The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.

The LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth Haggoyim.

The children of Israel cried to the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
4 Ame si nɔ ʋɔnu drɔ̃m na Israel ɣe ma ɣie nye nyɔnu Nyagblɔɖila Debora, Lapidot srɔ̃.
Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
She lived under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
6 Gbe ɖeka la, Debora yɔ Barak, Abinoam ƒe vi, ame si nɔ Kedes le Naftalinyigba dzi eye wògblɔ nɛ be, “Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la de se na wò be, ‘Yi, nàƒo ƒu aʋawɔla akpe ewo tso Naftali ƒe viwo kple Zebulon ƒe viwo dome eye nàkplɔ wo ayi Tabɔr to la dzi.
She sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh Naphtali, and said to him, "Hasn't the LORD, the God of Israel, commanded, 'Go and draw to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men of the people of Naphtali and of the people of Zebulun?

I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.'"
8 Barak ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Nenye be wò ŋutɔ àyi kplim la, ekema mayi gake ne màyi kplim o la, nyemayi o.”
Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go, for I do not know the day on which the LORD prospers his angel with me."
9 Debora ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Enyo ŋutɔ, mayi kpli wò gake ɖe ale si nèle nya la ŋuti dɔ wɔmii ta la, bubu la manye tɔwò o elabena Yehowa atsɔ Sisera ade asi na nyɔnu.” Ale Debora yi Kedes kple Barak,
She said, "I will surely go with you, but know that the journey that you take will not be for your honor; for the LORD will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
10 afi si wòyɔ Zebulon kple Naftali ƒe toawo ƒo ƒu ɖo. Ŋutsu akpe ewo dze eyome eye Debora hã yi kplii.
Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the descendants of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.
12 Esi wogblɔ na Sisera be Barak, Abinoam ƒe vi, yi Tabɔr toa dzi la
And it was reported to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.
13 eƒo aʋakɔ gã aɖe nu ƒu, si si gatasiaɖam alafa asiekɛ nɔ, eye woɖe zɔ tso Haroset Hagoyim yi Kison tɔsisi la to.
Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Haggoyim, to the river Kishon.
14 Debora gblɔ na Barak be, “Yi! Le egbeŋkeke sia dzi, Yehowa tsɔ Sisera de asiwò me. Ɖe Yehowa medze ŋgɔ na wò oa?” Ale Barak ɖi tso Tabɔr to la dzi eye ŋutsu akpe ewoawo nɔ eyome.
Deborah said to Barak, "Arise, for this is the day in which the LORD has delivered Sisera into your hand. Hasn't the LORD gone out before you?" So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
15 Esi Barak zɔ gbɔna la, Yehowa de tɔtɔ Sisera, eƒe tasiaɖamwo kple aʋakɔ la dome kple yi eye Sisera ŋutɔ ɖi le eƒe tasiaɖam me heto afɔ si.
The LORD confused Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera got off from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the army, to Harosheth Haggoyim: and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left.
However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
18 Yael do go yi ɖakpe Sisera eye wògblɔ nɛ be, “Amegã, va nye agbadɔ me, makpɔ tawò eye ànɔ dedie eya ta mègavɔ̃ o.” Ale Sisera yi ɖamlɔ agbadɔ la me eye Yael tsyɔ kundru nɛ.
Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, "Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; do not be afraid." He came in to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.
19 Sisera gblɔ na Yael be, “Meɖe kuku, tsikɔ le wuyem, na tsim mano.”
He said to her, "Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty." She opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
20 Sisera gblɔ na Yael be, “Tsi tre ɖe wò agbadɔ la ƒe mɔnu eye ne ame aɖe va le diyem la, gblɔ nɛ be, ame aɖeke mele afi sia o.”
He said to her, "Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man comes and inquires of you, and says, 'Is there any man here?' that you shall say, 'No.'"
21 Yael tsɔ agbadɔ la ƒe tsyoti tsutsɔe aɖe kple zu, te ɖe Sisera ŋu dzaa esi wònɔ alɔ̃ me, eye wòƒo tsyoti la ɖe eƒe to me wòdo to to evelia me hemimi eƒe ta ɖe anyigba.
Then Jael Heber's wife took a tent peg, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep; so he died.
22 Esi Barak va nɔ Sisera dim yina la, Yael yi ɖado goe hegblɔ nɛ be, “Va mafia ame si dim nèle la wò.” Ale Barak dze eyome yi agbadɔ la me. Ekpɔ Sisera wòku ɖe afi ma eye tsyoti la nɔ to me nɛ.
Look, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, "Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek." He came to her; and look, Sisera lay dead, and the tent peg was in his temples.
23 Ale Mawu wɔ Israel ŋu dɔ hebɔbɔ Kanaan fia Yabin ɖe anyi le Israelviwo ŋkume.
So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
The hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
