< Hiob 28 >
1 “Klosalokuƒe li eye teƒe li si wololõa sika le.
“Surely there is a source for silver, And a place for the gold they refine;
2 Wokua gayibɔ le tome eye wokpɔa akɔbli ne wololõ akɔblikpe.
Iron is taken from the dust, And bronze [from] the firm stone.
3 Amegbetɔ ɖo seƒe na viviti, etsana le didiƒewo kple viviti tsiɖitsiɖitɔ kekeake me hena tomenuwo.
He has set an end to darkness, And he is searching to all perfection, A stone of darkness and death-shade.
4 Eɖe do wògoglo yi eme ʋĩi hedidi tso amenɔƒe gbɔ, teƒe si amewo ƒe afɔ mede kpɔ o; teƒe goglo sia, si didi tso amewo gbɔ lae wonɔa ka me henɔa nyenyem le yame le.
A stream has broken out from a sojourner, Those forgotten of the foot, They were low, they wandered from man.
5 Anyigba si me wokpɔa nuɖuɖu tsonae lae wotrɔ le tome abe dzo me wòto ene.
The earth! Bread comes forth from it, And its under-part is turned like fire.
6 Woɖea safirkpe tso eƒe kpe siwo wogbã la me eye woɖea sika tso eƒe kewɔ me.
A place of the sapphire [are] its stones, And it has dust of gold.
7 Xe ƒonuwo menya toƒe ɣaɣla ma o eye aʋako aɖeke ƒe ŋku mekpɔe kpɔ o
A path—a ravenous bird has not known it, Nor has an eye of the falcon scorched it,
8 Gbemelã siwo dana la meka afɔ afi ma kpɔ o, eye dzata aɖeke hã mezɔ afi ma kpɔ o.
Nor have the sons of pride trodden it, The fierce lion has not passed over it.
9 Ame ƒe asi gbã kpe sesẽawo eye wòna towo te dze go.
He sent forth his hand against the flint, He overturned mountains from the root.
10 Eɖea mɔ ɖe kpeawo tome eye eƒe ŋkuwo kpɔa eƒe nu xɔasi vovovowo katã.
Among rocks, he has cleaved brooks, And his eye has seen every precious thing.
11 Etsana le tsidzɔƒewo eye wòhea nu ɣaɣlawo vaa kekeli nu.
He has bound overflowing rivers, And the hidden thing brings out [to] light.
12 “Ke afi ka woakpɔ nunya le? Afi ka gɔmesese nɔna?
And the wisdom—from where is it found? And where [is] this, the place of understanding?
13 Amegbetɔ mese eƒe nuvãnyenye gɔme o, womate ŋu akpɔe le agbagbeawo ƒe anyigba dzi o.
Man has not known its arrangement, Nor is it found in the land of the living.
14 Gogloƒe gblɔ be, ‘Menye tɔnyee o,’ Atsiaƒu gblɔ be, ‘Mele gbɔnye o,’
The deep has said, It [is] not in me, And the sea has said, It is not with me.
15 Womate ŋu aƒlee kple sika nyuitɔ alo woada klosalo ɖe eƒe home nu o.
Gold is not given for it, Nor is silver weighed—its price.
16 Màte ŋu aƒlee kple sika adodoe si tso Ofir alo kple kpe xɔasiwo, oniks kple safir o.
It is not valued with pure gold of Ophir, With precious onyx and sapphire,
17 Sika alo kristalkpe masɔ kplii o eye womatsɔ sikanuwo gɔ̃ hã aɖɔlii o.
Gold and crystal do not equal it, Nor [is] its exchange a vessel of fine gold.
18 Womayɔ sui kple adzagba ƒe ŋkɔwo gɔ̃ hã ɖe eŋu o elabena nunya ƒe asixɔxɔ kɔ wu gbloti tɔ sãsãsã.
Corals and pearl are not remembered, The acquisition of wisdom [is] above rubies.
19 Womatsɔ Kuskpe xɔasi, topaz, asɔ kplii o eye sika nyuitɔ mate ŋu aƒlee o.
The topaz of Cush does not equal it, It is not valued with pure gold.
20 “Ekema afi ka nunya tso? Afi ka nye gɔmesese ƒe nɔƒe?
And the wisdom—from where does it come? And where [is] this, the place of understanding?
21 Eɣla ɖe nu gbagbe ɖe sia ɖe ƒe ŋkukpɔƒe eye woɣlae ɖe dziƒoxeviwo gɔ̃ hã.
It has been hid from the eyes of all living. And from the bird of the heavens It has been hidden.
22 Tsiẽƒe kple ku gblɔ be, ‘Nyasegblɔ tso eŋuti koe ɖo míaƒe towo me.’
Destruction and death have said: With our ears we have heard its fame.
23 Mawue nya egbɔmɔ eye eya koe nya afi si wòle.
God has understood its way, And He has known its place.
24 Elabena eyae tea ŋu kpɔa anyigba ƒe mlɔenu ke, eye wòkpɔa nu sia nu si le ɣea te.
For He looks to the ends of the earth, He sees under the whole heavens,
25 Esi wòɖo ya ƒe ŋusẽ anyi, hedzidze tsiwo vɔ,
To make a weight for the wind, And He meted out the waters in measure.
26 esi wòwɔ se na tsidzadza, heta mɔ na dziɖegbe kple ahom vɔ la,
In His making for the rain a limit, And a way for the brightness of the voices,
27 enye kɔ kpɔ nunya, dzro eme kpɔ eye wòda asi ɖe edzi, hedoe kpɔ.
Then He has seen and declares it, He has prepared it, and also searched it out,
28 Tete wògblɔ na amegbetɔ be, ‘Kpɔ ɖa, Aƒetɔ la vɔvɔ̃e nye nunya eye nugbegbe le vɔ̃ gbɔe nye gɔmesese.’”
And He says to man: Behold, fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom, And to turn from evil [is] understanding.”
