1 Simeon ƒe viwo nye to evelia si wona anyigbae. Yuda ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba ƒe akpa aɖe ge ɖe Simeon ƒe viwo tɔ me.
The second lot cast went to the tribe of Simeon, by families. The land was within the land allotted to the tribe of Judah.
2 Du wuiadre kple wo ŋu kɔƒe siwo nɔ anyigba si wona Simeon ƒe viwo me la woe nye: Beerseba, Seba, Molada,
Their allocation included Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah,
3 Hazar Sual, Bala, Ezem,
Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 Eltolad, Betul, Horma,
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 Ziklag, Bet Markabot, Hazar Susa,
Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah,
6 Bet Lebaot kple Saruhen. Du asieke kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen—thirteen towns with their associated villages.
7 Ain, Rimon, Eter kple Asan. Du ene kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
Also: Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan—four towns with their associated villages,
8 Wotsɔ du siwo nɔ anyigbeme yi keke Balat Beer, si wogayɔna be (Rama le Negeb) la. Esiawo hã wotsɔ na Simeon ƒe viwo.
as well as all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath-beer (or Ramah of the Negev). This was the land allotted to the tribe of Simeon, by families.
9 Ale Simeon ƒe viwo ƒe domenyinu tso nu si wotsɔ na Yuda ƒe viwo gbã la me, elabena nu si wona Yuda ƒe viwo gbã la lolo na wo akpa.
The allocation of the tribe of Simeon was part of that given to the tribe of Judah, since what the tribe of Judah had received was too large for them.
10 To etɔ̃lia si wona anyigbae lae nye Zebulon ƒe viwo. Woƒe anyigba la ƒe liƒo dze egɔme tso Sarid ƒe anyigbeme.
The third lot cast went to the tribe of Zebulun, by families. The boundary of their allocation began at Sarid,
11 Eƒo xlã tso afi sia yi ɣetoɖoƒe, te ɖe Marala kple Dabeset ŋu va ɖo Yokneam tɔʋu la ŋu.
and then went west past Maralah, touched Dabbeshah, and then the brook near Jokneam.
12 Le go kemɛ dzi la, liƒo la ɖo ta ɣedzeƒe va ɖo Kislot Tabor ƒe liƒo dzi, heyi Daberat kple Yafia.
Going the other way from Sarid, the boundary headed east to the border of Kislot-tabor, on to Daberath, and then up to Japhia.
13 Eyi ŋgɔ ɖo ta Gat Hefer, Et Kazin kple Rimono ƒe ɣedzeƒe hafi trɔ ɖo ta Nea.
From there it ran east to Gath-hepher, Eth-kazin, and on to Rimmon, and turned towards Neah.
14 Zebulon ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba ƒe anyieheliƒo to Hanaton hewu nu ɖe Ifta El ƒe balime.
There the boundary turned north to Hannathon, ending at the valley of Iphtah-el.
15 Kata, Nahalal, Simron, Idala kple Betlehem kple du sue siwo ƒo xlã wo la hã nɔ woƒe anyigba me.
The towns included: Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem—twelve towns with their associated villages.
16 Du wuieve siawo kple kɔƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo la nɔ Zebulon ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba me.
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Zebulun, by families.
17 To enelia si wona anyigbae lae nye Isaka ƒe viwo ƒe ƒomewo.
The fourth lot cast went to the tribe of Issachar, by families.

Their land included these towns: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,

Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,

21 Remet, En Ganim, En Hada, Bet Pazez.
Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez.

The boundary also reached the towns of Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and ended at the Jordan River—sixteen towns with their associated villages.
23 Du wuiade siawo kple du sue siwo ƒo xlã wo lae nɔ anyigba la dzi. Isaka ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba yi ɖatɔ Yɔdan tɔsisi la.
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Zebulun, by families.

The fifth lot cast went to the tribe of Asher, by families.

Their allocation included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
26 Alamelek, Amad kple Misal. Anyigba sia ƒe ɣedzeƒeliƒo tso Karmel yi Sihor Libnat
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. Their boundary reached Carmel and Shihor-libnat in the west.

Then it turned east towards Beth-dagon, reaching the land of Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el. From there it headed north to Beth-emek and Neiel, and continued north to Cabul, and on through to

Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob—twenty-two towns with their associated villages.
31 Aser viwo ƒe anyigba me duwo de blaeve-vɔ-eve kpe ɖe du sue siwo ƒo xlã wo la ŋu.
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Asher, by families.
32 To adelia si wona anyigbae lae nye Naftali.
The sixth lot cast went to the tribe of Naphtali, by families.
33 Eƒe liƒo dze egɔme tso Helef, le ʋuti si le Zaananim gbɔ. Eyi Adami Nekeb, Yabneel kple Lakum hetɔ Yɔdan tɔsisi la.
Their boundary began at Heleph, by the oak at Zaananim, and went across to Adami-nekeb, Jabneel, and up to Lakkum, and ending at the Jordan.
34 Eƒe ɣetoɖoƒeliƒo dze egɔme tso Helef, dze to Aznɔt Tabɔr ŋu yi Hukok hewɔ ɖeka kple Zebulon ƒe liƒo le dziehe. Anyigba sia ƒe liƒo gawɔ ɖeka kple Aser ƒe viwo tɔ le ɣetoɖoƒe lɔƒo. Eƒe ɣedzeƒeliƒoe nye Yɔdan tɔsisi la.
Then the boundary headed west to Aznoth-tabor, and on to Hukkok. It reached the land of Zebulun on the south, the land of Asher on the west, and the Jordan on the east.

The fortified towns included: Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,

The seventh lot cast went to the tribe of Dan, by families.

42 Salabin, Aiyalon, Itla,
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
43 Elon, Timna, Ekron,

44 Elteke, Gibeton, Baalat,
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 Yehud, Bene Berak, Gat Rimon,
Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon,

47 (Dan ƒe viwo mete ŋu xɔ anyigba la bɔbɔe o, eya ta wowɔ aʋa kple Lesen du la, eye woxɔe. Wonɔ afi ma, eye wotsɔ wo tɔgbui Dan ƒe ŋkɔ na teƒea).
However, the tribe of Dan was not able to hold on to their allotted land, so they went and attacked Leshem and captured it. They slaughtered its inhabitants and took possession of the town, settling there. They renamed Leshem as Dan, after their ancestor.
48 Du siawo kple wo ŋu kɔƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo nye domenyinu si Dan ƒe viwo xɔ.
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Dan, by families.
49 Ale woma anyigba la ɖe toawo dome, eye wode liƒo wo ŋu. Israel dukɔ la tsɔ anyigba la ƒe akpa tɔxɛ aɖe na Nun ƒe vi Yosua,
After they finished allotting the land and establishing its borders, the Israelites gave Joshua, son of Nun, an allocation among them.
50 elabena Yehowa gblɔ be Yosua ate ŋu atia du sia du si adze eŋu. Etia Timnat Sera le Efraim ƒe tonyigba dzi, gbugbɔe tu, eye wònɔ afi ma.
Following the Lord's command, they gave him the town he requested—Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the town and settled there.
51 Nunɔla Eleazar, Yosua kple Israel ƒe towo ƒe kplɔlawo kpɔ akɔdada la dzi hena anyigba la mama ɖe toawo dome. Woda akɔ sia le Yehowa ŋkume le Agbadɔ la ƒe mɔnu le Silo.
These were the allocations distributed by Eleazar the priest, Joshua, son of Nun, and the leaders of the Israelite tribes. They were made by casting lots at Shiloh in the presence of the Lord at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing up the land.
