< Luka 9 >

1 Gbe ɖeka Yesu yɔ eƒe nusrɔ̃la wuieveawo ƒo ƒui, eye wòna ŋusẽ wo be woanya gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo do goe le ameawo me, eye woada gbe le dɔ ƒomevi vovovowo lélawo ŋu.
He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.
2 Le esia megbe la, edɔ wo ɖa be woagblɔ mawufiaɖuƒe la ƒe vavanya na ame sia ame, eye woayɔ dɔ dɔléle ɖe sia ɖe ƒomevi.
He sent them forth to proclaim the Kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 Ede se na wo be, “Migatsɔ naneke ɖe asi hena mɔzɔzɔ o, atizɔti loo alo mɔzɔkotoku, alo abolo, alo klosalo, alo awu eve o.
And he said to them, "Take nothing for your journey—neither staff, nor pack, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats.
4 Ne mieɖo du aɖe me la, midze aƒe ɖeka ko me.”
Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.
5 Nenye be amewo mexɔ mi le du aɖe me o la, midzo le dua me. Ke ne miedzo yina la, miʋuʋu ke si le miaƒe afɔwo ŋuti la ɖi hena ɖaseɖiɖi le dua ŋuti.
As many as do not receive you, when you depart from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a testimony against them."
6 Ale nusrɔ̃lawo dze mɔ nɔ tsatsam le du kple kɔƒewo me, henɔ nyanyui la kakam, eye wonɔ gbe dam le dɔnɔwo hã ŋu.
They departed, and went throughout the villages, preaching the Good News, and healing everywhere.
7 Esi Herod si nye mɔmefia la se nukunu siwo wɔm Yesu nɔ la, etsi dzimaɖeɖi, eye eƒe susu hã ɖe fu nɛ ŋutɔ, elabena ese ame aɖewo nɔ gbɔgblɔm be, “Yohanes Mawutsidetanamelae gagbɔ agbe.”
Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done; and he was very perplexed, because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead,
8 Ɖewo hã nɔ gbɔgblɔm be, “Eliya ɖe eɖokui fia.” Ame bubuwo hã be, “Nyagblɔɖila xoxoawo dometɔ ɖekae fɔ tso ame kukuwo dome.”

9 Le esia ta la, Herod gblɔ na eɖokui be, “Metso ta le Yohanes nu, ke ame kae nye esia si ŋu mele nya wɔnuku siawo sem tsoe?” Ale wòdi vevie be yeakpɔ Yesu.
Herod said, "John I beheaded, but who is this, about whom I hear such things?" He sought to see him.
10 Esi apostoloawo trɔ gbɔ va la, wogblɔ nu siwo wowɔ la na Yesu. Emegbe la, Yesu kplɔ wo dzoe dzaa yi Betsaida dua me.
The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them, and withdrew apart to a city called Bethsaida.
11 Gake ame geɖewo nya afi si yim wonɔ xoxoxo, eya ta wokplɔ wo ɖo. Exɔ wo alɔ eve, eye wògade asi nufiafia wo me tso mawufiaɖuƒe la ŋu, eye wòyɔ dɔ dɔnɔwo hã le wo dome.
But the crowds, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, and spoke to them of the Kingdom of God, and he cured those who needed healing.
12 Le ɣetrɔ miaa la, eƒe nusrɔ̃la wuieveawo va ƒoe ɖe enu be, “Na mɔ ameawo be woayi kɔƒewo kple agble siwo te ɖe afi sia ŋu la me aɖadi nuɖuɖu kple dɔƒe na wo ɖokuiwo, elabena naneke mele teƒe tsoabo sia woaƒle aɖu o.”
The day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said to him, "Send the crowd away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place."
13 Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Miawoe wòle be miadi nuɖuɖu na wo woaɖu.” Woawo hã gagblɔ nɛ be, “Aleke míawɔ ana nu wo woaɖu esi wònye be abolo atɔ̃ kple tɔmelã eve koe le míawo ŋutɔ si, alo ɖe nèdi be míayi aɖaƒle nuɖuɖu na ame gbogbo siawoa?”
But he said to them, "You give them something to eat." They said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we should go and buy food for all these people."
14 (Wogblɔ esia, elabena ameha la ƒe xexlẽme ade akpe atɔ̃.) Yesu gblɔ na nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Migblɔ na ameawo be woanɔ anyi ɖe hatsotsowo me; ame abe blaatɔ̃ lɔƒo ene nenɔ hatsotso ɖeka me”
For they were about five thousand men. He said to his disciples, "Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each."
15 ale ameha la nɔ anyi nenema.
They did so, and made them all sit down.
16 Azɔ Yesu tsɔ abolo atɔ̃ kple tɔmelã evea, eye wòwu mo dzi ɖe dziƒo heda akpe ɖe wo ta. Eŋe wo me kakɛkakɛ, eye wòtsɔ wo na nusrɔ̃lawo be woatsɔ wo aɖo ameawo ƒe akɔme.
He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.
17 Ame sia ame ɖu nu ɖi ƒo, eye le nua ɖuɖu vɔ megbe la, wofɔ kakɛ siwo susɔ la de kusi wuieve sɔŋ me woyɔ.
They ate, and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
18 Gbe ɖeka la, esi Yesu nɔ gbe dom ɖa la, eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo nɔ egbɔ, eye wòbia wo be, “Ame kae amehawo gblɔna be menye?”
It happened, as he was praying alone, that the disciples were with him, and he asked them, "Who do the crowds say that I am?"
19 Nusrɔ̃lawo ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Ame aɖewo be wòe nye Yohanes Mawutsidenatamela la, bubuwo be Eliya, eye ɖewo hã gblɔ be blema Nyagblɔɖilawo dometɔ ɖeka si gbɔ agbe lae nènye.”
They answered, "'John the Baptist,' but others say, 'Elijah,' and others, that one of the old prophets is risen again."
20 Yesu bia wo be “Miawo ya ɖe, ame kae miebu be menye?” Petro ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Wòe nye Mawu ƒe Kristo la!”
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "The Christ of God."
21 Ke ede se na wo vevie be womegagblɔ nya sia na ame aɖeke o.
But he warned them, and commanded them to tell this to no one,
22 Eyi edzi gblɔ na wo be, “Ele be Amegbetɔ Vi la nakpe fu geɖe, eye dumegãwo, nunɔlagãwo kple sefialawo agbe nu le egbɔ. Woawui, gake agafɔ le ŋkeke etɔ̃a gbe.”

23 Egblɔ na wo be, “Ame si di be yeanɔ yonyeme la, ele nɛ be wòaɖe asi le xexe sia me nyawo ŋu atsɔ eƒe atitsoga gbe sia gbe, eye wòanɔ ŋunye ɖaa.
He said to all, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 Ame si di be yeaɖe yeƒe agbe la, atsrɔ̃e. Ke ame si tsrɔ̃ eƒe agbe ɖe tanye la, aɖee boŋ.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.
25 Viɖe ka ame akpɔ ne nu siwo katã le xexe sia me la zu etɔ ke to esia me la, wòabu eya ŋutɔ ƒe agbe?
For what does it profit a person if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?
For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels.
But I tell you the truth: There are some of those who stand here, who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Kingdom of God."
28 Le ŋkeke enyi megbe la, Yesu kplɔ Petro, Yakobo kple Yohanes ɖe asi woyi togbɛ aɖe dzi, afi si wòɖo be yeado gbe ɖa le.
It happened about eight days after these sayings, that he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.
29 Esi wònɔ gbe dom ɖa la, eƒe mo de asi keklẽ me. Eƒe awuwo fu tititi henɔ dzo dam miamiamia.
As he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became white and dazzling.
30 Ŋutsu eve, Mose kple Eliya
And look, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,

who appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 Le ɣeyiɣi sia me la, Petro kple nɔviawo nɔ alɔ̃ dɔm bɔkɔɔ. Esi wonyɔ la, wokpɔ be keklẽ kple ŋutikɔkɔe gã aɖe ƒo xlã Yesu, eye ŋutsu eve le tsitre ɖe egbɔ.
Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.
33 Esi ŋutsu eveawo nɔ dzodzom le Yesu gbɔ la, Petro gblɔ nɛ be, “Aƒetɔ, enyo be míeva afi sia. Na míatu agbadɔ etɔ̃, ɖeka na wò, ɖeka na Mose eye ɖeka na Eliya.” (Evɔ Petro menya nya si gblɔm wònɔ o.)
It happened, as they were parting from him, that Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three tents: one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah," not knowing what he said.
34 Esi wònɔ nya siawo gblɔm la, lilikpo aɖe va tsyɔ̃ wo dzi, eye vɔvɔ̃ gã aɖe lé wo.
While he said these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.
35 Gbe aɖe ɖi tso lilikpo la me be, “Ame sia nye Vinye, si metia la, miɖo toe!”
A voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him."
36 Esi gbea ɖi vɔ ko la, Yesu ɖeɖe koe susɔ ɖe teƒea kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo. Nusrɔ̃la siawo mekɔ nu le nu si teƒe wokpɔ la dzi na ame aɖeke o, hena ɣeyiɣi didi aɖe.
When the voice came, Jesus was found alone. They were silent, and told no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
37 Le ŋufɔke esi woɖi tso togbɛa dzi gbɔna la, ameha gã aɖe va kpe Yesu.
It happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a large crowd met him.
38 Ŋutsu aɖe si nɔ wo dome la kɔ gbe dzi gblɔ nɛ be, “Nufiala, meɖe kuku na wò be nàkpɔ vinye ŋutsuvi sia ɖa; eya koe nye vi le asinye.
And look, a man from the crowd called out, saying, "Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.
39 Ke gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ aɖe dzea edzi enuenu esi wɔnɛ be wòdoa ɣli sesĩe. Etsɔnɛ xlãna ɖe anyi sesĩe, ale be futukpɔ dona le enu bɔbɔbɔ. Gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ sia ɖea fu nɛ ɣe sia ɣi kloe, eye menana wòkpɔa vovo kura o.
And look, a spirit seizes him, and all at once he cries out, and it convulses him so that he foams, and it hardly departs from him, bruising him severely.
40 Meɖe kuku na wò nusrɔ̃lawo be woanyae le eme, gake womete ŋui o.”
I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they could not."
41 Yesu xɔ edzi gblɔ na eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo be, “O! Mi xɔse ʋɛ tɔ kple dzi me makɔmakɔtɔ siawo, ŋkeke neni wòle be manɔ anyi kpli mi, eye mado dzi ahe mi ase ɖo? Kplɔ viwò ŋutsuvi la va afii.”
Jesus answered, "Faithless and perverse generation, how long must I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here."
42 Esi ŋutsuvi la gbɔna ɖe Yesu gbɔ la, gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ la gaxlãe ɖe anyigba sesĩe, eye wònyamae ŋutɔ. Ke Yesu ɖe gbe na gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃a be wòado go le ɖevia me, eye wòdo le eme enumake; ale Yesu da gbe le ɖevia ŋu hetsɔe na fofoa.
While he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him violently. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
43 Ame sia ame ƒe mo wɔ yaa le ale si Yesu ɖe Mawu ƒe ŋusẽ fiae la ta. Esi ameha la nɔ nu ƒom le nu wɔnuku siwo katã wɔm wònɔ ŋu la, Yesu trɔ ɖe nusrɔ̃lawo gbɔ, gblɔ na wo be,
They were all astonished at the majesty of God. But while all were marveling at all the things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,
44 “Miɖo to afii, eye mialé nya si gblɔ ge mele na mi la ɖe ta me. Wole nye Amegbetɔ Vi la de ge asi.”
"Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men."
45 Gake nusrɔ̃lawo mese nya si wògblɔ la gɔme o, elabena wotsyɔ̃ nu woƒe susuwo dzi, gawu la, wovɔ̃ be yewoabia egɔme ase.
But they did not understand this saying. It was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
46 Azɔ ʋiʋli aɖe va ɖo nusrɔ̃lawo dome le ame si anye gã wu ŋuti.
There arose an argument among them about which of them was the greatest.
47 Ke Yesu nya woƒe dzimesusuwo, eya ta ekɔ ɖevi sue aɖe da ɖe eƒe axadzi.
Jesus, knowing the reasoning of their hearts, took a little child, and set him by his side,
48 Eye wògblɔ na wo be, “Ame si axɔ ɖevi sue sia le nye ŋkɔ dzi la, nyee wòxɔ. Ke ame si axɔm la, exɔ ame si dɔm la; elabena ame si ke nye suetɔ le mi katã dome la, eyae nye gãtɔ.”
and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one is great."
49 Yesu ƒe nusrɔ̃la Yohanes va egbɔ va gblɔ nɛ be, “Aƒetɔ, míekpɔ ame aɖe wònɔ gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo nyam le wò ŋkɔ me ale míegbe nɛ be megawɔe o, elabena menye mía dometɔ ɖekae wònye o.”
John answered, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us."
50 Yesu ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Mele be miawɔ nenema o, elabena ame si metsi tsitre ɖe mia ŋu o la le mia dzi.”
Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against you is for you."
51 Esi Yesu ƒe ɣeyiɣi si wòle be wòatrɔ ayi dziƒo nɔ aƒe tum la, eɖo ta me kplikpaa ɖo ta Yerusalem,
It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,

53 Gake kɔƒea me tɔwo gbe be yewomana xɔ ame dɔdɔawo o, esi wònye Yerusalem woɖo yina ta.
But they did not receive him, because he was traveling with his face set towards Jerusalem.
54 Esi Yakobo kple Yohanes se nya sia la, wogblɔ na Yesu be, “Aƒetɔ, míɖe gbe na dzo be wòatso dziƒo ava fia woa?”
When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, "Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and consume them?"
55 Gake Yesu trɔ ɖe wo gbɔ, eye wògbe nya na wo.
And he turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not realize what kind of Spirit you belong to.
56 Ale wodzo yi kɔƒe bubu me.
For the Son of Man did not come to destroy people's lives, but to save them." And they went to another village.
57 Esi wonɔ mɔa dzi nɔ yiyim la, ame aɖe va tu Yesu gblɔ nɛ be, “Medi be makplɔ wò ɖo ayi afi sia afi si nàyi la.”
As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, "I want to follow you wherever you go."
58 Yesu ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Abeiwo la, do le wo si wodɔa eme, xeviwo hã, atɔ le wo si wodɔa eme, gake Amegbetɔ Vi la mekpɔ afi si wòatsɔ ta aziɔ ɖo o.”
And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."
59 Egblɔ na ame bubu be, “Dze yonyeme!” Ke ŋutsu la ɖo eŋu be, “Aƒetɔ, na mayi aɖaɖi fofonye gbã hafi.”
He said to another, "Follow me." But he said, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father."
60 Yesu ɖo eŋu gblɔ nɛ be, “Na ame siwo nye ame kukuwo la naɖi woƒe ame kukuwo, ke wò ya yi naɖe gbeƒã mawufiaɖuƒe la na amewo.”
But Jesus said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God."
61 Ame bubu aɖe si hã wòyɔ la gblɔ nɛ be, “Aƒetɔ, madze yowòme, gake na mayi aɖaklã nye ƒometɔwo gbã hafi mava.”
Another also said, "I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to bid farewell to those who are at my house."
62 Yesu gblɔ nɛ be, “Ame si le agble ŋlɔm, eye wògale megbe kpɔm la medze na mawufiaɖuƒe la o.”
But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God."
