< Luka 8 >
And it came to pass afterwards that he went through [the country] city by city, and village by village, preaching and announcing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God; and the twelve [were] with him,
2 Nyɔnu aɖe si me wònya gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo le kple esiwo ŋu wòda gbe le la kplɔ wo ɖo. Wo dometɔ aɖewoe nye Maria Magdalatɔ ame si me wònya gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ adre le,
and certain women who had been healed of wicked spirits and infirmities, Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
3 Yohana, Kuza srɔ̃, Kuza sia nye Fia Herod ƒe fiasã bliboa dzi kpɔla, Susana kple ame bubu geɖe siwo tsɔ woawo ŋutɔ ƒe ga kple nuɖuɖu nɔ Yesu kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo dzi kpɔmii.
and Joanna, wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him of their substance.
4 Gbe ɖeka esi ame geɖe gaƒo ƒu ɖe Yesu ŋu be yewoase eƒe nyawo, eye bubuwo hã ganɔ mɔ dzi gbɔna tso du bubuwo me la, edo lo sia na wo be,
And a great crowd coming together, and those who were coming to him out of each city, he spoke by parable:
5 “Agbledela aɖe yi eƒe agble me be yeaƒã nuku. Esi wònɔ nukuawo wum la, ɖewo ge ɖe mɔƒome, eye amewo va zɔ wo dzi. Xeviwo hã va fɔ wo mi.
The sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell along the way, and it was trodden under foot, and the birds of the heaven devoured it up;
6 Nuku aɖewo hã ge ɖe kpenyigba dzi. Nuku siawo de asi miemie me, gake wova yrɔ elabena woƒe kewo mete ŋu yi tome ʋĩi afi si woakpɔ tsi le o.
and other fell upon the rock, and having sprung up, it was dried up because it had not moisture;
7 Bubuwo ge ɖe ŋugbewo me, eye womie kple ŋuawo, gake ŋuawo va vu tsyɔ̃ wo dzi, eye wotsrɔ̃.
and other fell in the midst of the thorns, and the thorns having sprung up with [it] choked it;
8 Nuku bubuwo ya ge ɖe anyigba nyui dzi, ale wotsi, tse ku alafa nanewo wu esi agbledela la wu.” Esi wògblɔ ŋutinya sia vɔ la, egblɔ be, “Ame si to senu li na la nesee.”
and other fell into the good ground, and having sprung up bore fruit a hundredfold. As he said these things he cried, He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
9 Eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo va egbɔ be wòaɖe lododo la gɔme na yewo.
And his disciples asked him [saying], What may this parable be?
10 Ke egblɔ na wo be, “Miawo la, wona nunya mi be miase mawufiaɖuƒe la ƒe nu ɣaɣlawo gɔme, ke hena ame bubuwo la, meƒoa nu na wo le lododowo me ale be, “‘Ne wokpɔ nu la, womadze sii o, ne wose nu hã la, womase egɔme o.’”
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables, in order that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.
11 Yesu gblɔ na wo be, “Lododo la gɔmee nye esi, nuku lae nye Mawu ƒe nya si wòtsɔ vɛ na amegbetɔwo.
But the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Mɔƒome afi si nuku aɖewo ge ɖo lae nye ame siwo ƒe dziwo ku atri. Ame siawo ƒomevi sea Mawu ƒe nya, gake Abosam vana, eye wòɖea nya la le woƒe dzi me ale be wometea ŋu xɔa edzi sena be woakpɔ ɖeɖe o.
But those by the wayside are those who hear; then comes the devil and takes away the word from their heart that they may not believe and be saved.
13 Esiwo ge ɖe kpenyigba dzi lae nye ame siwo ne wose nya la la, woxɔnɛ kple dzidzɔ, gake metoa ke ɖe woƒe dziwo me be wòatsi o. Woxɔna sena ɣeyiɣi aɖe, ke le tetekpɔ ƒe ɣeyiɣiwo me la, wogbɔdzɔna.
But those upon the rock, those who when they hear receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a time, and in time of trial fall away.
14 Nuku si ge ɖe ŋu me lae nye ame siwo sea mawunya eye woxɔnɛ sena, gake agbe sia me ƒe fuɖenamewo, kesinɔnuwo, aglotutu, dzidzɔkpɔkpɔwo kple ŋutilã ƒe dzidzɔdonamenuwo vuna tsyɔ̃a nya la dzi le woƒe dziwo me, ale be wometsea ku ɖina o.
But that that fell where the thorns were, these are they who having heard go away and are choked under cares and riches and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 Ke anyigba nyui lae nye ame siwo se nya la kple dzi nyui si dza, eye wolé eme ɖe asi sesĩe, ale wotsea ku le dzigbɔɖi me.”
But that in the good ground, these are they who in an honest and good heart, having heard the word keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 Ɣe bubu ɣi la, Yesu bia ameawo be, “Ame kae se kpɔ be ame aɖe si akaɖi, eye wòtsɔ nu tsyɔ edzi be megaklẽ o. Gbeɖe, akaɖi la, akaɖiti dzie wodanɛ ɖo be wòaklẽ be amewo nakpɔ nu.
And no one having lighted a lamp covers it with a vessel or puts it under a couch, but sets it on a lamp-stand, that they who enter in may see the light.
17 Esia fia be gbe ɖeka la, woahe nu sia nu si le amewo ƒe dzi me la ɖe gaglãgbe be ame sia ame nakpɔ.
For there is nothing hid which shall not become manifest, nor secret which shall not be known and come to light.
18 Le esia ta mikpɔ nyuie le nu siwo miesena la ŋu elabena ame si si nu le la, eyae woagana nui, eye ame si si nu mele o la, woaxɔ esi wòbu be ele ye si la hã le esi.”
Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever has, to him shall be given, and whosoever has not, even what he seems to have shall be taken from him.
19 Gbe ɖeka Yesu nɔviawo kple dadaa wova be yewoakpɔe ɖa. Amewo sɔ gbɔ ale gbegbe be dadaa kple nɔviawo mete ŋu te ɖe eŋu o.
And his mother and his brethren came to him, and could not get to him because of the crowd.
20 Ame aɖe va gblɔ na Yesu be dadaa kple nɔviawo le edim be yewoakpɔ.
And it was told him [saying], Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, wishing to see thee.
21 Esi Yesu se be ye dada kple ye nɔviwo le xexe le ye dim la, egblɔ be, “Danye kple nɔvinyewoe nye ame siwo katã sea mawunya la, eye wowɔna ɖe edzi hã.”
But he answering said to them, My mother and my brethren are those who hear the word of God and do [it].
22 Gbe bubu gbe esi eya kple eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo nɔ ʋu aɖe me le ƒua dzi la, Yesu bia tso nusrɔ̃lawo si be woaku ʋua yi ƒua ƒe go evelia dzi.
And it came to pass on one of the days, that he entered into a ship, himself and his disciples; and he said to them, Let us pass over to the other side of the lake; and they set off from shore.
23 Esi wonɔ ʋua me le ƒua dzi yina la, Yesu dɔ alɔ̃. Le ɣeyiɣi sia me la, ahom tu, eye ƒutsotsoewo ge ɖe ʋu la me, eye woƒe agbe ɖo xaxa gã aɖe me.
And as they sailed, he fell asleep; and a sudden squall of wind came down on the lake, and they were filled [with water], and were in danger;
24 Nusrɔ̃lawo ɖe abla va Yesu gbɔ heʋuʋui, eye wònyɔ. Wogblɔ nɛ be, “Aƒetɔ, Aƒetɔ, míele nyɔnyrɔm!” Ale Yesu fɔ, eye wòblu ɖe ahom la ta. Enumake ɖoɖoe gã aɖe zi eye ahom la dzudzɔ. Ya la kple ƒutsotsoeawo dze kɔ anyi kpoo.
and coming to [him] they woke him up, saying, Master, master, we perish. But he, rising up, rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 Azɔ ebia eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Afi ka míaƒe xɔse le?” Wo katã ƒe mo wɔ yaa, eye vɔvɔ̃ lé wo. Ɖeko wobia wo nɔewo be, “Ame kae nye ame sia, be ya kple ƒutsotsoewo gɔ̃ hã ɖoa toe?”
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And, being afraid, they were astonished, saying to one another, Who then is this, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
26 Wova ɖi go ɖe Gadaratɔwo ƒe anyigba si le Galilea ƒua godo la dzi.
And they arrived in the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 Esi wonɔ go dom tso ʋua me ko la, ŋutsu aɖe si me gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo le, eye megado awu kpɔ o la si du tso Gadara dua me va kpe Yesu. Nɔƒe aɖeke mele ame sia si abe aƒe me ene o. Agado siwo me woɖi ame kukuwo ɖo la me wòmlɔna.
And as he got out [of the ship] on the land, a certain man out of the city met him, who had demons a long time, and put on no clothes, and did not abide in a house, but in the tombs.
28 Esi wòkpɔ Yesu teti ko la, etsɔ eɖokui xlã ɖe anyigba le eŋgɔ henɔ ɣli dom be, “Nu ka dim nèle le gbɔnye, wò Yesu, Mawu Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la ƒe Vi. Meɖe kuku na wò, mègawɔ funyafunyam o!”
But seeing Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee torment me not.
29 Egblɔ nya sia, elabena Yesu de asi gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ la nyanya me le eme xoxo. Gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ sia xɔ amea me ale gbegbe be ne woblae kple gakɔsɔkɔsɔ hã la, etsoa kɔsɔkɔsɔa bɔbɔe hesina ɖoa gbe.
For he had commanded the unclean spirit to go out from the man. For very often it had seized him; and he had been bound, kept with chains and fetters; and breaking the bonds he was driven by the demon into the deserts.
30 Yesu bia gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃a be, “Ŋkɔwò ɖe?” Eɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Ŋkɔnyee nye Legio,” elabena gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ geɖe yi eme.
And Jesus asked him saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: for many demons had entered into him.
31 Gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃awo ɖe kuku na Yesu vevie be meganya yewo de do globo si seɖoƒe meli na o la me o. (Abyssos )
And they besought him that he would not command them to go away into the bottomless pit. (Abyssos )
32 Aƒehawo ƒe ha gã aɖe nɔ nu ɖum le to si te ɖe wo ŋu la kɔgo le ɣeyiɣi sia me, eye gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃awo ɖe kuku na Yesu be nena yewoayi aɖage ɖe wo me. Ale Yesu na mɔ wo.
And there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain, and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into those; and he suffered them.
33 Gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃awo do go le amea me yi ɖage ɖe haawo me. Enumake haawo katã ƒu du sesĩe tso toa kɔgo yi ɖadze ƒu me doo heno tsi ku.
And the demons, going out from the man, entered into the swine, and the herd rushed down the precipice into the lake, and were choked.
34 Esi hakplɔlawo kpɔ nu siwo dzɔ la, wolé du tsɔ sesĩe tu ta duwo kple kɔƒe siwo te ɖe afi ma ŋu la me, eye esi wonɔ yiyim la, wonɔ nu si dzɔ la gblɔm na amewo.
But they that fed [them], seeing what had happened, fled, and told [it] to the city and to the country.
35 Eteƒe medidi o la, ameha gã aɖe va do be yewoakpɔ nu kple yewo ŋutɔ ƒe ŋkuwo. Wokpɔ ame si me gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃awo nɔ kpɔ la, eƒe mo kɔ, eye wòdo awu henɔ anyi ɖe Yesu ƒe afɔ nu kpoo, esia wɔe be vɔvɔ̃ gã aɖe ɖo ameawo katã.
And they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting, clothed and sensible, at the feet of Jesus. And they were afraid.
36 Ame siwo kpɔ ale si Yesu da gbe le gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ tɔ la ŋui la gblɔe na wo tɔ bubuawo.
And they also who had seen it told them how the possessed man had been healed.

And all the multitude of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were possessed with great fear; and he, entering into the ship, returned.
38 Hafi wòadzo la, ame si me wònya gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃awo le la ɖe kuku nɛ vevie be yeayi kplii. Ke Yesu gbe gblɔ nɛ be,
But the man out of whom the demons had gone besought him that he might be with him. But he sent him away, saying,
39 “Trɔ nàyi wò ƒometɔwo gbɔ, eye nàgblɔ nu gã si Mawu wɔ na wò la na wo.” Ale ŋutsu sia dze mɔ nɔ tsatsam le dua me henɔ nukunu gã si Yesu wɔ la gblɔm na ameawo.
Return to thine house and relate how great things God has done for thee. And he went away through the whole city, publishing how great things Jesus had done for him.
40 Ke esi Yesu trɔ va la, ameha la xɔe atuu, elabena wonɔ mɔ kpɔm na eƒe vava xoxoxo.
And it came to pass when Jesus returned, the crowd received him gladly, for they were all expecting him.
41 Azɔ ŋutsu aɖe si ŋkɔe nye Yairo si nye Yudatɔwo ƒe ƒuƒoƒedzikpɔlawo dometɔ ɖeka la va Yesu gbɔ dze klo ɖe eƒe afɔ nu heɖe kuku nɛ vevie be nekplɔ ye ɖo yi aƒe me,

43 Nyɔnu aɖe nɔ afi ma, ame si le ʋusisidɔ lém ƒe wuieve sɔŋ, gake ame aɖeke mete ŋu yɔ dɔe o.

coming up behind, touched the hem of his garment, and immediately her flux of blood stopped.
45 Ke Yesu trɔ bia be, “Ame kae ka asi ŋunye?” Ame aɖeke melɔ̃ be yee o. Ke Petro gblɔ nɛ be, “Aƒetɔ ameha la mimi wò ɖo, eye wote ɖe ŋuwò kpokploe, aleke wɔ nàbia be ame kae ka asi ye ŋu?”
And Jesus said, Who has touched me? But all denying, Peter and those with him said, Master, the crowds close thee in and press upon thee, and sayest thou, Who has touched me?
46 Yesu ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Gbeɖe, ame aɖe ɖoe koŋ ka asi ŋunye, elabena ŋusẽ si le menye la ƒe ɖe do le menye.”
And Jesus said, Some one has touched me, for I have known that power has gone out from me.

And the woman, seeing that she was not hid, came trembling, and falling down before him declared before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was immediately healed.
48 Yesu gblɔ nɛ be, “Vinyɔnu, wò xɔse da gbe le ŋuwò. Heyi le ŋutifafa me.”
And he said to her, [Be of good courage, ] daughter; thy faith has healed thee; go in peace.

While he was yet speaking, comes some one from the ruler of the synagogue, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher.
50 Esi Yesu se nya si amea tsɔ vɛ la, egblɔ na ɖevia fofo be, “Mègavɔ̃ o! Wò ya xɔ se ko, ekema viwòa agagbɔ agbe.”
But Jesus, hearing it, answered him saying, Fear not: only believe, and she shall be made well.

And all were weeping and lamenting her. But he said, Do not weep, for she has not died, but sleeps.

And they derided him, knowing that she had died.

But he, having turned them all out and taking hold of her hand, cried saying, Child, arise.

And her spirit returned, and immediately she rose up; and he commanded [something] to eat to be given to her.
56 Dzi dzɔ ɖevia dzilawo ŋutɔ. Ke Yesu de se na wo vevie be womegagblɔ nu si dzɔ la na ame aɖeke o.
And her parents were amazed; but he enjoined them to tell no one what had happened.
