< Yohanes 9 >
And as Iesus passed by, he sawe a man which was blinde from his birth.
2 Nusrɔ̃lawo bia Yesu be, “Nufiala, ame kae wɔ nu vɔ̃, ŋutsu sia alo edzilawo ƒe nu vɔ̃wo tae wodzii ŋkuagbãtɔea? Eya ŋutɔ ƒe nu vɔ̃e wɔe be wòle alea loo alo edzilawo ƒe nu vɔ̃woe?”
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sinne, this man, or his parents, that he was borne blinde?
3 Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Menye ame sia alo edzilawo ƒe nu vɔ̃ ta ame sia ƒe ŋku gbã ɖo o. Wodzii nenema be woatsɔ aɖe Mawu ƒe ŋusẽ afia.
Iesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents, but that the workes of God should be shewed on him.
4 Esi ŋu ke la, ele be míawɔ ame si dɔm la ƒe dɔ. Ne zã do la, ame aɖeke mate ŋu awɔ dɔ o.
I must worke the workes of him that sent me, while it is day: the night commeth when no man can worke.
5 Zi ale si mele xexea me la, nyee nye xexea me ƒe kekeli la.”
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 Esi wògblɔ nya sia la, eɖe ta ɖe anyigba, eye wòtsɔ ta la blu ba vi aɖe ɖe asi hesisi ɖe ŋkuagbãtɔ la ƒe ŋkuwo dzi.
Assoone as he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spettle, and anointed the eyes of the blinde with the clay,
7 Azɔ egblɔ nɛ be, “Yi nàle tsi le Siloam Ta la me” (Siloam gɔmee nye, “Wodɔe ɖa”).
And sayd vnto him, Go wash in the poole of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came againe seeing.
8 Ŋutsu sia ƒe aƒelikawo kple ame siwo katã nyae tsã be nubiala wònye la bia wo nɔewo be, “Alo ɖe menye ŋkuagbãtɔ ma si nɔ nu biam lae nye esia oa?”
Nowe the neighbours and they that had seene him before, when he was blinde, sayd, Is not this he that sate and begged?
9 Ame aɖewo be eyae, eye ɖewo hã be menye eyae o, ɖeko wòɖii. Ke ŋutsu la ŋutɔ gblɔ be, “Nyee.”
Some said, This is he: and other sayd, He is like him: but he himselfe sayd, I am he.
10 Ameawo biae be, “Ke aleke wɔ hafi wò ŋkuwo ʋu?”
Therefore they sayd vnto him, Howe were thine eyes opened?
11 Ŋutsu la ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Ŋutsu aɖe si woyɔna be Yesu lae nya anyi vi aɖe tsɔ sisi ɖe nye ŋkuwo dzi hegblɔ nam be maɖale tsi le Siloam Ta la me. Mewɔ esia ale nye ŋkuwo ʋu, eye mede asi nukpɔkpɔ me.”
He answered, and sayd, The man that is called Iesus, made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and sayde vnto me, Goe to the poole of Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and receiued sight.
12 Ameawo gabiae be, “Afi ka ame sia le?” Eɖo eŋu na wo be, “Nyemenya o.”
Then they sayd vnto him, Where is he? He sayd, I can not tell.
They brought to the Pharises him that was once blinde.
14 Ke gbe si gbe Yesu nya anyi tsɔ ʋu ŋku nɛ la nye Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke.
And it was the Sabbath day, when Iesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
15 Farisitɔ la hã biae be aleke wòwɔ hafi nèle nu kpɔm? Egblɔ na wo be, “Etsɔ ba sisi ɖe nye ŋkuwo dzi, eye meɖale tsi, eye nye ŋkuwo ʋu, eye mele nu kpɔm.”
Then againe the Pharises also asked him, how he had receiued sight. And hee sayd vnto them, He layd clay vpon mine eyes, and I washed, and doe see.
Ke bubuawo bia be, “Aleke nu vɔ̃ wɔla nate ŋu awɔ nukunu siawoe?” Ale mama ɖo wo dome.
Then said some of the Pharises, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day. Others sayd, Howe can a man that is a sinner, doe such miracles? and there was a dissension among them.
17 Mlɔeba la, wogatrɔ ɖe ŋkuagbãtɔ la ŋu hebiae be, “Ame ka ƒomevi nèbu be enye? Wòe wòʋu ŋku na.” Ŋutsu la ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Nyagblɔɖila wònye.”
Then spake they vnto the blinde againe, What sayest thou of him, because he hath opened thine eyes? And he sayd, He is a Prophet.
Then the Iewes did not beleeue him (that he had bene blinde, and receiued his sight) vntill they had called the parents of him that had receiued sight.
19 Wobia wo be, “Mia vie nye ame sia? Ŋkuagbãtɔe wònye hafi miedzia? Nenye be ele eme nenema ɖe, aleke wɔ wòle nu kpɔm fifia?”
And they asked them, saying, Is this your sonne, whom ye say was borne blinde? How doeth he nowe see then?
20 Edzilawo ɖo eŋu be, “Vavã mía vie, eye ŋkuagbãtɔe míedzii.
His parents answered them, and sayd, We know that this is our sonne, and that he was borne blinde:
21 Gake míenya ale si wòwɔ hafi le nu kpɔm o, eye míenya ame si ʋu eƒe ŋkuwo nɛ o. Mibia eya ŋutɔ; etsi, ate ŋu aƒo nu, aɖe eɖokui nu.”
But by what meanes hee nowe seeth, we know not: or who hath opened his eyes, can we not tell: he is olde ynough: aske him: hee shall answere for himselfe.
22 Edzilawo gblɔ nya sia, elabena wonɔ vɔvɔ̃m na Yudatɔwo, elabena Yudatɔwo ɖoe be ame si agblɔ be Yesue nye Kristo la la, woanyae le gbedoxɔ la me.
These wordes spake his parents, because they feared the Iewes: for the Iewes had ordeined already, that if any man did confesse that he was Christ, he should be excommunicate out of the Synagogue.
23 Esia ta edzilawo gblɔ be, “Etsi, mibia eya ŋutɔ ɖo.”
Therefore sayde his parents, Hee is olde ynough: aske him.
24 Farisitɔawo gayɔ ŋutsu si ƒe ŋkuwo gbã kpɔ la zi evelia, eye wogblɔ nɛ be, “Kafu Mawu boŋ. Míenya be nu vɔ̃ wɔla wònye.”
Then againe called they the man that had bene blinde, and sayd vnto him, Giue glory vnto God: we know that this man is a sinner.
25 Ŋutsu la ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Eɖanye nu vɔ̃ wɔla o, eɖanye ame nyui o, nyemenya o. Nu ɖeka si ko menya lae nye be, tsã la, menye ŋkuagbãtɔ, ke azɔ la, mele nu kpɔm!”
Then he answered, and sayd, Whether hee be a sinner or no, I can not tell: one thing I know, that I was blinde, and nowe I see.
26 Ameawo gabiae be, “Nu ka wòwɔ na wò? Aleke wòwɔ hafi ʋu wò ŋkuwo na wò?”
Then sayd they to him againe, What did he to thee? howe opened he thine eyes?
27 Ŋutsu la ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Megblɔ nya sia na mi xoxo, gake miesee o. Nu ka ta miedi be magagblɔe na mi ɖo? Alo ɖe miedi be yewoazu eƒe nusrɔ̃lawoa?”
Hee answered them, I haue tolde you already, and yee haue not heard it: wherefore would yee heare it againe? will yee also be his disciples?
Then reuiled they him, and sayd, Be thou his disciple: we be Moses disciples.
We know that God spake with Moses: but this man we know not from whence he is.
30 Ŋutsu la ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Ewɔ nuku ŋutɔ be mienya afi si wòtso o, gake eyae ʋu nye ŋkuwo nam.
The man answered, and sayde vnto them, Doutlesse, this is a marueilous thing, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
31 Mienya be Mawu meɖoa to nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo o, ke boŋ eɖoa to mawuvɔ̃la kple ame si wɔa eƒe lɔlɔ̃nu.
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him heareth he.
32 Ame aɖeke mese kpɔ be ame aɖe ʋu ŋku na ame si wodzi ŋkuagbãtɔe kpɔ o. (aiōn )
Since the world began, was it not heard, that any man opened the eyes of one that was borne blinde.
If this man were not of God, hee could haue done nothing.
34 Wogblɔ na ŋutsu la be, “Wò la, nu vɔ̃ me wodzi wò ɖo. Nu ka ta nèdi be yeafia nu mí ɖo?” Ale wonyae do goe.
They answered, and sayd vnto him, Thou art altogether borne in sinnes, and doest thou teach vs? so they cast him out.
35 Yesu se be wonya ŋutsu sia le gbedoxɔ me, eya ta esi wòdo goe la, ebiae be, “Èxɔ Amegbetɔ Vi la dzi sea?”
Iesus heard that they had cast him out: and when he had found him, he sayd vnto him, Doest thou beleeue in the Sonne of God?
36 Ŋutsu la biae be, “Aƒetɔ, ame kae? Gblɔe nam, ne maxɔ edzi ase.”
He answered, and sayd, Who is he, Lord, that I might beleeue in him?
37 Yesu gblɔ nɛ be, “Ame si nèle kpɔkpɔm lae. Le nyateƒe me la, eyae le nu ƒom na wò fifia.”
And Iesus sayd vnto him, Both thou hast seene him, and he it is that talketh with thee.
38 Ŋutsu la gblɔ be, “Aƒetɔ, mexɔe se,” eye wòsubɔe.
Then he sayd, Lord, I beleeue, and worshipped him.
39 Yesu gblɔ nɛ be, “Nye la, ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ ta meva xexea me ɖo, be ŋkuagbãtɔwo nakpɔ nu, eye ame siwo le nu kpɔm la nazu ŋkuagbãtɔwo.”
And Iesus sayd, I am come vnto iudgement into this world, that they which see not, might see: and that they which see, might be made blinde.
40 Farisitɔ siwo nɔ afi ma la biae be, “Ɖe nèle gbɔgblɔm be míawo hã míenye ŋkuagbãtɔwoa?”
And some of the Pharises which were with him, heard these things, and sayd vnto him, Are we blinde also?
41 Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Ne mienye ŋkuagbãtɔwo la, womabu fɔ mi be miewɔ nu vɔ̃ o, gake esi miebe yewole nu kpɔm la, miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo anɔ mia dzi.”
Iesus sayd vnto them, If ye were blinde, ye should not haue sinne: but nowe ye say, We see: therefore your sinne remaineth.
