< Yona 2 >
1 Yona do gbe ɖa na Yehowa, eƒe Mawu la le tɔmelã gã la ƒe dɔ me be,
Then Jonah prayed to the LORD, his God, out of the fish’s belly.
2 “Le nye xaxa gã me, medo ɣli na Yehowa, eye wòɖo tom. Meyɔe le aʋlime ke, eye Yehowa se nye kokoƒoƒo! (Sheol )
He said, “I called because of my affliction to the LORD. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. (Sheol )
3 Ekɔm ƒu gbe ɖe atsiaƒu ƒe gogloƒe ke; meyi to, ƒu dzeagbo la ŋe tsyɔ dzinye, eye ƒutsotsoe sesẽwo si to dzinye.
For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.
4 Ale megblɔ be, ‘O Yehowa, ènyam ɖa le wò ŋkume. Ke hã la, magatrɔ mo ɖe wò gbedoxɔ kɔkɔe la gbɔ.’
I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again towards your holy temple.’
5 Tsi la tsyɔ dzinye, tɔ goglo la ƒo xlãm, eye ƒumegbewo bliba ta nam.
The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head.
6 Meyi to ɖe to kɔkɔ siwo le ƒua me la ƒe agu nu ke. Wotu agbe ƒe mɔ ɖe nunye eye wode gam ɖe ku ƒe anyigba dzi. Gake wò Yehowa, nye Mawu, èɖem tso ku ƒe asi me!
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever; yet you have brought my life up from the pit, LORD my God.
7 “Esi nye agbe nu le tsotsom la, meda nye susuwo ɖe dziwò, Yehowa, eye nye gbedodoɖa ɖo gbɔwò le wò gbedoxɔ kɔkɔe la me.
“When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
8 “Ame siwo subɔa alakpamawuwo la bua Yehowa ƒe amenuveve si anye wo tɔ!
Those who regard vain idols forsake their own mercy.
9 Ke nye la, matsɔ akpedaha asa vɔe na wò, eye maxe nye adzɔgbeɖefe na wò, elabena Yehowa gbɔe ɖeɖe tsona.”
But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to the LORD.”
10 Ale Yehowa ɖe gbe na ƒumelã la, eye wòyi ɖatu Yona ɖe anyigba ƒuƒui dzi.
Then the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
