And it was don in tho daies, a maundement wente out fro the emperour August, that al the world schulde be discryued.
2 (Esiae nye amexexlẽ gbãtɔ si va eme esi Kirenio nye mɔmefia le Siria le ɣe ma ɣi.)
This firste discryuyng was maad of Cyryn, iustice of Sirie.
3 Wodi tso ame sia ame si be wòayi eya ŋutɔ ƒe dedu me be woaŋlɔ eŋkɔ le afi ma.
And alle men wenten to make professioun, ech in to his owne citee.
4 Esi wònye be Yosef tso fiaƒome me ta la, ele nɛ be wòayi Betlehem le Yudea, afi si nye Fia David ƒe dedu me. Le esia ta wòdze mɔ tso Nazaret si le Galilea la me.
And Joseph wente vp fro Galilee, fro the citee Nazareth, in to Judee, in to a citee of Dauid, that is clepid Bethleem, for that he was of the hous and of the meyne of Dauid,
5 Ekplɔ Maria, ame si ŋugbe wodo nɛ ɖe asi hena ŋkɔŋɔŋlɔ; ke fu nɔ eƒo le ɣe ma ɣi me.
that he schulde knouleche with Marie, his wijf, that was weddid to hym, and was greet with child.
6 Esi woɖo Betlehem la, Maria ƒe ŋkeke de be wòadzi vi,
And it was don, while thei weren there, the daies weren fulfillid, that sche schulde bere child.
7 ale wòdzi ŋutsuvi si nye via gbãtɔ. Exatsa ɖevi la ɖe abadzivɔ me, eye wòkɔe mlɔ lãwo ƒe nuɖunu me, elabena womekpɔ dzeƒe le amedzrodzeƒe si le kɔƒea me la o.
And sche bare hir first borun sone, and wlappide hym in clothis, and leide hym in a cratche, for ther was no place to hym in no chaumbir.
8 Gbe ma gbe la, alẽkplɔla aɖewo nɔ gbedzi le kɔƒea gbɔ nɔ woƒe alẽwo ŋu dzɔm le zã me.
And scheepherdis weren in the same cuntre, wakynge and kepynge the watchis of the nyyt on her flok.
9 Kasia mawudɔla aɖe va do ɖe wo dome kpoyii, eye teƒe si wotsi tsitre ɖo la klẽ kple Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe, eye wovɔ̃ ŋutɔ,
And lo! the aungel of the Lord stood bisidis hem, and the cleernesse of God schinede aboute hem; and thei dredden with greet drede.
10 gake mawudɔla la de dzi ƒo na wo gblɔ be, “Migavɔ̃ o! Dzidzɔnya gãtɔ kekeake si miese kpɔ o lae meva be magblɔ na mi kple ame bubuwo siaa!
And the aungel seide to hem, Nyle ye drede; for lo! Y preche to you a greet ioye, that schal be to al puple.
11 “Ɛ̃, le nyateƒe me la, wodzi ɖela si nye Kristo, Aƒetɔ la na mí egbea le David ƒe du la me.
For a sauyoure is borun to dai to you, that is Crist the Lord, in the citee of Dauid.
12 Ale esia anye dzesi na mi be miakpɔ ɖevi aɖe si woxatsa abadzivɔ ɖe eŋu, eye wotsɔe mlɔ lãwo ƒe nuɖunu me.”
And this is a tokene to you; ye schulen fynde a yong child wlappid in clothis, and leid in a cratche.
13 Kasia dziƒoʋakɔ gã aɖewo va kpe ɖe mawudɔla ɖeka ma ŋu, eye wonɔ Mawu kafum le gbɔgblɔm be,
And sudenli ther was maad with the aungel a multitude of heuenli knyythod, heriynge God,
14 “Woakafu Mawu si le dziƒo ʋĩi, eye ŋutifafa ava anyigba dzi; anɔ anyi kple ame siwo katã wɔa eƒe lɔlɔ̃nu.”
and seiynge, Glorie be in the hiyeste thingis to God, and in erthe pees be to men of good wille.
15 Esi mawudɔlawo dzo le wo gbɔ yi dziƒo la, alẽkplɔlawo gblɔ na wo nɔewo be, “Mina míayi Betlehem aɖakpɔ nukunu gã si dzɔ, si Aƒetɔ la na míenya la ɖa.”
And it was don, as the `aungelis passiden awei fro hem in to heuene, the scheephirdis spaken togider, and seiden, Go we ouer to Bethleem, and se we this word that is maad, which the Lord hath `maad, and schewide to vs.
16 Alẽkplɔlawo ɖe abla yi kɔƒea me eye woyi afi si Yosef kple Maria nɔ. Wokpɔ vidzĩ la hã, wokɔe mlɔ lãwo ƒe nuɖunu me vavã.
And thei hiyynge camen, and founden Marie and Joseph, and the yong child leid in a cratche.
17 Esi Alẽkplɔlawo kpɔe la, wogblɔ nu siwo katã dzɔ la kple nya siwo katã mawudɔla la gblɔ na wo le ɖevi la ŋu la na ame sia ame.
And thei seynge, knewen of the word that was seid to hem of this child.
18 Woƒe nya la wɔ nuku na ame siwo katã see la ŋutɔ.
And alle men that herden wondriden, and of these thingis that weren seid to hem of the scheephirdis.
19 Ke Maria ya ɣla nya siawo katã ɖe eƒe dzi me, eye wòbua wo ŋu zi geɖe.
But Marie kepte alle these wordis, berynge togider in hir herte.
20 Ale alẽkplɔlawo gatrɔ yi woƒe alẽwo gbɔ le gbea dzi, eye wokafu Mawu, be mawudɔlawo va kpɔ yewo ɖa, eye gawu la, wokpɔ vidzĩ la, abe ale si wògblɔ na wo la ene.
And the scheepherdis turneden ayen, glorifyinge and heriynge God in alle thingis that thei hadden herd and seyn, as it was seid to hem.
21 Esi vidzĩ la xɔ ŋkeke enyi la, wowɔ aʋatsotsokɔnu nɛ, eye wona ŋkɔe be Yesu. Esia nye ŋkɔ si mawudɔla la gblɔ da ɖi be woatsɔ nɛ hafi wofɔ eƒe fu gɔ̃ hã.
And aftir that the eiyte daies weren endid, that the child schulde be circumcided, his name was clepid Jhesus, which was clepid of the aungel, bifor that he was conceyued in the wombe.
22 Ke esi wowu ŋutikɔklɔŋkekeawo nu le Mose ƒe seawo nu la, Yosef kple Maria kɔ vidzĩ la yi gbedoxɔ me le Yerusalem be woakɔe aɖo Mawu ƒe ŋkume
And aftir that the daies of the purgacioun of Marie weren fulfillid, aftir Moyses lawe, thei token hym into Jerusalem, to offre hym to the Lord, as it is writun in the lawe of the Lord,
23 (elabena woŋlɔe ɖe Aƒetɔ la ƒe seawo me be, “Nenye be ame aɖe ƒe vi gbãtɔ nye ŋutsuvi la, ele be wòatsɔe ade asi na Aƒetɔ la”).
For euery male kynde openynge the wombe, schal be clepid holi to the Lord; and that thei schulen yyue an offryng,
24 Yesu dzilawo na nunana si wòle be woana abe ale si Mawu ƒe se la gblɔ ene be, ele be woana akpakpa eve alo ahɔnɛ sue eve.
aftir that it is seid in the lawe of the Lord, A peire of turturis, or twei culuer briddis.
25 Ke ŋutsu aɖe le Yerusalem si ŋkɔe nye Simeon la hã nɔ gbedoxɔ la me gbe ma gbe. Ame sia nye ame ɖɔʋu aɖe si vɔ̃a Mawu ŋutɔ, enɔ Israel ƒe akɔfafa lalam eye Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe le eya amea dzi.
And lo! a man was in Jerusalem, whos name was Symeon; and this man was iust and vertuous, and aboode the coumfort of Israel; and the Hooli Goost was in hym.
26 Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ɖee fiae be maku akpɔ o, va se ɖe esime wòkpɔ Aƒetɔ la ƒe Kristo.
And he hadde takun an answere of the Hooli Goost, that he schulde not se deeth, but he sawy first the Crist of the Lord.
27 Gbɔgbɔ la zi edzi be wòayi gbedoxɔ la me gbe ma gbe. Esi Maria kple Yosef wova be yewoatsɔ Yesu, ɖevi la aɖo Mawu ŋkume le se la ƒe kɔa nu la,
And he cam in spirit into the temple. And whanne his fadir and modir ledden the child Jhesu to do aftir the custom of the lawe for hym,
28 Simeon nɔ afi ma xoxo, eye wòxɔ ɖevi la ɖe eƒe abɔwo me henɔ Mawu kafum gblɔ be,
he took hym in to hise armes, and he blesside God,
29 “Aƒetɔ Ŋusẽkatãtɔ, azɔ àte ŋu ado mɔ wò dɔla le ŋutifafa me, elabena mekpɔe abe ale si nèdo ŋugbee nam la ene.
and seide, Lord, now thou leuyst thi seruaunt aftir thi word in pees;
30 Elabena nye ŋkuwo kpɔ wò ɖeɖe,
for myn iyen han seyn thin helthe,
31 si nèdzra ɖo le dukɔwo katã ƒe ŋkume.
which thou hast maad redi bifor the face of alle puplis;
32 Eyae nye kekeli kple nyaɖeɖefia na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o, eye wòanye ŋutikɔkɔe na Israel wò dukɔ hã!”
liyt to the schewyng of hethene men, and glorie of thi puple Israel.
33 Maria kple Yosef ƒe nu ku, eye woƒe mo wɔ yaa le nya siwo katã gblɔm Simeon nɔ le Yesu ŋu ta.
And his fadir and his modir weren wondrynge on these thingis, that weren seid of hym.
34 Simeon yra wo, eye wògblɔ na dadaa Maria be, “Woɖo ɖevi sia anyi na ame geɖewo ƒe anyidzedze kple dodoɖedzi le Israel, eye abe dzesi si ŋu woagblɔ nya ɖo ene,
And Symeon blesside hem, and seide to Marie, his modir, Lo! this is set in to the fallyng doun and in to the risyng ayen of many men in Israel, and in to a tokene, to whom it schal be ayenseid.
35 ale be ame geɖewo aɖe woƒe susuwo ɖe go afia, ke wò la, yi aƒo ɖe wò luʋɔ le eta.”
And a swerd schal passe thorou thin owne soule, that the thouytis ben schewid of many hertis.
36 Nyɔnu nyagblɔɖila aɖe si woyɔna be Ana hã nɔ gbedoxɔ la me gbe ma gbe. Enye Fanuel si tso Yuda ƒe ƒome si woyɔna be Aser me la ƒe vi. Exɔ ƒe geɖe ŋutɔ, eye wònɔ anyi kple srɔ̃a ƒe adre tso eƒe ɖetugbime,
And Anna was a prophetesse, the douytir of Fanuel, of the lynage of Aser. And sche hadde goon forth in many daies, and hadde lyued with hir hosebonde seuene yeer fro hir maydynhode.
37 eye wònye ahosi si xɔ ƒe blaenyi-vɔ-ene sɔŋ. Nyɔnu sia medzona le gbedoxɔ la me gbeɖe o. Enɔa afi sia zã kple keli nɔa Mawu subɔm henɔa gbedodoɖa kple nutsitsidɔ dzi atraɖii.
And this was a widewe to foure scoor yeer and foure; and sche departide not fro the temple, but seruyde to God nyyt and dai in fastyngis and preieris.
38 Nyɔnu sia zɔ va do ɖe Maria kple Yosef gbɔ esime Simeon nɔ nu ƒom na wo, eye wode asi akpedada me na Mawu. Azɔ eyi ɖaɖe gbeƒã Kristo la na ame siwo katã nɔ mɔ kpɔm na Yerusalem ƒe ɖeɖe la.
And this cam vpon hem in thilk our, and knoulechide to the Lord, and spak of hym to alle that abiden the redempcioun of Israel.
39 Esi Yosef kple Maria wu nu siwo katã wòle be woawɔ le Yerusalem abe ale si Mawu ƒe se la bia tso wo si ene nu la, wotrɔ va aƒe le Nazaret si le Galilea.
And as thei hadden ful don alle thingis, aftir the lawe of the Lord, thei turneden ayen in to Galilee, in to her citee Nazareth.
40 Ɖevi la tsi le afi sia le nunya, ŋusẽ kple sidzedze me. Ame sia ame nya be eƒe nunya kɔ sãa, eye Mawu kɔ eƒe yayra ɖe edzi fũu.
And the child wexe, and was coumfortid, ful of wisdom; and the grace of God was in hym.
41 Yesu dzilawo yia Yerusalem ƒe sia ƒe hena Ŋutitotoŋkekenyui la ɖuɖu.
And his fadir and modir wenten ech yeer in to Jerusalem, in the solempne dai of pask.
42 Esi Yesu xɔ ƒe wuieve la, woyi ŋkeke la ɖuƒe le kɔnyinyi la nu.
And whanne Jhesus was twelue yeer oold, thei wenten vp to Jerusalem, aftir the custom of the feeste dai.
43 Esi azã la wu enu la, edzilawo dze mɔ trɔ yina Nazaret, gake Yesu ɖevi la tsi Yerusalem. Edzilawo zɔ mɔ ŋkeke ɖeka, gake womedii o,
And whanne the daies weren don, thei turneden ayen; and the child abood in Jerusalem, and his fadir and modir knewen it not.
44 elabena wobu be eya kple woƒe ƒometɔwo kple xɔlɔ̃ bubuwo do megbe. Ke esi fiẽ ɖo, eye womekpɔe o la, wode asi edidi me le woƒe ƒometɔwo kple ame nyanyɛwo dome.
For thei gessynge that he hadde be in the felowschip, camen a daies iourney, and souyten hym among hise cosyns and hise knouleche.
45 Wodii ʋuu, gake womekpɔe o, ale wotrɔ yi Yerusalem be yewoadii le afi ma.
And whanne thei founden hym not, thei turneden ayen in to Jerusalem, and souyten hym.
46 Wodii le afi ma ŋkeke etɔ̃ hafi va ke ɖe eŋu le gbedoxɔ la me le sefialagãwo dome wònɔ biabia sesẽwo me dzrom kpli wo.
And it bifelle, that aftir the thridde dai thei founden hym in the temple, sittynge in the myddil of the doctours, herynge hem and axynge hem.
47 Amewo katã ƒe nu ku le eƒe nunya kple nugɔmesese ta.
And alle men that herden hym, wondriden on the prudence and the answeris of hym.
48 Edzilawo menya nu si woagblɔ esi wokpɔe o. Mlɔeba la, dadaa gblɔ nɛ be, “Vinye, nu ka ta nèwɔ nu sia ƒomevi ɖe mía ŋu ɖo? Mí kple fofowò míetsi dzodzodzoe nɔ diwòm le afi sia afi.”
And thei seyn, and wondriden. And his modir seide to hym, Sone, what hast thou do to vs thus? Lo! thi fadir and Y sorewynge han souyte thee.
49 Yesu, ɖevi la ɖo eŋu be, “Nu ka ta wòle be miadim ɖo? Mienya be ele be manɔ Gbedoxɔ la me, afi si nye Fofonye ƒe aƒe me oa?”
And he seide to hem, What is it that ye souyten me? wisten ye not that in tho thingis that ben of my fadir, it behoueth me to be?
50 Edzilawo mese nya si wògblɔ na wo la gɔme o.
And thei vndurstoden not the word, which he spak to hem.
51 Ale Yesu trɔ yi Nazaret kpli wo, eye wònaa bubu edzilawo nyuie ŋutɔ. Ke dadaa tsɔ nya siawo katã ɣla ɖe eƒe dzi me.
And he cam doun with hem, and cam to Nazareth, and was suget to hem. And his moder kepte togidir alle these wordis, and bare hem in hir herte.
52 Yesu tsi ɖe edzi le nunya kple tsitsi kple amenuveve le Mawu kple amewo gbɔ me.
And Jhesus profitide in wisdom, age, and grace, anentis God and men.
