< Yosua 21 >

1 Levitɔwo ƒe kplɔlawo va Silo be yewoalé nya aɖe akpɔ kple nunɔla Eleazar kple Yosua kple Israel ƒe to vovovoawo ƒe kplɔlawo.
And the leaders of the families of Levi approached Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the rulers of the extended families of each of the tribes of the sons of Israel.
2 Wogblɔ na takpekpe la be, “Yehowa ɖo na eƒe dɔla, Mose, be wòatsɔ du aɖewo ana mí Levitɔwo, woanye aƒe na mí kple lãnyiƒe na míaƒe lãwo.”
And they spoke to them at Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, and they said, “The Lord instructed, by the hand of Moses, that cities should be given to us as habitations, with their suburbs to nourish our cattle.”
3 Eya ta Israelviwo tsɔ du siwo dzi woɖu la dometɔ aɖewo kple woƒe lãnyiƒewo na Levitɔwo abe ale si Yehowa gblɔ ene.
And so the sons of Israel gave cities and their suburbs from their possessions, in accord with the order of the Lord.
4 Levi ƒome la ƒe akpa si tso Kohat ƒe hlɔ̃ me lae nye ame gbãtɔ siwo wona anyigbae. Aron ƒe dzidzimeviwo hã xɔ du wuietɔ̃ siwo nye: Yuda, Simeon kple Benyamin ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba ƒe akpa aɖe.
And the lot went out for the family of Kohath, of the sons of Aaron, the priest, from the tribes of Judah and Simeon and Benjamin: thirteen cities.
5 Wotsɔ du ewo tso Efraim ƒe viwo ƒe duwo me na Kohat ƒe ƒome bubuawo.
And to the remainder of the sons of Kohath, that is, to the Levites who were left over, there went, from the tribes of Ephraim and Dan, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6 Gerson ƒe viwo xɔ du wuietɔ̃ siwo wotia to akɔdada me tso du siwo le Basan la me. Isaka ƒe viwo, Aser ƒe viwo, Naftali ƒe viwo kple Manase ƒe to ƒe afã ɖe asi le du siawo ŋu na wo.
And next the lot went out to the sons of Gershon, so that they would receive, from the tribes of Issachar and Asher and Naphtali, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh at Bashan: the number of thirteen cities.
7 Merari ƒe viwo xɔ du wuieve tso Ruben ƒe viwo, Gad ƒe viwo kple Zebulon ƒe viwo gbɔ.
And to the sons of Merari, by their families, from the tribes of Reuben and Gad and Zebulun, there went twelve cities.
8 Ale wowɔ ɖe nu si Yehowa ɖo na Mose la dzi, eye woma du siawo kple lãnyiƒe siwo le wo ŋu la to akɔdada me.
And so the sons of Israel gave cities and their suburbs to the Levites, just as the Lord instructed by the hand of Moses, distributing to each by lot.
9 Esiawoe nye du siwo woxɔ tso Yuda ƒe viwo kple Simeon ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi
From the tribes of the sons of Judah and Simeon, Joshua gave cities, whose names are these:
10 na Aron ƒe dzidzimeviwo, ame siwo wɔ Kohat hlɔ̃, eye wodzɔ tso Levi me. Woawoe nye ame gbãtɔ siwo wona anyigbae.
to the sons of Aaron, of the families of Kohath of the stock of Levi, (for the first lot went out for them, )
11 Wotsɔ Arba du, si wotsɔ Arba, Anak fofo ƒe ŋkɔ na, eye woyɔnɛ azɔ be Hebron le Yuda ƒe tonyigba dzi la na wo, kpe ɖe lãnyiƒe si ƒo xlãe la ŋu.
the city of Arba, the father of Anak, which is called Hebron, on the mountain of Judah, and its surrounding suburbs.
12 Ke wotsɔ agblenyigba siwo le dua kple kɔƒe siwo le eŋu la na Kaleb, Yefune ƒe vi, abe eƒe domenyinu ene xoxo.
Yet truly, the fields and its villages he had given to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, as a possession.
13 Hekpe ɖe Hebron si nye sitsoƒeduwo dometɔ ɖeka ŋu la, du siwo wogatsɔ na nunɔla Aron ƒe dzidzimeviwo la woe nye Libna,
Therefore, he gave to the sons of Aaron the priest, Hebron as a city of refuge, as well as its suburbs, and Libnah, with its suburbs,
14 Yatir, Estemoa,
and Jattir, and Eshtemoa,
15 Holon, Debir,
and Holon, and Debir,
16 Ain, Yuta kple Bet Semes kple lãnyiƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo. Wonye du asiekɛ tso Yuda ƒe viwo kple Simeon ƒe viwo ƒe anyigbawo me.
and Ain, and Juttah, and Beth-shemesh, with their suburbs: nine cities from two tribes, just as has been said.
17 Wona du ene siawo wo, le Benyamin ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi: Gibeon, Geba,
Then, from the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, he gave Gibeon, and Geba,
18 Anatɔt kple Almon kple lãnyiƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo.
and Anathoth, and Almon, with their suburbs: four cities.
19 Ale wotsɔ du wuietɔ̃ kple lãnyiƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo la na nunɔlawo, Aron ƒe dzidzimeviwo.
All the cities together of the sons of Aaron, the priest, were thirteen, with their suburbs.
20 Wotsɔ du aɖewo tso Efraim ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi na ƒome bubu aɖewo tso Kohat hlɔ̃ la me.
Yet truly, the remainder of the families of the sons of Kohath, of the stock of Levi, were given this possession:
21 Wotsɔ du ene siawo le Efraim tonyigba la dzi la na wo: Sekem si nye sitsoƒeduwo dometɔ ɖeka kple lãnyiƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo le Efraim ƒe tonyigba la dzi, Gezer,
from the tribe of Ephraim, Shechem, one of the cities of refuge, with its suburbs, on mount Ephraim, and Gezer,
22 Kibzaim kple Bet Horon kple wo ŋu lãnyiƒewo.
and Kibzaim, and Beth-horon, with their suburbs, four cities;
23 Wotsɔ du ene siawo, Elteke, Gibeton,
and from the tribe of Dan, Elteke and Gibbethon,
24 Aiyalon kple Gat Rimon kple wo ŋu lãnyiƒewo na wo tso Dan ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi.
and Aijalon and Gath-Rimmon, with their suburbs, four cities;
25 Wotsɔ du eve na wo le Manase ƒe viwo ƒe to afã la ƒe anyigba dzi; du siawoe nye Taanak kple Gat Rimon kpe ɖe woƒe lãnyiƒewo ŋu.
then, from the one half tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and Gath-Rimmon, with their suburbs, two cities.
26 Ale ƒome siwo tso Kohat hlɔ̃ la me la, xɔ du ewo kple lãnyiƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo.
All the cities were ten, with their suburbs; these were given to the sons of Kohath, of the lesser degree.
27 Levitɔ bubu siwo tso Gerson hlɔ̃ la me la xɔ du eve kple woƒe lãnyiƒewo: le Manase ƒe viwo ƒe ɣedzeƒenyigba dzi. Du siawoe nye Golan le Basan, si nye sitsoƒeduwo dometɔ ɖeka kple Be Estera.
Likewise, to the sons of Gershon, of the stock of Levi, from the one half tribe of Manasseh, went Golan in Bashan, one of the cities of refuge, and Bosra, with their suburbs, two cities;
28 Woxɔ du ene siawo le Isaka ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi: Kision, Daberat,
also, from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion, and Daberath,
29 Yarmut kple En Ganim, kpe ɖe woƒe lãnyiƒewo ŋu siwo le du ene.
and Jarmuth, and Engannim, with their suburbs, four cities;
30 Woxɔ du ene siawo le Aser ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi: Misal, Abdon,
then, from the tribe of Asher, Mishal and Abdon,
31 Helkat kple Rehob, kpe ɖe wo ŋu lãnyiƒewo ŋu siwo le du ene.
and Helkath and Rehob, with their suburbs, four cities;
32 Woxɔ du etɔ̃ le Naftali ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi: Kedes le Galilea si nye Sitsoƒeduwo dometɔ ɖeka kple Hamot Dor kple Kartan kple wo ŋu lãnyiƒewo siwo le du etɔ̃.
likewise, from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, one of the cities of refuge, and Hammoth-Dor, and Kartan, with their suburbs, three cities.
33 Ale ƒome vovovoawo tso Gerson ƒe hlɔ̃ la me xɔ du wuietɔ̃ kple woƒe lãnyiƒewo.
All the cities of the families of Gershon were thirteen, with their suburbs.
34 Levitɔ mamlɛawo, ame siwo nye Merari ƒe hlɔ̃ la xɔ du ene siawo: le Zebulon ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi: Yokneam, Karta,
Then, to the sons of Merari, Levites of the lesser degree, by their families, were given, from the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and Kartah,
35 Dimna kple Nahalal kple woƒe lãnyiƒewo siwo nye du ene.
and Dimnah and Nahalal, four cities with their suburbs;
36 Woxɔ du ene, Bezer, Yahaz,
from the tribe of Reuben, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho, Bezer in the wilderness, one of the cities of refuge, Misor and Jazer, and Jethson and Mephaath, four cities with their suburbs;
37 Kedemot kple Mefaat kple wo ŋu lãnyiƒewo le Ruben ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi siwo le du ene.
from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth of Gilead, one of the cities of refuge, and Mahanaim and Heshbon and Jazer, four cities with their suburbs.
38 Woxɔ du ene le Gad ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi: Ramot le Gilead si nye sitsoƒeduwo dometɔ ɖeka, Mahanaim,
39 Hesbon kple Yazer kple lãnyiƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo.
40 Ale du siwo katã wodzidze nu tsɔ na Merari ƒe hlɔ̃ siwo nye Levitɔwo ƒe ƒome mamlɛawo la le du wuieve.
All the cities of the sons of Merari, by their families and extended families, were twelve.
41 Du siwo katã nɔ Levitɔwo si le Israelnyigba dzi la, le blaene-vɔ-enyi kpe ɖe woƒe lãnyiƒewo ŋu.
And so all the cities of the Levites, in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel, were forty-eight,
42 Lãnyiƒewo ƒo xlã du siawo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe, aleae wònɔ na du ɖe sia ɖe.
with their suburbs, each distributed by families.
43 Ale Yehowa tsɔ anyigba si ŋugbe wòdo na wo tɔgbuiwo la katã na Israelviwo. Woyi ɖaɖu ameawo dzi, eye wonɔ afi ma.
And the Lord God gave to Israel all the land that he had sworn he would deliver to their fathers. And they possessed it, and they lived in it.
44 Yehowa na ŋutifafa wo abe ale si wòdo ŋugbe ene; ame aɖeke mete ŋu nɔ te ɖe wo nu o. Yehowa kpe ɖe wo ŋu woɖu woƒe futɔwo katã dzi.
And he gave them peace with all the surrounding nations. And none of their enemies dared to stand against them; instead, they were brought under their sovereignty.
45 Ale nu nyui siwo katã ŋugbe Yehowa do na wo la va eme nenema tututu.
Indeed, not so much as one word that he had promised to provide for them was left empty; instead, everything was fulfilled.
