< Yosua 18 >

1 Esi Israelviwo xɔ anyigba vɔ megbe la, wo katã wova kpe ta ɖe Silo, eye wotu Yehowa ƒe Agbadɔ ɖe afi ma.
The land had been subdued and lay before them. The Israelites gathered together at Shiloh and set up the Tent of Meeting.
2 Womema anyigba na Israel ƒe to adre haɖe o.
However, seven of the Israelite tribes had not received their land allocations.
3 Ale Yosua bia Israelviwo be, “Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣie mialala hafi anya ame siwo le anyigba si Yehowa, mia Mawu la na mi la dzi?
So Joshua asked the Israelites, “How long will you go on being reluctant to go and take possession of the land that the Lord gave your forefathers?
4 Mitia ame etɔ̃ tso to ɖe sia ɖe me, eye madɔ wo ɖa be woayi aɖatsa ŋku le afi siwo dzi míeɖu haɖe o la dzi, ale be woana manya woƒe lolome kple anyigba la ƒe lolome si to ɖe sia ɖe adi be yeaxɔ, ekema mate ŋu amae na mi.
Choose three men from each tribe and I will send them out to explore the land. Then they can write a description regarding the land allocations and bring it to me.
5 Mama anyigba la ɖe akpa adre me: Yuda ƒe viwo anɔ woƒe anyigba dzi le dziehe, eye Yosef ƒe viwo anɔ anyiehe.
They are to divide the land into seven parts, up to the boundary of Judah's land in the south and Joseph's land in the north.
6 Miŋlɔ nu tso anyigba la ƒe akpa adreawo ŋu tsɔ vɛ nam. Ekema mada akɔ ɖe edzi le Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu la ŋkume ale be manya ale si mama anyigba lae.
Once you have written the description the land, dividing it in seven parts, you will bring it to me here and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the Lord our God.
7 Ke miɖo ŋku edzi be womama anyigba na Levitɔwo o, elabena Yehowa ƒe nunɔlawo wonye, eye woƒe nunɔladɔe nye woƒe domenyinu wɔnuku la. Gad ƒe viwo kple Ruben ƒe viwo kple Manase ƒe viwo ƒe afã magaxɔ anyigba aɖeke o, elabena woxɔ anyigba xoxo le Yɔdan tɔsisi la ƒe ɣedzeƒe, afi si ŋugbe Mose do na wo.”
But the Levites do not receive a share, for their role as priests of the Lord is their allocation. Also, Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received their allocation that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave them on the east side of the Jordan.”
8 Ame siwo wotia la dze mɔ be woata anyigba la vɛ na Yosua ekema ate ŋu ama anyigba la na toawo to akɔdada le Yehowa ŋkume me.
As the men started out on their way to explore the land. Joshua told them, “Go throughout the land and write a description of what you find. Then return to me and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the Lord here in Shiloh.”
9 Ame tiatiawo wɔ abe ale si woɖo na wo ene. Woma anyigba la ɖe akpa adre me, woŋlɔ du siwo nɔ mama ɖe sia ɖe me la da ɖi, eye wotrɔ va Yosua gbɔ le asaɖa la me le Silo.
So the men went and explored the land and wrote down on a scroll a description of the seven parts, recording the towns in each part. Then they returned to Joshua at the camp in Shiloh
10 Le afi ma, le asaɖa la me le Silo la, Yehowa fia Yosua to akɔdada la me, ale si wòama anyigba lae na to vovovoawo.
where Joshua cast lots for them in the presence of the Lord. There Joshua divided the land up and allotted the different parts to the remaining Israelite tribes.
11 Anyigba si wotsɔ na Benyamin ƒe viwo la nɔ Yuda ƒe viwo kple Yosef ƒe viwo ƒe anyigbawo dome.
The first lot cast went to the tribe of Benjamin, by families. The land allotted lay between that of the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Joseph.
12 Benyamin ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba ƒe anyiehe dze egɔme tso Yɔdan tɔsisi la to, yi Yeriko ƒe anyiehe, to tonyigba la kple Bet Aven gbegbe la dzi.
Their boundary began at the Jordan, and went north of the slope of Jericho, west through the hill country, coming out at the wilderness of Beth-aven.
13 Liƒo la tso afi ma ɖo ta dziehe yi Luz, afi si wogayɔna be Betel, heyi Atarot Ada, le Bet Horon ƒe tonyigba dzi le dziehe.
Then the boundary went south to Luz (or Bethel) and on down to Ataroth-addar on the mountain south of Lower Beth-horon.
14 Liƒo la trɔ tso afi ma ɖo ta dziehe, eto to si le Bet Horon kasa le dziehe hewu nu ɖe Kiriat Baal, du si wogayɔna be Kiriat Yearim, si nye Yuda ƒe viwo ƒe duwo dometɔ ɖeka la gbɔ. Esiae nye Benyamin ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba ƒe ɣetoɖoƒeliƒo.
Here the boundary turned south along the western side of the mountain facing Beth-horon, finishing at Kiriath-baal (or Kiriath-jearim), a town of the tribe of Judah. This was the western boundary.
15 Anyigba la ƒe anyigbemeliƒo tso Kiriat Yearim du la to, yi Efrɔn to la dzi, yi Naftoa vudo la gbɔ,
The southern boundary began at the edge of Kiriath-jearim. It ran to the spring at Nephtoah,
16 heyi to si le Ben Hinom ƒe Balime le Refaim ƒe balime ƒe anyiehe gome. Etso afi ma, heto Hinom ƒe balime hetrɔ yi dziehe gome, afi si Yebusitɔwo nɔ, eye wòyi ɖatɔ En Rogel.
and then down to the foot of the mountain that faces the valley of Ben-hinnom, at the north end of the valley of Rephaim. Then it went down the valley of Hinnom, along the slope near the Jebusite town, south towards En-rogel.
17 Tso En Rogel la, liƒo la ɖo ta anyiehe kple ɣedzeƒe gome yi En Semes kple Gelilot le Adumim ƒe akpa kemɛ. Etrɔ tso afi ma ɖo ta Bohan, Ruben ƒe vi ƒe kpe la gbɔ,
From there it headed north to En-shemesh and on to Geliloth, opposite the heights of Adummim, and then on down to the Stone of Bohan (Reuben's son).
18 eye wòzɔ Bet Araba ƒe anyieheliƒo la ŋu heyi Araba.
Then it went along the ridge opposite the Jordan Valley to the north, and then down into the Jordan Valley itself.
19 Egaɖo ta dziehe, dze le Bet Hogla ŋu, eye wòwu nu ɖe Dzeƒu la to. Teƒe siae nye Yɔdan tɔsisi la ƒe seƒe le dziehe gome.
From there it ran along the north slope of Beth-hoglah, ending at the north bay of the Salt Sea, the southern end of the Jordan. This was the southern boundary.
20 Yɔdan tɔsisi lae nye anyigba sia ƒe ɣedzeƒeliƒo. Anyigba siae wotsɔ na Benyamin ƒe viwo.
The eastern boundary was the Jordan. These were the boundaries around the land of the tribe of Benjamin, by families.
21 Du blaeve-vɔ-ade siwo nɔ anyigba sia dzi la woe nye: Yeriko, Bet Hogla, Emek Keziz,
These were the towns of the tribe of Benjamin, according to families: Jericho, Beth-hoglah, Emek-keziz,
22 Bet Araba, Zemaraim, Betel,
Beth-arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
23 Avim, Para, Ofra,
Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,
24 Kefar Amoni, Ofni, Geba. Du wuieve kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
Kephar-ammoni, Ophni, and Geba—twelve towns with their associated villages.
25 Gibeon, Rama, Beerot,
In addition: Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
26 Mizpeh, Kefira, Moza,
Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah,
27 Rekem, Irpeel, Tarala,
Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
28 Zela, Haelef, Yebus (alo Yerusalem), Gibea kple Kiriat Yearim. Wo katã le du wuiene. Wotsɔ du wuiene siawo kple kɔƒe siwo katã ƒo xlã wo la na Benyamin ƒe ƒome la.
Zela, Haeleph, Jebus (or Jerusalem), Gibeah, and Kiriath-jearim—fourteen towns with their associated villages. This was the land allotted to the tribe of Benjamin, by families.
