< Luka 13 >

1 Le ɣe ma ɣi me la, ame aɖewo ka ale si Pilato na be wowu Galileatɔwo hetɔtɔ woƒe ʋu kple woƒe numemewo la ta nɛ.
There were present at the same time, some that told Him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Yesu trɔ bia ameawo be, “Ɖe miebu be ame siwo wowu la ƒe nu vɔ̃wo sɔ gbɔ wu Galileatɔ bubuwo tɔ tae wowu wo ɖoa?
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye think that these were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things?
3 Gbeɖe, mele eme nenema o! Miawo hã minya be yewoatsrɔ̃ alea ke nenye be miegbe be yewomatrɔ dzi me o.
I tell you, No: but, unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 “Aleke miebu tso ame wuienyi siwo dzi Siloam gbetakpɔxɔ la mu dze woku la ŋu? Woawoe nye nu vɔ̃ wɔla gãtɔwo wu le Yerusalem mahã?
Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, do ye think that they were sinners above all the inhabitants in Jerusalem?
5 Gbeɖe, menye woawoe o. Miawo hã miatsrɔ̃ nenye be miegbe be yewomatrɔ dzi me o.”
I tell you, No: but, unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 Azɔ Yesu yi dzi do lo sia be, “Ŋutsu aɖe do kutsetseti aɖe ɖe eƒe abɔ me, eye wòvaa atia te edziedzi be yeakpɔ be etse ku aɖe mahã, gake mekpɔa kutsetse aɖeke le edzi o.
And He spake this parable, A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, but found none.
7 Mlɔeba la, egblɔ na abɔdzikpɔla be nelã atia ƒu anyi. Egblɔ kpe ɖe eŋu dzikutɔe be, ‘Melala ʋuu ƒe etɔ̃ sɔŋ, gake ati sia metse ku ɖeka pɛ hã kpɔ o! Lãe ƒu anyi. Nu ka ta magana wòanɔ te? Ele mɔ xem na anyigba la.’
And he said to the vine-dresser, behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, and find none: cut it down, why should it cumber the ground?
8 “Abɔdzikpɔla la ɖo eŋu nɛ be, ‘Aƒetɔ, na wòaganɔ anyi ƒe ɖeka kpɔ. Matrɔ asi le eŋu nyuie agbugbɔ aɖu ado ɖe ete.
And he said to him, Sir, let it alone this year also, till I dig about it, and lay dung to it:
9 Nenye be etse ku la, enyo, ke ne metse ku o la, malãe ƒu anyi.’”
then perhaps it may bear fruit; if not, afterwards cut it down.
10 Gbe ɖeka esi Yesu nɔ nu fiam le Yudatɔwo ƒe ƒuƒoƒe le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkekea dzi la,
And when He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath-day,
11 ekpɔ nyɔnu aɖe si dɔléamegbɔgbɔ na wònɔ dɔ lém vevie ƒe wuienyi sɔŋ. Dɔléle la na be wòxa gobaa, ale be mate ŋu adzɔ ɖe tsitrenu o.
there was a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and utterly unable to lift herself upright.
12 Yesu yɔe va eɖokui gbɔe eye wògblɔ nɛ be, “Nyɔnu, èvo tso wò dɔléle la si me!”
And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 Azɔ eka asi eŋu, eye enumake nyɔnu la ƒe dɔa vɔ nɛ, eye wòdzɔ ɖe tsitre kã hekafu Mawu.
And He laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 Yudatɔwo ƒe kplɔla si nɔ ƒuƒoƒe ma dzi kpɔm la do dziku vevie le nu si Yesu wɔ la ta, elabena eyɔ dɔ na nyɔnu la le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkekea dzi. Edo ɣli gblɔ na ameha la be, “Ŋkeke ade sɔŋ le kɔsiɖa ɖeka me esiwo dzi woawɔ dɔ le, esiae nye ŋkeke siwo dzi wòle be nàva woayɔ dɔ wò, ke menye le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke dzi o!”
But the ruler of the synagogue, being provoked that Jesus had wrought a cure on the sabbath-day, said to the people, There are six days in which ye ought to work; on these therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath-day.
15 Aƒetɔ la ɖo eŋu be, “Mi alakpanuwɔlawo! Ɖe mieɖea ka miaƒe tedziwo alo nyiwo le woƒe kpowo me le Dzudzɔgbe dzi, eye miekplɔa wo yina ɖanaa tsi wo wonona oa? Esia hã nye dɔwɔwɔ le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkekea dzi.
The Lord therefore answered him and said, Thou hypocrite, does not any of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall and lead him away to watering?
16 Ke nu vɔ̃ wònye nye ya mewɔ be meɖe ga Yuda nyɔnu, Abraham ƒe dzidzimevi sia, le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke dzia? Ame si Satana bla kple dɔléle ƒe wuienyi sɔŋ la?”
And might not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?
17 Eƒe nya siawo na be ŋu kpe eƒe futɔwo katã, eye ame sia ame kpɔ dzidzɔ le nukunu gã siwo katã wòwɔ la ta.
Upon his saying this, all his adversaries were ashamed: but the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.
18 Azɔ egade asi nufiafia amewo me le mawufiaɖuƒe la ŋuti. Ebia wo be, “Aleke mawufiaɖuƒe la le? Nu ka ŋue miate ŋu atsɔe asɔ ɖo?
Then said He, To what is the kingdom of God like, and to what shall I compare it?
19 Ele abe atiku sue aɖe si wodo ɖe agble me ene. Atiku sia tsi kabakaba va zu ati kɔkɔ aɖe, eye wòɖe alɔwo fũu, eye xeviwo va wɔ atɔ ɖe alɔawo me.”
It is like a grain of mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew, and became a great tree, and the birds of the air lodged in it's boughs.
20 Egabia ake be, “Nu ka ŋu matsɔ mawufiaɖuƒe asɔ ɖo?
And again He said, To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?
21 Eɖi nuʋãnu si nyɔnu aɖe tsɔ de abolomɔ me, eye wòwɔ dɔ to abolomɔ blibo la me va se ɖe esime wòʋã nyuie.”
It is like leaven, which a woman took and put into three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 Azɔ Yesu nɔ tsatsam le du kple kɔƒewo me nɔ nu fiam amewo, ke ekpɔ egbɔ be yenɔ tetem ɖe Yerusalem ŋu.
And he went through the cities and villages teaching, as He journeyed towards Jerusalem.
23 Ame aɖe va egbɔ va biae be, “Aƒetɔ, ame ʋɛ aɖewo koe le ɖeɖe kpɔ gea?” Eɖo eŋu na wo be,
And one said to Him, Lord, are there but few that shall be saved?
24 “Miʋli be miage ɖe eme to agbo xaxɛ la me, elabena ame geɖewo adi be yewoage ɖe eme, ke mele egblɔm be womate ŋui o.
But He said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate; for I tell you, many will desire to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 Nenye be Aƒetɔ la tsi tsitre hetu ʋɔa la, ekema mietsi megbe. Mianɔ tsitre ɖe ʋɔa godo anɔ eƒom be, ‘Aƒetɔ, ʋu ʋɔa na mi.’ “Ke aɖo eŋu na mi be, ‘Nyemenya mi kple afi si mietso o.’
When the master of the house shall have risen up and shut the door, and ye begin to stand without and knock at the door saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and He shall answer and say to you, I know you not, whence ye are:
26 “Miawo miaɖo eŋu nɛ be, ‘Mí kpli wò míede asi agba ɖeka me ɖu nu kpɔ, eye nèfia nu le míaƒe ablɔwo dzi hã kpɔ.’
then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drank in thy presence,
27 “Ke agaɖo eŋu na mi be, ‘Megblɔe na mi be nyemenya mi o. Miate ŋu ava eme o, elabena nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo mienye. Midzo le afi ma.’
and thou hast taught in our streets, But He will say, I tell you, I know you not, whence ye are; depart from me all ye workers of iniquity:
28 “Miafa avi aɖu aɖukli le esime miele tsitre ɖe xexe le Abraham, Isak, Yakob kple nyagblɔɖila siwo katã le mawufiaɖuƒea me la kpɔm ɖo ɖa.
and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves shut out.
29 Amewo atso ɣedzeƒe kple ɣetoɖoƒe kple anyiehe kple dziehe ava eye woanɔ kplɔ̃ ŋu le mawufiaɖuƒe la me.
Yea they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 Mina nya sia nanɔ susu me na mi be ame siwo womebuna ɖe naneke me fifia o la axɔ bubu gã aɖe le dziƒo, eye ame siwo nye ame ŋkutawo le afi sia la, womabu wo ɖe naneke me le afi ma o.”
And behold, there are some last who shall be first, and there are first that shall be last.
31 Le ɣeyiɣi sia me la, Farisitɔ aɖewo va gblɔ nɛ be, “Ne èdi be yeatsi agbe la, ekema dzo le afi sia, elabena Fia Herod le diwòm be yeawu.”
At the same time came some of the pharisees, and said to Him, Go out and depart hence, for Herod intends to kill thee.
32 Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Miyi ɖagblɔ na ayetɔ ma be manɔ gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo nyanya dzi, eye mawɔ nukunu geɖewo, ayɔ dɔ amewo egbea kple etsɔ. Ke le ŋkeke etɔ̃a gbe la, mawu nye dɔ nu, eye maɖo afi si yim mele.
And He said to them, Go, tell that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and to-morrow; and in a little while I am to be perfected:
33 Ɛ̃, egbea, etsɔ kple ŋkeke si akplɔe ɖo la, mawu nye dɔ nu! Elabena menyo be Mawu ƒe nyagblɔɖila aɖeke naku ɖe afi aɖeke tsɔ wu Yerusalem o.
but I must procede to-day and to-morrow and the following; for it cannot be supposed that a prophet should be cut off but in Jerusalem.
34 “O, Yerusalem, Yerusalem! Du si me tɔwo wua nyagblɔɖilawo, eye woƒua kpe ame siwo woɖo ɖa be woakpe ɖe wo ŋu la. Zi geɖe la, medina vevie bena maƒo mia viwo nu ƒu abe ale si koklonɔ ƒoa viawo nu ƒui ɖe eƒe aʋala te ene, gake mieɖe mɔ nam o.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and ye would not?
35 Fifia miaƒe aƒee ma zu aƒedo. Mele egblɔm na mi be, miegale kpɔ nye ge o, va se ɖe esime miagblɔ be, ‘Woayra ame si gbɔna le Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋkɔ me.’”
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I assure you ye shall not see me again till the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.
