1 Esi wogogo Betfage kple Betania le Yerusalem gbɔ, eye wova ɖo Amito la gbɔ la, Yesu dɔ eƒe nusrɔ̃la eve be woado ŋgɔ na yewo.
And when they come nigh to Jerusalem, to Bethphage, and Bethany, unto the mount of the Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
2 Egblɔ na wo be, “Miyi kɔƒe si le mia ŋgɔ la me. Ne miege ɖe eme teti ko la, miakpɔ tedzivi si womedo kpɔ o la le ka me. Mitui ne miakplɔe vɛ.
and saith to them, 'Go away to the village that is over-against you, and immediately, entering into it, ye shall find a colt tied, on which no one of men hath sat, having loosed it, bring [it]:
3 Ne ame aɖe bia mi be nu ka ta miele ka ɖemee hã la, migblɔ nɛ ko be, ‘Aƒetɔ lae le ehiãm, eye aɖoe ɖa enumake.’”
and if any one may say to you, Why do ye this? say ye that the lord hath need of it, and immediately he will send it hither.'
4 Nusrɔ̃la eveawo dze mɔ, eye wokpɔ tedzivi la le ka me le aƒe aɖe godo. Esi wonɔ ka tumee la,
And they went away, and found the colt tied at the door without, by the two ways, and they loose it,
5 ame siwo nɔ tsitre ɖe afi ma la bia wo be, “Nu ka ta miele ka tum tedzivi la ɖo?”
and certain of those standing there said to them, 'What do ye — loosing the colt?'
6 Wogblɔ nya siwo Yesu be woagblɔ la na wo.
and they said to them as Jesus commanded, and they suffered them.
7 Ale wokplɔ tedzivi la vɛ na Yesu eye nusrɔ̃lawo ɖe woƒe awuwo ɖo ɖe edzi be wòadoe.
And they brought the colt unto Jesus, and did cast upon it their garments, and he sat upon it,
8 Ame geɖewo ɖo woƒe avɔwo ɖe mɔa dzi le eŋgɔ be wòazɔ wo dzi, eye ɖewo hã ŋe atilɔwo ɖo ɖe mɔa dzi nɛ fũu.
and many did spread their garments in the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees, and were strewing in the way.
9 Eya ŋutɔ nɔ titina, ame aɖewo nɔ eŋgɔ, eye ɖewo hã nɔ eyome, eye wo katã wonɔ ɣli dom dzidzɔtɔe be, “Hosana!” “Woyra ame si gbɔna le Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋkɔ me.”
And those going before and those following were crying out, saying, 'Hosanna! blessed [is] he who is coming in the name of the Lord;
10 “Woakafu Mawu be wòtrɔ Mía Fofo David ƒe fiaɖuƒe la vɛ na mí!” “Hosana le dziƒo ʋĩi.”
blessed is the coming reign, in the name of the Lord, of our father David; Hosanna in the highest.'
11 Ale wòge ɖe Yerusalem dua me, eye woyi gbedoxɔ la me. Etsa ŋku godoo le teƒea, lé ŋku ɖe nu sia nu ŋu tsitotsito, eye wòtrɔ dzo yi Betania kple nusrɔ̃la wuieveawo elabena zã nɔ dodom.
And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple, and having looked round on all things, it being now evening, he went forth to Bethany with the twelve.
12 Esi ŋu ke ŋdi, eye wotrɔ tso Betania gbɔna la, dɔ wu Yesu le mɔa dzi.
And on the morrow, they having come forth from Bethany, he hungered,
13 Ekpɔ gboti aɖe si da ama ŋutɔ, ale wòte ɖe eŋu be yeakpɔ kutsetse aɖe le edzi hã, gake aŋgbawo koe nɔ ati la dzi, elabena eƒe kutseɣi meɖo o.
and having seen a fig-tree afar off having leaves, he came, if perhaps he shall find anything in it, and having come to it, he found nothing except leaves, for it was not a time of figs,
14 Yesu ƒo fi de ati la be, “Ame aɖeke magaɖu wò kutsetse aɖeke kpɔ gbeɖe o.” Nusrɔ̃lawo hã se nya si wògblɔ la. (aiōn )
and Jesus answering said to it, 'No more from thee — to the age — may any eat fruit;' and his disciples were hearing. (aiōn )
15 Esi wova ɖo Yerusalem la, egayi gbedoxɔa ƒe xɔxɔnu, eye wòde asi nudzralawo kple nuƒlelawo nyanya do goe me. Emu gaɖɔlilawo ƒe kplɔ̃wo ƒu anyi, ekaka akpakpadzralawo ƒe zikpuiwo,
And they come to Jerusalem, and Jesus having gone into the temple, began to cast forth those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those selling the doves, he overthrew,
16 eye meɖe mɔ be ame aɖeke natsɔ naneke ato gbedoxɔ la me o.
and he did not suffer that any might bear a vessel through the temple,
17 Egay eƒe nufiafia dzi hegblɔ na ameawo be, “Ɖe womeŋlɔe ɖi be, ‘Nye gbedoxɔ anye gbedoɖaƒe na dukɔwo katã oa’? Gake miawo mietsɔe wɔ ‘fiafitɔwo ƒe nɔƒee.’”
and he was teaching, saying to them, 'Hath it not been written — My house a house of prayer shall be called for all the nations, and ye did make it a den of robbers?'
18 Esi nunɔlagãwo kple sefialawo se nu si Yesu wɔ la, wode aɖaŋu le ale si woawɔ awui la ŋuti. Ke wonɔ vɔvɔ̃m, elabena ame geɖewo kpɔ dzidzɔ le Yesu ƒe nufiafia ŋuti.
And the scribes and the chief priests heard, and they were seeking how they shall destroy him, for they were afraid of him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching;
19 Abe ale si wowɔna ɖaa ene la, Yesu kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo do go le dua me le fiẽ me lɔƒo.
and when evening came, he was going forth without the city.
20 Esi ŋu ke ŋdi la, wova to gboti si Yesu ƒo fi de la ŋuti, eye wokpɔ be, ati la yrɔ sũu.
And in the morning, passing by, they saw the fig-tree having been dried up from the roots,
21 Kasia Petro ɖo ŋku nya si Yesu gblɔ na ati la dzi, eye wògblɔ be, “Kpɔ ɖa, Nufiala! Ati si nèƒo fi de la yrɔ!”
and Peter having remembered saith to him, 'Rabbi, lo, the fig-tree that thou didst curse is dried up.'
22 Yesu ɖo eŋu be, “Mixɔ Mawu dzi se.
And Jesus answering saith to them, 'Have faith of God;
23 Nyateƒenya wònye be ne ame aɖe agblɔ na to sia be, ‘Yi, nàtsɔ ɖokuiwò ƒu gbe ɖe atsiaƒu me’ eye ɖikeke mele eƒe dzi me o la, ava eme nɛ.
for verily I say to you, that whoever may say to this mount, Be taken up, and be cast into the sea, and may not doubt in his heart, but may believe that the things that he saith do come to pass, it shall be to him whatever he may say.
24 Eya ta mele egblɔm na mi be nu sia nu si miabia to gbedodoɖa me la, mixɔe se be miaxɔe, eye wòaka mia si hã.
Because of this I say to you, all whatever — praying — ye do ask, believe that ye receive, and it shall be to you.
25 Gake ne miebe yewoado gbe ɖa la, mitsɔ ame siwo ƒe nyawo le dɔ me na mi la ke wo gbã be mia Fofo si le dziƒo hã natsɔ miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mi. [
'And whenever ye may stand praying, forgive, if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your trespasses;
26 Ke ne mietsɔ ke amewo o la, mia Fofo hã matsɔ miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mi o.]”
and, if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your trespasses.'
27 Wogava ɖo Yerusalem, eye esi wònɔ tsa ɖim le gbedoxɔ la me la, nunɔlagãwo kple agbalẽfialawo kpakple Yudatɔwo ƒe amegã bubuwo va tui hebiae be,
And they come again to Jerusalem, and in the temple, as he is walking, there come unto him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28 “Ŋusẽ kae nètsɔ le nu siawo wɔm, eye ame kae na ŋusẽ sia wò?”
and they say to him, 'By what authority dost thou these things? and who gave thee this authority that these things thou mayest do?'
29 Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Hafi maɖo nya sia ŋu na mi la, miawo hã miɖo nye biabia sia ŋu nam.
And Jesus answering said to them, 'I will question you — I also — one word; and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things;
30 Yohanes ƒe mawutsidede ta na ame ɖe, Dziƒo wòtso loo alo amewo gbɔ wòtsoa? Miɖo eŋu nam!”
the baptism of John — from heaven was it? or from men? answer me.'
31 Wodzro nya sia me le wo ɖokuiwo dome, eye wogblɔ be, “Ne míegblɔ be, ‘Etso dziƒo’ la, abia mí be, ‘Ekema nu ka ŋutie miexɔ edzi se o?’
And they were reasoning with themselves, saying, 'If we may say, From heaven, he will say, Wherefore, then, did ye not believe him?
32 Gake ne míegblɔ be, ‘Amewo gbɔ wòtso la’ …” (Wovɔ̃ be ʋunyaʋunya adzɔ, elabena amewo katã xɔe se be Yohanes nye nyagblɔɖila.)
But if we may say, From men,' — they were fearing the people, for all were holding John that he was indeed a prophet;
33 Esia ta wogblɔ nɛ be, “Míenya o.” Yesu hã gblɔ na wo be, “Ekema nye hã nyemagblɔ ŋusẽ si metsɔ le nu siawo wɔm la na mi o.”
and answering they say to Jesus, 'We have not known;' and Jesus answering saith to them, 'Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.'
