arose a great storm of wind which drove the billows into the bark, which was now full.
38 Togbɔ be esiawo katã nɔ edzi yim hã la, Yesu ya ziɔ suɖui le ʋua ta henɔ alɔ̃ dɔm dziɖeɖitɔe. Nusrɔ̃lawo ʋuʋui sesĩe wònyɔ. Wobiae vɔvɔ̃tɔe be, “Nufiala, mètsɔ ɖeke le eme be míele nyɔnyrɔm oa?”
Jesus being in the stern, asleep on a pillow, they awake him, saying, Rabbi, do you not care that we perish?
And he arose, and commanded the wind, saying to the sea, Peace! be still! Immediately the wind ceased, and great calm ensued.
40 Azɔ etrɔ ɖe nusrɔ̃lawo ŋu bia wo be, “Nu ka ta mievɔ̃ alea gbegbe ɖo? Ekema va se ɖe fifia hã la, miexɔ dzinye se oa?”
And he said to them, Why are you so timorous? How is it that you have no faith?
41 Vɔvɔ̃ ɖo nusrɔ̃lawo ŋutɔ. Woƒe mo wɔ yaa, eye wogblɔ na wo nɔewo be, “Ame ka gɔ̃e nye esia, be yawo kple ƒutsotsoewo hã ɖoa toe?”
And they were exceedingly terrified, and said one to another, Who is this, whom even the wind and the sea obey?
