1 Yosua tsi heku amegã azɔ, eye Yehowa gblɔ nɛ be, “Fifia, èzu amegãɖeɖi, evɔ dukɔ geɖewo gali siwo dzi wòle be miaɖu.
Joshua was old and advanced in age, and the Lord said to him: “You have grown old, and are aged, and a very wide land remains, which has not yet been divided by lot,
2 “Anyigba siwo kpɔtɔ la woe nye: “Filisti kple Gesur dukɔwo ƒe anyigba
specifically, all of Galilee, Philistia, and all of Geshur;
3 si tso Sixor tɔsisi la gbɔ le Egipte ƒe liƒo dzi heyi anyiehe ke, elabena wobu anyigba si va tɔ Ekron ƒe liƒo la abe Kanaantɔwo ƒe anyigba ene. Filistitɔwo ƒe fiawo nɔ Gaza, Asdod, Askelon, Gat kple Ekron; hekpe ɖe Avitɔwo ŋu
from the muddy river, which irrigates Egypt, as far as the border of Ekron toward the north, the land of Canaan, which is divided among the rulers of Philistia: the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gathites, and the Ekronites;
4 le dziehe; Kanaantɔwo ƒe anyigba la katã gali kpe ɖe Ara, si nye Sidontɔwo tɔ heyi keke Afek le Amoritɔwo ƒe liƒo dzi ŋu.
truly, to the south are the Hivites, all the land of Canaan, and Mearah of the Sidonians, as far as Aphek and the borders of the Amorite
5 Gebalitɔwo ƒe anyigba kple Lebanonyigba blibo la ɖo ta ɣedzeƒe, tso Baal Gad, si le Hermon to la ƒe anyigbeme heyi Hamat mɔ la nu.
and his confines; also, the region of Lebanon toward the east, from Baalgad, under mount Hermon, until you enter into Hamath;
6 “Sidontɔwo, ame siwo le tonyigba la dzi le Lebanon towo kple Misrefat Maim dome la ƒe anyigba hã le eme. Mele klalo be manya dukɔ siawo katã ɖa le Israel dukɔ la ŋgɔ, eya ta bu anyigba siawo katã abe mia tɔwo ene,
all who live in the mountains from Lebanon, as far as the waters of Misrephoth, and all the Sidonians. I am the One who will wipe them out, before the face of the sons of Israel. Therefore, let their land become a part of the inheritance of Israel, just as I have instructed you.
7 eye nàmae na Israel ƒe to asiekɛawo kple Manase ƒe to afã la abe ale si meɖo na wò ene.”
And now, divide the land as a possession to the nine tribes, and to the one half tribe of Manasseh.”
8 Manase ƒe to la ƒe afã kple Ruben ƒe viwo kple Gad ƒe viwo xɔ woƒe domenyinu le Yɔdan tɔsisi la ƒe ɣedzeƒe xoxo, elabena Mose tsɔ anyigba sia na wo.
With them, Reuben and Gad have possessed the land, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, delivered to them beyond the river Jordan, on the eastern side:
9 Woƒe anyigba la nye teƒe si tso Areor, le Arnon tɔsisi la ƒe balime ƒe toga kple du siwo le balime la, to Medeba ƒe togbɛnyigba dzi yi Dibon.
from Aroer, which is situated on the bank of the torrent Arnon and in the midst of the valley, and all the plains of Medeba, as far as Dibon;
10 Sixɔn, Amoritɔwo ƒe fia, ame si ƒe fiadu nye Hesbon la ƒe duwo hã nɔ anyigba la me, eye wòtso eme yi keke Amon ƒe liƒowo dzi.
and all the cities of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, even to the borders of the sons of Ammon;
11 Gilead kple anyigba si nye Gesuritɔwo kple Makatitɔwo tɔ kple Hermon to la, Basan to la kple Saleka du la
and Gilead, as well as the borders of Geshur and Maacati, and all of mount Hermon, and all of Bashan, as far as Salecah;
12 kple Ɔg, Basan fia, ame si ɖu fia le Astarot kple Edrei la ƒe anyigba. Eyae nye Refaimtɔ mamlɛtɔ, elabena Mose ho aʋa ɖe wo ŋu, eye wònya wo ɖa le anyigba la dzi.
the entire kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned at Ashtaroth and Edrei, (he was among the last of the Rephaim). And Moses struck and destroyed them.
13 Ke Israelviwo menya Gesuritɔwo alo Makatitɔwo o, eya ta wogale Israelviwo dome va se ɖe egbe.
And the sons of Israel were not willing to destroy Geshur and Maacati, and so they have lived in the midst of Israel, even to the present day.
14 Ale si woma anyigba na Israel ƒe to vovovoawo la yi ale: Levitɔwo: Mose mena anyigba aɖeke Levitɔwo o, ke boŋ etsɔ vɔsanu siwo ameawo atsɔ vɛ na Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la na wo.
But to the tribe of Levi, he did not give a possession. Instead, the sacrifices and victims of the Lord, the God of Israel, these are his inheritance, just as he spoke to him.
15 Ruben ƒe to: Mose na anyigba Ruben ƒe to la ɖe ƒome siwo le to la me la ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ nu.
Therefore, Moses gave a possession to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, according to their families.
16 Ruben ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba tso Aroer le Arnon tɔsisi la ƒe balime ƒe toga, dze le Arnon du si le balime la ƒe titina la ŋu va dze le Medeba ƒe togbɛwo ŋu.
And their border was from Aroer, which is situated on the bank of the torrent Arnon, and in the midst of the valley of the same torrent, with all the flatlands that lead to Medeba;
17 Du siwo nɔ afi ma la woe nye Hesbon kple du bubu siwo le gbadzaƒe: Dibon, Bamɔt Baal, Bet Baal Meon,
and Heshbon, and all their villages, which are in the plains; also Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and the town of Baalmeon,
18 Yaza, Kedemot, Mefaat,
and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 Kiriataim, Sibma, Zeret Sabar si le to aɖe dzi le balime la tame,
and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar on the mountain of the steep valley;
20 Bet Peor, Bet Yesimot kple Pisga to la kɔgo.
Bethpeor, and the descending slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;
21 Du siwo nɔ togbɛwo dzi kple Fia Sixɔn ƒe fiaɖuƒe me la hã nɔ Ruben ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba dzi. Sixɔn nye Amoritɔwo ƒe fia si nɔ Hesbon. Mose wu Fia Sixɔn kple Midian fia bubu siawo: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur kple Reba.
and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdoms of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses struck down with the leaders of Midian: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the commanders of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.
22 Israelviwo hã wu afakala Balaam si nye Beor ƒe vi la hã.
And the sons of Israel killed Balaam, the son of Beor, the seer, with the sword, along with the others who were slain.
23 Yɔdan tɔsisi lae nye Ruben ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba la ƒe liƒo le ɣedzeƒe lɔƒo.
And the river Jordan was made the border of the sons of Reuben; this is the possession of the Reubenites, by their families, in cities and villages.
24 Gad ƒe to: Mose na anyigba Gad ƒe viwo ƒe to la ɖe ƒome siwo le to la me ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ nu.
And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad and his sons, by their families, a possession, of which this is the division:
25 Yazer kple Gilead ƒe duwo katã kple Amonyigba ƒe afã heyi Aroer le Raba gbɔ nɔ Gad ƒe viwo ƒe anyigba la me.
the border of Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and one half part of the land of the sons of Ammon, as far as Aroer, which is opposite Rabbah;
26 Anyigba la gatso Hesbon yi Ramat Mizpa kple Betonim, eye wògatso Mahanaim yi Lo Debir.
and from Heshbon as far as Ramath, Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim as far as the borders of Debir;
27 Teƒe siwo le anyigba sia me le Yɔdan tɔsisi la ƒe balime la woe nye: Bet Haram, Bet Nimra, Sukɔt, Zafɔn kple Fia Sixɔn, ame si nɔ Hesbon la ƒe anyigba mamlɛa. Anyigba la ƒe liƒo le ɣetoɖoƒe lae nye, Yɔdan tɔsisi la yi anyigbeme va ɖo keke Galilea ƒu la ƒe dzigbeme.
also, in the valley Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the remaining part of the kingdom of Sihon, the king of Heshbon; the limit of this also is the Jordan, as far as the furthest part of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan on the eastern side.
28 Esiawoe nye du siwo wotsɔ na ƒome siwo le Gad ƒe to la me abe woƒe domenyinu ene.
This is the possession of the sons of Gad, by their families, in their cities and villages.
29 Mose na anyigba Manase viwo ƒe to la ƒe afã le woƒe ƒomewo nu.
He also gave, to the one half tribe of Manasseh and to his sons, a possession according to their families,
30 Ena anyigba wo tso Mahanaim. Basan blibo si nye Fia Ɔg ƒe fiaɖuƒe kple Yair kple Basan ƒe du blaade nɔ to sia ƒe anyigba me.
the beginning of which is this: from Mahanaim, all of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Og, the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty towns;
31 Wotsɔ Gilead ƒe afã, Astarot kple Edrei (du siwo le Ɔg, Basan fia ƒe fiaɖuƒe me), na Makir, Manase ƒe viwo ƒe to la ƒe afã. Esiawoe nye anyigba siwo wotsɔ na Manase ƒe vi Makir ƒe to la ƒe afã le woƒe ƒome nu.
and one half part of Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, to the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, to one half part of the sons of Machir, according to their families.
32 Aleae Mose ma anyigba si le Yɔdan tɔsisi la ƒe ɣedzeƒe, afi si ameawo ƒu asaɖa anyi ɖo ɣe ma ɣi le Yeriko gbɔ.
Moses divided this possession, in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho on the eastern side.
33 Mose mena anyigba aɖeke Levitɔwo o, elabena abe ale si wòɖe eme na woe ene la, Yehowa Mawu lae nye woƒe domenyinu, Yehowa koe nye nu si wohiã. Yehowa ŋutɔ akpɔ wo ta abe ale si dze ene.
But to the tribe of Levi he did not give a possession. For the Lord, the God of Israel, is himself their possession, just as he spoke to him.
