1 Yosef ƒe vi siawo, ame siwo nye Efraim kple Manase ƒe viwo la, ƒe anyigba dze egɔme tso Yɔdan tɔsisi la ŋu le Yeriko, to gbegbe la va yi tonyigba la dzi le Betel,
The land that was allotted to [the two tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh that were descended from] Joseph started at the Jordan [River], east of the springs at Jericho.
2 to afi ma yi Luz kple Atarɔt
It extended west from Jericho to the hilly area near Bethel, which is also called Luz. It extended as far as Ataroth, at the border of the land where the Arki people-group lived.
3 le Arkitɔwo ƒe anyigba dzi, ɖo ta ɣetoɖoƒe, yi Yafletitɔwo ƒe liƒo dzi, yi keke Bet Horon le gbadzaƒe, to Gezer heyi ɖatɔ Domeƒu la.
From there it extended west to the border of the land where the Japhleti people-group lived, and then it extended west to the area near Lower Beth-Horon. From there it extended west to Gezer [city] and from there to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
4 Esiae nye anyigba si Yosef ƒe viwo, Manase kple Efraim woxɔ.
That is the land that the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh were allotted.
5 Esiae nye Efraim ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba le woƒe ƒome nu. Efraim ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba ƒe liƒo tso Atarot Ada ɖo ta ɣedzeƒe heyi Bet Horon le toawo dzi,
The border of the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Ephraim started at Ataroth-Addar [city] in the east. It extended to Upper Beth-Horon
6 eye wòtso afi ma yi Domeƒu la ŋu. Mixmetat nɔ eƒe anyiehe lɔƒo. Liƒo la bi ɖo ta ɣedzeƒe; edze le Taanat Silo ŋu le Yanoa ƒe ɣedzeƒe
and from there to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
7 hetrɔ yi anyigbeme, yi Atarɔt kple Naara, ɖatɔ Yeriko, eye wòwu nu ɖe Yɔdan tɔsisi la nu.
From Michmethath [on the north] it extended east to Taanath and from there on to Janoah. From there it extended [south] to Ataroth [city] and to Naarah [town]. From there it extended to Jericho and from there to the Jordan [River].
8 Eƒe ɣedzeƒeliƒo ƒe afã le dzigbeme gome tso Tapua, to Kana tɔʋu la ŋu yi ɖatɔ Domeƒu la. Esia nye Efraimviwo ƒe to la ƒe anyigba le woƒe ƒomeawo nu.
The [northern] border extended from Tappuah west to Kanah Ravine, and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. That was the land that was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim.
9 Wotsɔ du aɖewo tso Manase to la ƒe afã ƒe anyigba dzi hã na Efraim ƒe viwo.
Many of those towns were really within the area allotted to the tribe of Manasseh.
10 Womenya Kanaantɔ siwo nɔ Gezer la ɖa le anyigba la dzi o, ale wogale Efraim ƒe viwo dome abe kluviwo ene.
The people of the tribe of Ephraim could not force the Canaan people-group to leave Gezer, so the Canaan people-group still live among the people of the tribe of Ephraim, but the Israelis forced the people of the Canaan people-group to become their slaves.
