Hiob 33
1 “Ke azɔ la, Hiob, ɖo to nye nyawo, eye ƒu to anyi ɖe nu sia nu si magblɔ la ŋu.
Hear, therefore, my discourse, I pray thee, O Job! And attend unto all my words!
2 Kpɔ ɖa, mele nye nu ke ge eye nye nyawo le nye aɖe nu.
Behold, I am opening my mouth; My tongue is now speaking in my palate.
3 Nye nyawo tso dzi vavã me eye nye nu agblɔ nu si menya le anukware me.
My words shall be in the uprightness of my heart; My lips shall utter knowledge purely.
4 Mawu ƒe gbɔgbɔe wɔm, Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la ƒe gbɔgbɔe de agbe menye,
The spirit of God made me, And the breath of the Almighty gave me life.
5 eya ta ɖo nya ŋu nam, ne àte ŋui, dzra ɖokuiwò ɖo ne nàhe nya kplim.
If thou art able, answer me; Set thyself in array against me; stand up!
6 Ɖeko mele abe wò ene le Mawu ŋkume, nye hã anyi mee woɖem tsoe.
Behold, I, like thee, am a creature of God; I also was formed of clay.
7 Vɔvɔ̃ nam megado dzikatsoƒo na wò alo nye asi nakpe le dziwò o.
Behold, my terror cannot dismay thee, Nor can my greatness be heavy upon thee.
8 “Gake ègblɔ wòge ɖe nye to me eye mese nya siwo tututu nègblɔ la be,
Surely thou hast said in my hearing, I have heard the sound of thy words:
9 ‘Medza eye nu vɔ̃ mele ŋutinye o, ŋutinye kɔ eye mevo tso vodada me.
“I am pure, and without transgression; I am clean, and there is no iniquity in me.
10 Ke hã la, Mawu kpɔ vodada le ŋunye, eye wòbum eƒe futɔe.
Behold, He seeketh causes of hostility against me; He regardeth me as his enemy.
11 Etsɔ nye afɔ de kunyowu me eye eƒe ŋkuwo le nye mɔwo katã ŋu kplikplikpli.’
He putteth my feet in the stocks; He watcheth all my paths.”
12 “Gake magblɔe na wo be, le esia me ya, tɔwò medzɔ o, elabena Mawu lolo wu amegbetɔ.
Behold, in this thou art not right; I will answer thee; For God is greater than man.
13 Nu ka ŋutie nèle nya hem kplii be, meɖo amegbetɔ ƒe nya aɖeke ŋuti nɛ o?
Why dost thou contend with Him? For he giveth no account of any of his doings.
14 Elabena Mawu ƒoa nu to mɔ sia alo ekemɛ dzi togbɔ be amegbetɔ mekpɔe dze sii o hã.
For God speaketh once, Yea, twice, when man regardeth it not.
15 Le drɔ̃e me, le zã me ƒe ŋutega me, ne amewo dɔ alɔ̃ yi eme ʋĩi alo wole akɔlɔ̃e dɔm le woƒe abawo dzi la,
In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumber upon the bed;
16 ava ƒo nu ɖe to me na wo, atsɔ kpɔdzidzewo ado ŋɔdzii na wo,
Then openeth he the ears of men, And sealeth up for them admonition;
17 be wòana amegbetɔ natrɔ tso vɔ̃wɔwɔ me eye wòaɖee tso dada me,
That he may turn man from his purpose, And hide pride from man.
18 ne wòadzra eƒe luʋɔ ɖo tso yɔdo ƒe asi me eye eƒe agbe magatsrɔ̃ ɖe yi nu o.
Thus he saveth him from the pit, Yea, his life from perishing by the sword.
19 “Alo eƒoa ame le dɔbadzi kple ƒutomevevesese si nɔa edzi ɖaa,
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, And with a continual agitation of his bones,
20 ale be eya ameti bliboa nyɔa ŋu nuɖuɖu eye eƒe luʋɔ doa vlo nuɖuɖu vivitɔ gɔ̃ hã.
So that his mouth abhorreth bread, And his taste the choicest food;
21 Eƒe ŋutilã vɔ le eme eye eƒe ƒu siwo ŋu lã nɔ tehetehe la dze go azɔ.
His flesh is consumed, that it cannot be seen, And his bones, that were invisible, are naked;
22 Eƒe luʋɔ te ɖe yɔdo ŋu kpokploe, eye eƒe agbe ɖo ku ƒe dɔlawo ƒe asi me.
Yea, his soul draweth near to the pit, And his life to the destroyers.
23 Ke hã la, ne Mawudɔla le eƒe axadzi abe nyaxɔɖeakɔla ene, ɖeka le akpe dome, be wòagblɔ nu si nyo na ame la nɛ,
But if there be with him a messenger, An interpreter, one of a thousand, Who may show unto man his duty,
24 heve enu, gblɔ nɛ be, ‘Ɖe eƒe agbe be magayi yɔdo me o elabena mekpɔ avulénu nɛ’ la,
Then will God be gracious to him, and say, “Save him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.”
25 tete eƒe ŋutilã zua yeye abe ɖevi tɔ ene eye wògaɖoa eƒe nɔnɔme me abe eƒe ɖekakpuimeŋkekewo me ene.
His flesh shall became fresher than a child's; He shall return to the days of his youth.
26 Edoa gbe ɖa na Mawu eye wòkpɔa amenuveve tso egbɔ, ekpɔa Mawu ƒe ŋkume eye wòdoa dzidzɔɣli, ale Mawu gaɖonɛ te, be wòanɔ dzɔdzɔenyenye si me wònɔ tsã.
He shall pray to God, and he will be favorable to him, And permit him to see his face with joy, And restore unto man his righteousness.
27 Tete wòvaa amewo gbɔ, gblɔna be, ‘Mewɔ nu vɔ̃ hedo vlo nu si le dzɔdzɔe gake nyemexɔ tohehe si medze na la o.
He shall sing among men, and say, “I sinned; I acted perversely; Yet hath he not requited me for it:
28 Eɖe nye agbe tso yɔdomeyiyi me, eye manɔ agbe adzɔ dzi le eƒe kekeli me.’
He hath delivered me from going down to the pit, And my life beholdeth the light.”
29 “Mawu wɔa nu siawo katã na ame, zi eve alo etɔ̃ gɔ̃ hã,
Lo! all these things doeth God Time after time with man,
30 be wòaɖe eƒe luʋɔ tso tsiẽƒe, be agbe ƒe kekeli naklẽ ɖe edzi.
That he may bring him back from the pit, That he may enjoy the light of the living.
31 “Ƒu to anyi, Hiob, ne nàɖo tom, zi ɖoɖoe, ne maƒo nu.
Mark well, O Job! hearken to me! Keep silence, and I will speak.
32 Ne nya aɖe le asiwò la, ɖo nya ŋu nam, elabena medi be wòatso na wò.
Yet if thou hast any thing to say, answer me! Speak! for I desire to pronounce thee innocent.
33 Gake ne mele eme o la, ekema nàɖo tom, zi ɖoɖoe ne mafia nunya wò.”
But if not, do thou listen to me! Keep silence, and I will teach thee wisdom!
