< Hiob 35 >
1 Tete Elihu yi eƒe nuƒoa dzi be,
Elihu spoke moreover, and said,
2 “Èsusu be esia le dzɔdzɔea? Ègblɔ be, ‘Mawu atso afia nam’
Think you this to be right, that you said, My righteousness is more than God's?
3 gake nèhele ebiam be, ‘Viɖe ka wònye nam eye nu ka makpɔ le eme ne nyemewɔ nu vɔ̃ o?’
For you said, What advantage will it be unto you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
4 “Medi be maɖo eŋu na wò kple xɔ̃wò siwo le gbɔwò.
I will answer you, and your companions with you.
5 Wu mo dzi nàkpɔ dziƒo ɖa, le ŋku ɖe lilikpo siwo le dziƒo boo le tawòme
Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than you.
6 Ne èwɔ nu vɔ̃ la, nu ka wòawɔ le eŋu? Ne wò nu vɔ̃wo sɔ gbɔ fũu la, nu ka wòagblẽ le eŋu?
If you sin, what do you against him? or if your transgressions be multiplied, what do you unto him?
7 Ne ènye dzɔdzɔetɔ la, nu kae nètsɔ nɛ, alo nu kae wòxɔ tso asiwò me?
If you be righteous, what give you him? or what receives he of your hand?
8 Ame abe wò ene ko dzie wò vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖi awɔ dɔ ɖo eye amegbetɔviwo ko dzie wò dzɔdzɔenyenye awɔ dɔ ɖo.
Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are; and your righteousness may profit the son of man.
9 “Amewo le ɣli dom le teteɖeanyi ƒe agba kpekpewo te, wole kuku ɖem be woana gbɔdzɔe yewo tso Ŋusẽtɔ la ƒe alɔ sesẽ te
By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
10 gake ɖeke mebia be, ‘Afi ka Mawu, nye Wɔla, ame si nana kafuhawo ɖina le zã me,
But none says, Where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night;
11 ame si fiaa nu geɖewo mí, wu gbemelã siwo le anyigba dzi eye wòwɔ mí nunyalawoe wu dziƒoxeviwo la le?’
Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
12 Ne amewo le ɣli dom nɛ la, metɔna o, le ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe ɖokuiŋudzedze ta.
There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil men.
13 Vavã, Mawu meɖo to woƒe kokoƒoƒo gbɔlo la o eye Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la do toku wo.
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
14 Ne meɖo to emawo o la, aleke wòaɖo to esia ya boŋ esi nègblɔ be, mele ekpɔm o, wò nya la le eƒe asi me, eye ele be nàlalae.
Although you say you shall not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust you in him.
15 Gawu la, egblɔ be eƒe dziku mehea to na ame gbeɖe o eye menyea kɔ kpɔa vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖi gɔ̃ hã o.
But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he knows it not in great extremity:
16 Ale Hiob ke eƒe nu hegblɔ nya dzodzrowo eye wòlɔ nya siwo me gɔmesese aɖeke mele o la kɔ ɖi gleglegle.”
Therefore does Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without knowledge.
